We decided at the last minute to get away for a weekend to Lake Michigan. We also have a small dog. There were not many to choose from within our time frame. When I inquired about the stay, they were prompt and professional unlike some other homes. We arranged everything within 24 hours and were on our way. The house location is fantastic. The state park was just a walk down the street, private Lake Michigan beach access was a short walk down a quiet road with many interesting historic homes. Downtown Holland is but a 10 - 15 minute car ride. Parking at the house was no problem with 2 private parking spots. My two girls could not believe how many rooms this house had! They would yell out - "I found another one!" All in all, the house was kept very clean. The small downside was that there was evidence of needing a few repairs here and there, mainly aesthetic things. All appliances, windows, plumbing, worked perfectly. Beds were great and there were extra blankets and pillows. Plenty of towels. We do understand that this is a rental and not everything was going to be 5 star. My family would definitely stay again sometime when the urge hits us to go see Lake Michigan!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Property is in a great location. General store (with great ice cream) and a couple of casual restaurants within easy walking distance. Ammenities were nice and we really enjoyed the front porch/patio for dining/hanging out. Entrance and first floor has some steps so manuevering around is a bit of an issue. Very small bedroom on the first floor. Minor issue with water but it was corrected quickly. Owners are very nice and attentive. Will stay here again in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Our family had a great time!! The cottage was historic yet modern. Great kitchen & dining room. More than enough sleeping accomodations for us. Tracy & Tamara were super helping us get checked in and during our stay. The ice cream shop across the street was a definite surprise benefit - especially for my grandaughters, 13 & 6.. and of course the adults didn't mind the after dinner treats either!! Did a lot of walking, swimming, boating, fishing.. and of course... chillin'!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.
