Get-away to the Cascade Mountains in the Pristine Methow Valley. Lazy "K" Lodge is just seven miles out of Twisp on Highway 20. Just 7 miles from the Loop Loop Downhill Ski Resort.
We have 43 acres with a pond and creek running year around in front of the house. Room for horse and snowmobile trailers. Lazy "K" is great for family, group, and club gatherings. There is lots of lawn space (for an over flow of big crowds), that surrounds the house. Wildlife wonders through year round. The area provides one of the longest cross-country groomed ski trails in the county. With an abundance of snow all winter long, there is snowmobiling into late spring.
There are miles of horseback trails on a game preserve, right across from the lodge. With some of the best hunting and fishing in the state of Washington, you are bound to catch something. Raft the Methow River, and shop in the unique galleries in Twisp or Winthrop the old western town. Attend the Omak Stampede. Dine at a fine restaurant or at a "good old boys" rustic bar. Summertime has a live theater or visit Saturday's farmers market in Twisp. There is a lot to do, and fun for all.
At the lodge, cook up a meal on an outside grill and enjoy the evening around a camp fire, then relax in the hot tub. You've never seen so many stars at night as up in the Methow Valley. So come to the Valley and you won't be disappointed, it's a place like no other.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1996
Husband and I live in the Coeur d Alene Id area. My husband has been a Captain with the Spokane Valley Fire Dept. for the last 27 years. We also do a little farming on the side. We put up about 300 ton of hay a year and have a u-pick strawberry field that all the family works in. Also have 2000 nursery trees growing. Our 3 children have grown up, and now starting families and lifes of there own. We just love being Grandparents.
Why the Owner Chose Twisp
The property was homesteaded, by my adopted grandparents family,{ 300 plus acres}, then developed and divided off in the early 1960, Byron and Marie Stalcup,(Grandparents} Lived in the small home then built the large home in 1971, Byron was a retired Military, and had traveled all over the world, and wanted to retire in the Methow Valley: After Byron died, Marie Moved to Spokane to be Closer to our family, We purchase the place in 1996 from her and strated doing remodeing of the small home. ( Large home was rented out) . Then in 2002, we did a remodel on the large home finished in 2004. Our family love to use the home for Vacation, so we didn't want to rent out full time, So to help cover the cost and taxes we decided to rent out the place as a Vacation rental. My parent still own the ranch up above, where I lived as a child. We still love to come up when ever we can, and will spend more time in the area when Mark retires.

Snow fun at the Loup

Date of Stay: 12/28/11
Review Submitted: 01/02/12
We just returned from a vacation with our family. 15 of us in total. The house had plenty of room for all of us. Nine grandkids and six adults. 3 bedrooms gave adults some privacy. There were beds for all of us. Nice not to have cable tv., we were able to play games and watch lots of movies. So close to Loup Loup ski area. However, not enough snow for skiing. But the sledding was great! I would recommend this property to anyone, especially if you have a large group!
Recommended for:Pet owners, girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.
