Spacious one-bedroom duplex with two living areas located in quiet island community: Perfect for beach combing, romantic getaway, or girl's night out. Sleeps 1 - 5 (mix of adults/children). Located halfway between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C., just minutes from Anacortes ferry to the San Juan Islands.
When first entering the suite, you will step into a combined living area, dinette and kitchenette. The kitchenette offers two small refrigerators, a propane cook stove, a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, George Foreman Grill and an electric fry pan as well as all necessary dishes and cutlery.
Enter a second living area with a 60” flat screen t.v., a large leather couch and chairs (think football or late-night movies and popcorn). Relax in comfort and quiet.
Tucked quietly in the back of the suite, the bedroom has a queen size bed and plenty of closet space. The bath offers thick absorbent towels and a large five-foot shower with a sitting bench.
This quiet little beach community of less than 100 souls offers miles and miles of beach combing. One of the greatest kayaking bays on the Salish Sea with numerous islands to explore. From the beach there is a spectacular July 4th fireworks display, free.
From the home, often the only sounds are seagulls and the occasional call of a loon. Wake to the sounds of morning doves cooing.
This home is suitable for a romantic couple's retreat or small families with children. It is very suitable for elderly people - you could not get a wheel chair in the bath, but there are no steps and the sit-down shower is a quick luxury.
Downtown La Conner, along the saltwater Swinomish Channel, has great shopping, dining, antiquing and just plain walking slow and dilly dallying. La Conner has several festivals throughout the year: Tulips in April, Art's Alive in November, The Farm Festival, The Smelt Derby and the local Not-so-Impromptu parade.

This property is perfect for a getaway, you'll wish you lived there, we did! It's very spacious and clean, and has everything you need (the bath towels are so cushy). The bedroom has a comfy queen bed and they have a blow up (just plug it in and it blows itself up) sofa/bed height queen airbed. There are 2 living rooms, one with a huge 60 inch TV. They have a wide variety of movies (stuff that both guys and girls will like) and lots of boardgames (we brought some with us and didn't need to, save yourself the work and leave yours at home). You get western views of the Sound and you're only minutes from cute downtown LaConner. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Stayed one week at Hope Island Suite which is located in a extremely quiet neighborhood. Description on listing completely accurate. Very clean and well maintained and spacious. Bed very comfortable. Communtiy beach is one block away. Travel time to Anacortes (10 -15 minutes) or La Conner (10 minutes). Great location to use as a base to explore the area. My husband and I during our stay, hiked in Deception Pass State Park, rode the ferry and toured Lopez Island on our bikes, hiked to the top of Mt. Eirie and visited Mt Baker for the day. Ate one night at a fantastic Thai restaurant in La Conner. A couple or a family with one child would be comfortable here.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, girls getaway.

We had the pleasure of staying at this location over the 4th of July 2012. WOW! Not only was the weather wonderful, but the Hope Island Suite suited us perfectly. As hard working parents we were in desperate need of a peaceful place to re-charge and this was just what we needed. THE MOST comfortable Queen size bed made us want to just keep sleeping! A kitchenette with all the right tools & lush bath towels made us want to move in. Seriously considered extending our stay to experience this beautiful location one more day. The owners were available & accommodating. The neighborhood is lovely & quiet, the people were kind & in our opinion this is the best place to stay in La Conner. *If you stay over the 4th of July - be prepared for several firework shows right outside the large picture windows. AH-Mazing!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

As the property manager I stayed for one night at this sweet little ground-floor condo. It was clean and SPACIOUS and very quiet. I never once heard any noise (and I'm very easily awakened). There are two living areas (one with a 60" flat screen t.v. - think football) - very appropriate for two couples or even a girl's retreat (the queen-size blowup mattress was surprisingly comfortable - I even tried that out). I slept through the night on the regular bed, warm and quiet. The kitchen had everything I needed. My grandchildren stayed on the beach for hours, while I bundled up and read a book. Skagit Bay has miles and miles of beaches - most of them are rocky and many are on mud flats (which are delightful in their own right), but the beach at this place is sandy with small pebbles and driftwood stacked up like a breakwater.
