A perfect spot to relax and enjoy Door County. Comfortable, clean and a beautiful setting. The employees of the Yacht Club were very friendly and accommodating. Working with the owner of this unit was easy; they offered suggestions and followed up to make sure our needs were met. This unit has a small but perfectly stocked kitchen, complete with dishwasher! We ate our meals out but with a little planning, you could carry in supplies for a few meals and take advantage of the nearby grill as well. This property is a home run for sure.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
Owner response: We are so glad that you had a fun get away. You are quite right that eating in is an option however with all of the wonderful restaurants in Door County it is nearly impossible to do so. We love to pick up food from one of the Baileys Harbor restaurants and return to our place to eat it and enjoy the sunset. Thanks for your positive review. We hope that you will return again.

Wow! This getaway was so much fun - even in the off-season of Door County! We were thrilled to find such a deal! We were looking to escape the city life for a few days and knew DC would be quiet. Just what we needed - just the sounds of nature. Room was as shown in pictures - only it doesn't do it justice! It is kept perfect just waiting for your arrival. Location was perfect. I can see why in the summer season this would be a big hit! The resort had literally everything you could ask for. We saw 10+ deer each night we were there. They are beautiful! The hot tub in the room was awesome - as was the shower. Bed was comfortable - as well as the fire place. Very romantic when it's just the two of you! :) We were so impressed with this unit and the Bailey's Harbor Yacht Club - we are thinking of potentially buying a unit of our own. It's THAT nice! Thank you so much for your hospitality! The only down side of going up in the off-season, was most restaurants/shops are closed for the winter. We had to travel across the island (12 minute drive) and down to Sturgeon Bay (30 minute drive) to eat meals. Bailey's Harbor did have a few restaurants open, but you can only eat at one place so much. :) I can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: So glad to know that everything was as you had expected. Being there is always a great escape from your daily life. The plus side to a few less restaurants being open is that there are a lot less people. Our local restaurants in Baileys Harbor offer a great variety of dining choices and it is just a short drive to Sister Bay with many more to choose from. Good luck on your quest to purchase a unit. In the mean time you are always welcome to stay at our place. Your home away from home.

My wife and I come to Door County for one weekend each winter to get away from it all and this room is second to none. The room was super clean, the furniture very comfortable, a large whirlpool tub and HD TV for lounging, and a kitchenette for warming up our leftovers from the many excellent meals we had throughout Door County. Bailey's Harbor is perfect if you're looking for someplace quiet and is located between gorgeous state parks to the north, west and south. The cross-country ski & snowshoe trails were amazing during our visit (they're just as fun to hike in the summer), and we found plenty of shopping deals throughout the many stores in the area. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We were happy to hear that you had a great stay and that you were pleased with your accommodations. We love it there and it is always nice to know that our guests are pleased after their stay. Sounds like you did it right and hit many of the things that make Door County a fun place to visit. We hope that you will return again in a different season to enjoy some of the other activities.

We had an awesome 3 nights at your place. My wife and I both absolutely loved it! The room was so relaxing, clean, and had everything that we needed. The chairs are very comfortable, as is the couch. The fireplace relaxing and warming. The view magnificent, especially the sunset after a sunny day. The bed was superbly comfortable. Everything was just perfect. The short walk over to the indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna was a surprise and worked great. We had a wonderful time, and wished we could stay for a few more nights! Thank you so much for all your help and assistance and helping to make our stay just fantastic. You can be guaranted a quiet, relaxing, comfortable get away in this room at BHYC!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
Owner response: We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and better yet that you enjoyed our place. Sure hope that you will be able to come back again and have another relaxing stay.

Living in N. VA. outside of D.C. Your home was a great find of quiet, beauty and rest. It was very comfortable, well decorated and clean. Really enjoyed the view and patio to just gaze at the view and hear the sounds of the lake. It's amazing NYC can be so busy and here it can be so peaceful and relaxing. You have a great home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a cottage in Gills Rock for 18 years and spent summers and falls here raising the kids. My parents came up from N.C.- Such a special place on this earth! Ray and I are back ALONE for a fall fest and so pleased to have this lovely spot to enjoy! We've lived in AZ for the last 11 years and we miss these fall colors. We are leaving om a raw and rainy day (not unusual for fall in Door County) but enjoyed radient sunshine yesterday! The glowing firs and peaceful view make it hard to go! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Came up to Door County for what is becoming an annual trip for our anniversary. This year mark 23 years! We love all the outdoor activities and always bike through Peninsula State Park and into Ephraim for lunch at Wilson's. We went to Whitefish Dunes Park and took a nice run along the shore. We had a great dinner at The Shoreline restaurant in Gills Rock and also at Vallagio's outside Fish Creek. The weather has been windy and brisk but sunny. The room has been very comfortable and a treat to come back to after busy days.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We came here for our first wedding anniversary. Had a great relaxing time. The room is great and we loved the beautiful sunsets right outside our patio door. We went on the scenic trolley tour and both really liked it and would highly recommend it. We also took the ferry to Washington Island. The ride over was a little rocky but fun. The ride back was super windy and more like an amusement park ride and quite rough but we still had fun. We had a great Mexican meal at JJ's in Jacksonport and the rest of the time we cooked in our room. We enjoyed that option here! The rest of the time we just enjoyed all of the cool shops and orchards and also did wine wine tasting. We are hoping to make this a yearly tradition! Also hoping to come back during peak season. Thanks for the awesome suite!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It was wonderful to be back in Door County again. We have vacationed at the Rushes Resort in the past but the views here are spectacular and we hope to return. We enjoyed the pools, bikes and hiked daily. Lunch at the Mission Grille was great. Dinner at the English Inn and at the Florian in town were fabulous. Thank you for the great room and views.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a fabulous time here and hope to be back. Everything was perfect. We rodee bikes every day and were happy to see lots of thimbleberries. we had dinner at the CornerstonePub in Baileys Harbor and also at J.J.'s in Sister Bay. In past years we have watched the sunset at the Top Deck at Gordon's Lodge during dinner but this year we usually watched from our patio here. We always hate to leave. Door County is always good for the soul. Thank you for sharing your paradise with us.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
