The White House Cottage is a beautiful, large Colonial style home located just a few short blocks from the downtown. The White House has a number of interesting architectural features, e.g. eyebrow window over the front door, etc. The cottage has three large bedrooms, two with king beds and one with queen. There are three full bathrooms including a lower one with a washer/dryer. The large living room has plenty of comfortable seating, a TV entertainment center, fireplace and a queen sized sofa-bed. The large kitchen and dining room is fully equipped with all appliances, cooking utensils and a dishwasher. There is also a game room off the kitchen. The cottage has air conditioning throughout even though it is almost always naturally cool because of the many shade trees surrounding the home. The house has a lovely large deck and yard with swing and firepit and sits very far back from the street. This makes it an ideal place for yard games, children's play and family events yet is very quiet and secluded. The large deck sits on the front of the house with a table, seating and a large gas grill. This is a perfect place for enjoying your time with family and friends. The cottage is only 1 1/2 blocks from the downtown business district and the River. There is also a beautiful nature preserve just 100 yards down the street. Take your coffee and make a morning walk on the nature trail that winds along the border of the wetland area. This area is full of wildlife and nature's beauty. The Cottage is a great place for families and groups of friends who are looking for a comfortable place to create many vacation memories

$1850 Weekly Rate, does not include 8% occupancy tax. Weekly rentals from Fri-Fri. Advanced reservations require a 4 night stay. $500 deposit is required within 7 days. Upon receipt cottage is considered 'Sold in Advance'. Deposits will will be refunded if cancellations are made more that 60 days prior to check-in. A $200 damage/cleaning security deposit is also required with weekly rentals. Balances due at check-in must be paid by cash or money order - no personal checks or credit cards will be accepted. 2 or 3 night rentals can be made in the off season or within 2 weeks or less of rental date. $225 - $400 nightly rate plus tax

About the owner: The owners of this cottage are orignally from the Farmington Michigan area where they had a home and owned a number of rental properties over the years. They are now retired and live in Saugatuck in their home on the river during the summer. During the winters they live and travel around Southern Florida and the Keys in their motor home and/or large power boat.
Why the Owner Chose Saugatuck:
The owners fell in love with the White House Cottage and bought it because it had alot of character and would make a very comfortable rental for people visiting Saugatuck. They have since done a major amount of remodeling and repairs to make the cottage a wonderful place for large families of groups to stay and enjoy Saugatuck.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This home is very large with lots of sleeping options and three full bathrooms one with washer/dryer. It is ideal for large families or groups of friends and those with pets. It has a large yard with deck, grill, fire pit and swing which make it an ideal place to congregate outside. It has an ideal location just a 1 1/2 from downtown shops and restaurants.
