Welcome to your townhome at Cambridge Cove in the beautiful new resort of Bermuda Bay just a couple of minutes to the ocean!
Bermuda Bay invokes the spirit of the Island of Bermuda itself with its vibrant colors and lush landscaping. It is truly a one of a kind community here with its waterpark that includes a pool, watersprays, aqua slide and meandering circular river. Relax under sun-shaded cabanas. You enter the waterpark through the Elbow Beach clubhouse which has a community kitchen and meeting room, pool tables and a fitness center. There is also a volleyball area for more activity.
The townhome layout is like this - the ground floor has a single garage with extra storage. Next to this is the small foyer leading to steps to the first floor. The first floor has 2 queen bedrooms, each with a bathroom and balcony. The next floor has an open living area which includes a full kitchen with a bar with 2 stools, a dining table with 4 chairs, a living room with a sleeper couch, flatscreen TV and stereo system, gas fireplace, outside balcony with an outside dining table and 4 chairs, and finally a half bath for guests.
We love well-behaved dogs at no extra charge.
The townhome itself is in the heart of Kill Devil Hills - within walking distance of the Wright Brothers Monument, beach access and exciting shops and a variety of restaurants. There is a beach access within 1/4 mile with ample free parking. There is also a bike bath running from the resort to the beach, which extends for 20 another miles (2 bikes are included with the rental in the garage - however, no helmets provided). The home has outdoor decks for outdoor dining and viewing the lovely sunsets after a great day on the beach
This will be your gateway to exploring the Outer Banks - tons of activities. As we've mentioned, the Wright Brothers Monument is within walking distance. Jockey's Ridge with its hanggliding school and giant sand dune to explore are only 2 miles away.
Rental companies abound that can supply you with kayaks, surfboards, boats, windsurfers, jet skis, and almost anything you can imagine to do with water activity in the ocean or on the sound. 2 fishing piers are nearby. About 20 miles away is the quaint town of Manteo with Fort Raleigh, Roanoke Island Festival Park aSomend a replica of the Elizabeth II, the famous Christmas Shop, as well as many boutiques and restaurants.
You won't have time in one week to do all the great activities this area provides, so you'll just have to keep coming back!
We know you'll want to return to Bermuda Bay as well!

Hair, bugs and dirty
I can enclose pictures of the disgusting hair and bugs that I found in the bed of your rental townhouse we stayed over Labor Day weekend.. As soon as we got into our room, I pulled down the comforter to check the linens, as I do wherever I stay. That's where I found the hair and bugs. Not if this was bad enough, I found the rental to be dirty. Stains all over the carpets, dirt and grime on the steps (baseboards and walls), animal hair on the couch and tables, and lastly, dirty pots and pans. Once I found one sauce pan that had crud in it, I made sure we washed every dish or pan we used. And about the pots and pans, really? They look like they came from a thrift store, extremely used and scratched. Matter of fact, one of the fry pans had a $1.99 magic marker price tag written on it. The toothbrush holder in our bathroom had old toothpaste still on it. We never used it. Towels provided were used as cover for the floor. The linens in our bedroom were stripped off the bed, along with the urine stained comforter and placed in the closet. I never walked barefoot in the place. Needless to say, this is the worse place I've rented in all my years coming to the Outer Banks. And trust me, I have rented many a vacation home in the area and have never been as disappointed in a rental as I have with this place. I did call the property contact and informed him of the bed bugs and hair. He asked what we wanted him to do and even offered to send someone to clean. He explained that it was end of the season and the house takes a lot of wear and tear. I was so angry and disgusted at the time I couldn't think straight. All I wanted to do is to get to a store for cleaning supplies, which I ended up doing, cleaning with Lysol and Clorox cleaner. The property contact never did call back or come by to check things out. Other rental agencies have always been very responsive and prompt when issues were found. After looking at this rental on your website, I noticed that the pictures must be of another unit with the same furniture as it's layout is different from the one we had. The address we rented is not like what was represented in the picture. The water park was nice though. Also, know that the only view from the patio is overlooking the high school's football field.

Just a note to let you know how happy we were with our stay at your home.It meet our every need. We loved the pool.And having bikes was so fun too. Had a wonderful time with our whole family. We enjoyed our stay at this property. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Very close drive or bike ride to the beach each day. The kids enjoyed the pool (with lazy river, fountains, slide) each evening. My teenage son used the workout room each day.. My daughter and I used the bikes to explore the bike paths nearby. My husband fished off the nearby pier each morning. We went to the beach each afternoon. The townhouse was very clean and we had everything we needed. A perfect stay at a great price! We have stayed with VRBOs all over the country. This one was a great, easy experience!

Great Place for OBX marathon events
This place fit needs well! Very great communication with managers via e-mail and phone. Everything you could need was provided. My husband, pup, and I felt comfortable during the stay. Walking distance to Wright memorial. Location was perfect because the race expo and and First flight 5k were within walking distance. It is also close to the trail for the flying pirate half marathon so my husband and pup were able to walk over and cheer me on at mile 8 on sun. This place could easily accommodate 2 or 3 couples, but it was so nice to have it to ourselves! The only thing I would like is for second floor front door to have and extra lock. There was one lock but there wasn't a deadbolt. Bottom door was very secure (regular lock and deadbolt) and there was a garage door opener provided which was so convenient. It was honestly the easiest check-in(get the key) and check-out I have ever done! The place was clean, linens and towels smelled fresh, and the kitchen utensils were in good useful order. It was perfect for our golden doodle too. Walking him was easy and the bags were provided in the community with plenty of walking area. I didn't even use the clubhouse even though the passes were laying on the counter, but it looked fun for kids! We ate at 2 close by restaurants that we loved kill devil grill (try the beer shrimp appetizer) and flying fish. Both excellent!!! OVERALL great place to stay! Thank you for another great trip to OBX

First the Positive: The agent was responsive during the pre-rental conversations and always returned phone calls; the location is about 1 mile from the beach and close to the Wright Memorial; the unit was clean on arrival with easy access through key lock box and the interior photos were reflective of the unit; close to walking and bike path; pet friendly; flat screen TV in living room, but not HD access, amenities are as disclosed, wifi worked well. If you have Verizon wireless on occasion we had a problem connecting through my mifi. The Negative: We called the agent 30 minutes before arrival but never heard from him again; the furniture is worn (knobs on dresser falling off); lamp in "master" bedroom flickers; light on rear outside entrance burned out; neighbor next to unit has discarded beer cans all over the ground and cigarette butts every where; landscaping behind the unit is horrible; views from living room and "master" bedroom were great if you're a high school football referee (I Am) you look at power lines, high school stadium and school. The views in listing are looking at front where kitchen and 2nd bedroom are; outside maintenance from many units is poor, white paint is faded and chipping many exposed nails are rust colored; bring your own soap, paper towels, trash bags, dish washer detergent, coffee (there were filters and newer coffee pot); bedrooms and baths are VERY small, wife and I used seperate baths, too small to share and mattress was very firm. ; Not a negative but need to be aware that town house has 3 levels: first is garage and there is a garage door opener( 2 bikes are also available for your use), second has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, third is great room, kitchen and 1/2 bath with expansive vaulted ceiling, dogs and us enjoyed the exercise during the day and night climbing 26 steps (13 each level) :-) We've rented from VRBO, Home Away for years probably 9 locations nationally and internationally and this rental did NOT meet our expectations. It's important to note that the rental was very reasonable for the area AND you do get what you pay for.

Manager response: I had talked to this man before they rented and had a good rapport: I was even going to hook up with him and take our dogs hiking in nearby woods trails. I am an owner not an agency, so you can call me anytime, i.e. 10pm on Sunday, but I don't keep office hours so might be a short delay in reaching me. We do supply start-up supplies - paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap in each bathroom. We've checked around and that is the same for most home rentals. Bermuda Bay has a great aqua park and pool but I must admit the townhomes are not oceanfront - that would cost about seven thousand dollars a week! It is a townhome that shares a building and once in a while a party happens hence the beer cans: this party situation is much less than the units near the beach. This renter I think is a good guy and I regret he never called to take the dogs for a walk, however, I think he is being picky, picky.
