After having rented a number of homes throughout the Londonderry and Manchester areas this past winter I felt compelled to write a review about this particular house as it was the favorite of my family of 4. This home's description and photos are spot on (unlike some other homes I have rented where what you see is not necessarily what you get) The house is very spacious and furnished beautifully. We had 4 adults and 2 children in the home for our weekend and everyone had a blast. The kitchen is beautiful and Fully stocked with everything you might need. Plus there are 2 comfy club chairs and a wood burning stove in the kitchen making it an instant favorite place to hang out and relax. The dining room table is huge and easily fit our group of 6 and the TV room is a perfect place to relax with a big couch, gas fireplace and more club chairs. You get the best of both worlds with this home. It maintains the ambiance of a centuries old farmhouse (with beautiful wide-plank wood floors and Oriental rugs throughout) yet all of the bathrooms are newly renovated and have good water pressure for the showers. (important after a day of skiing) The master bedroom is large with antique furnishings and the 3 bedrooms upstairs all provide more than enough space, the King bedded room upstairs is enormous, complete with a sectional couch of its own. There really is so much to love about this house we can't wait to return.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We stayed with one other family with children. The house was spacious and comfortable. Historic home wonderfully redone. Very clean and well furnished. Bathrooms were well stocked with quality towels. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. Very close to Stratton Mountain to ski. We had a great time and will be back in a few weeks!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers.

This is a quinticential Vermont experience. Beauty, serenity, peace ... this is the place you dream about when you lay in a hammock and think it couldn't get any better than this... So close to so much real Vermont... Ski (choice of several increadible mountians), Hike (trails outside your door or just down the road for beginner to advanced) Antique (around every corner there is a store to explore) Kyack, swim, horseback riding, This location is close to everything but far enough away to create your own experience. The property is large scenic. The home is historic, comfortable with lots of nooks and cranny's so even with a full house you can find a place of your own to cozy up with a good book. The kitchen is a gathering place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (cocktails too) it is the hub from where you can plan the days adventures. There is space enough for kids to go do their thing and adults to reaquaint themselves or share the stories of the day. This is a real home away from home an authentic Vermont lifestyle experience you will always treasure and talk about for years to come.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
