    I have stayed at approximately 10 rental houses for vacations. This had to be the best equipped house so far. Everything was top quality and spotless. The garden was a wonderful respite from the busyness of travel. Janet made herself available for questions but was very professional. She has done a wonderful job decorating the cottage. Wish we could have stayed longer. We spent a whole day in Napa and visited The Sterling Winery as recommended by a friend. It had georgous views, a tram to the roof top, good wines and a self guided visual/auditory tour. Had lunch at Rutherfords Grill near Calistoga and then visited Long Meadow Ranch tasting room for wine and olive oil. Our last day we drove to Bodega Bay and Point Reyes National Seashore Lighthouse, which had stunning beauty. Highway 1 is a must if you are in the area. The roads and winding and twisting but million dollar views.

    The planning, the reception, and the actual stay were all beyond expectations. My wife and I used this location as a base for enjoying all the area has to offer, and it was perfect. The house had all we needed, was quiet and peaceful, and helped us celebrate number 42. My favorite spot was the breezy side yard where we sipped champagne and just relaxed. Koko and her cottage are awesome.

    We are a retired couple from Washington state and were looking for a rental place to spend one month in sunny Sonoma. Very fortunately we found Koko’s Cottage on the web, liked it very much from the description, the pictures, and the reviews. We had high expectations, which were surpassed when we arrived and met Janet, the owner. She is so caring and welcoming, and it was immediately obvious to us, that the cottage is a labor of love for her. She showed us around, explained everything, gave us tips and instructions to follow. She is a wonderful, kind hearted person who right away made us feel at home in her beautiful cottage. The cottage is immaculate, very comfortable and beautifully furnished and decorated.The kitchen is generously stocked. Everything works well, the queen beds are great with comfortable mattress and pillows. The garden is delightful and inviting with sitting areas under a big oak tree and water feature adding to the ambiance.The neighborhood is nice and quiet, the location is great, nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, yet only a few minutes drive from the vibrant activity of the square; really the best of both worlds. This is exactly what we had been looking for.

    The place was cute. Well decorated and stocked well. It was clean as well and had a convenient location. There were a few small problems that turned my friends and I off. Three of us formally rented the place and a fourth slept over on our last night there. Her stay was not anticipated but she made a long trip to see us and we didn't see the harm in having her stay over one night. As simple as this sounds, it turned out to be an unnecessarily big ordeal. The driveway itself only has room for one car. When our friend parked across the street, one set of neighbors got upset about her parking on "their" self proclaimed spot on the public street. When she moved the car and parked in front of the cottage , another set of neighbors began complaining. No one explained the parking rules and no one was willing to explain when we asked for clarification (including the owner). The street is narrow so parking is limited. The owner was anything but helpful and as a matter of fact also had a bit of an attitude about both the parking and our friend spending the one night over. The owner although she had met my friends and I a few days before and had spoken with me several times by phone and email, snappishly said she hadnt met myself and one of the other girls (whom she did meet) on the day we were leaving. I understand her wanting notice that a 4th person spent the last night over and that was our mistake, but there no need for an attitude. There was also a worm problem. Two disgusting encounters with 2 worms while staying there. In all fairness, they could've been transported indoors by wind or something. One of the bathrooms has a glass door so there is absolutely no privacy...and the toilet bowl is visible for everyone in the adjacent bedroom to see. While this place was nice overall, the people made the experience unpleasant. We felt somewhat unwelcome and as though we were being nuisances. We won't be returning to this cottage next year. That's too bad because it really is quaint. Too bad the hassles that come with it are a turn off, ESP considering that it isn't exactly cheap to stay there.

While the rental documents explain the parking situation, I know not everyone reads it nor has unanticipated guests. I'll be making sure to remind future visitors about the neighborhood-like qualities and to remind folks to inform me of all guests and parking needs in advance, so I can continue to provide a great experience, part of which are the lovely neighbors! One small clarification for future guests, both bedrooms and bathrooms are entirely private and separate from one another. A cottage located in a country setting, as is mine is subject to an occasional visit from Mother Nature's Garden Creatures. Thank you again for your feedback. Janet Cocoles

    Such a lovely cottage to spend four days celebrating and touring the surrounding wine country. The home is beautiful and so inviting; clean and well equipped. The information on the website is very accurate. The owner has made the cottage very comfortable and welcoming, from the beautiful décor to the wine, cheese, and crackers left for us to enjoy. The bed linens were soft and cozy; some of the best we had ever slept in. We enjoyed mornings and evenings in the living room by the fire, a cozy atmosphere. We had an early flight into California on Saturday and the owner was very accommodating with allowing us to check it a little early. She was very helpful when it came to answering our questions and providing information to make our stay the most it could be in four short days. She was quick to respond when we called on her. We were sorry to leave and look forward to visiting the wine country again and would definitely choose to stay at Koko's Cottage. We are telling all our friends about this little jewel!

    Just recently went to Sonoma/Napa for my 30th bday with my 3 closest friends. We arrived to find an idyllic little cottage, with shutters open, fresh flowers in every room, wine set out for us and a handwritten letter from Janet, welcoming us. We really enjoyed the cottage. It was immaculately clean and fresh with sun peeking through the windows. The kitchen was updated and had everything we needed, as did the rest of the house with throw blankets, linens - basically anything you could need. The cascade shower head in the master also was great. It was nice to have two bathrooms. The outdoor space was beautiful. We sat outside and enjoyed a nice glass of wine in the sun surrounded by plants and flowers. We were also welcomed with a glass of wine and some excellent cheese. My friends really raved about that Havarti :) Wonderful place. I'd definitely stay again.

    I recently stayed at Koko's Cottage and was extremely pleased with my experience. The house and yard are very comfortable, and are immaculately neat and clean. Janet, the owner, left us some wine and cheese on arrival, along with balloons for my girlfriend, who was celebrating a birthday. Janet also provided us with some great travel information. The house is located within walking distance of a small store, coffee shop and some eateries, and within a short drive to everything else in Sonoma. I had a wonderful experience at Koko's and around Sonomoa, and really hated to leave. When I go back, I plan to stay at Koko's again.

    When we started researching and planning our girls getaway trip to Napa, we decided to check out HomeAway. Koko's Cottage showed up on our first search and we thought it would be the perfect place. It was even better than we imagined! Janet was friendly and responsive, both before our trip and during our stay. We loved the attention to details like the fresh flowers and the decor. The cottage was well-appointed and we had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the wine and other treats Janet left for us. The cottage was the perfect location for our days of touring and tasting in both Napa and Sonoma. It is conveniently located with several restaurants nearby and a short drive to the Sonoma downtown/square that has lots of restaurants and shops. We enjoyed having such a cozy and comfortable place to call home during our trip. We were sad to leave our little cottage in wine country. We will definitely return!

    A CLASSY COTTAGE !!! When my husband opened the front door to the cottage we were elated to feel the warmth awaiting us. The fireplace was glowing , the heater on and music was playing in the background. There were fresh flowers in the rooms and Janet had even remembered that it was our Anniversary and left us a wonderful bottle of Champagne .We then discovered the cheese and cracker platter. Wow! What a treat. Our stay in Sonoma was only four days and nights but we managed to get around to nearly every winery and restaurant that we intended to visit. We hired California Wine Tours one day and had a wonderful time. The cottage is exactly what we had hoped for. It is very clean and beautifully detailed . The beds were very comfortable. The weather was chilly and kept us in doors so we were unable to spend time enjoying the darling patio. We are giving this cottage 5 stars. I would say "Janet, You are" SPOT ON" as an innkeeper.     Thank you so much for letting us create such wonderful memories in this beautiful place. We are very grateful for the "spur of the moment" reservation.You really have thought of everything for comfort! We toured the Sonoma and Napa Valley and made our way to Bodega Bay as you suggested. It was a beautiful drive and a marvelous experience. We are sad to leave Sonoma and this darling cottage and wished we had booked a longer stay. We will definitely return next year.

    This was the best last minute decision we've ever made. We loved the cottage. After visiting Sonoma from the Silicon Valley we were sure we needed another two days to take in all there is to see. One of the tasting rooms in the Sonoma Square gave us a brochure of Koko's Cottage. We called Janet to see if she had a vacancy and we were fortunate to check in one hour later. The cottage is adorable. It is beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and well furnished. The beds were wonderful. We had everything we needed. We were surprised to find so many conveniences awaiting us, like coffee, tea, even a nice bottle of wine and cheese and crackers. We decided we wanted massages and Janet arranged for a Massage Therapist to visit the house with table and all and we were in Heaven! What more could we ask for? We highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to relax and enjoy Sonoma. Thank you Janet! Steph & Carley

    Prior to arriving, Janet was extremely helpful in providing limo service and restaurant suggestions. The home is in great condition and everything you could possibly need was provided. She added several special touches to our arrival such as fresh flowers, cheese & crackers and a bottle of wine. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and is a short ride to the square. We used Sonoma Taxi and it was $12 to downtown Sonoma which was very convenient for a safe option after wine tastings! I was thoroughly pleased with our choice and would definitely return!

    Janet made our visit so very special -- we had company from Holland and needed a small place for 4 of us to stay .... I had mentioned it to Janet and she had dutch cookies and tulips upon our arrival - we thought that was so wonderful and thoughtful. The cottage was even better than the pictures showed and very clean -- we loved it. Wish we could have stayed longer.Thank you Janet for your very welcoming hospitality.     WOW! Was the first thing that we thought when we stepped into this rental. It is well decorated and comfortable to boot. Central location for wine tasting and exploring this part of the world. The outside space was quiet and serene. Janet was an excellent host, checking to make sure that we had every thing that we needed. The welcome wine and cheese was very thoughtful and appreciated. We will definitely be back to this piece of paradise!

    What a wonderful Surprise awaited us when we checked into Koko's Cottage. The pictures on vrbo are lovely but the cottage is absolutely much more ADORABLE when you are actually there. It is also one of the cleanest properties we have stayed in. The beds are extremely comfortable and well furnished with all the soft,warm bedding you would expect. We were four adults from Michigan looking for a restful getaway. We experienced that and more Janet provides all the comforts to fill your needs. We slept late and toured around the Wine Country during the days and early evenings and knew that when we came back to the cottage it would be warm ,comfy and quiet. The neighborhood is perfect and the neighbors are friendly. Janet left a great bottle of wine along with a cheese and cracker platter for us that was truly appreciated. We sat in the living room in front of the cozy fireplace, sipping wine and nibbling on cheese while we planned our Wine Country excursions. We had a marvelous time in Sonoma and at Koko's Cottage. We will return for another stay, Thats A Promise !

    We arrived Christmas afternoon to an adorable cottage with such personality in the decor! Cheese and crackers with wine awaited us. Christmas decorations had been placed thru out with a little tree to complete the Christmas holidays, very festive! Janet had graciously offered to make us dinner reservations prior to our arrival so we would not go hungry! Janet kept in touch after we arrived to make sure all was well, she offered many ideas to us to help enjoy our stay in Sonoma. The cottage is well located and within walking distance to town. We highly recommend this property for your stay you won't be sorry! Enjoy:) The cottage was extremely clean, that is very important to us! Very comfortable beds, we both have bad backs

    A little late in posting, however I realized that in the cold of February I am still enjoying our stay at Koko's cottage during our Thanksgiving wine country weekend. First of all Janet is a wonderful off site hostess. She provided details of where to find restaurants serving T-day dinners among other questions. She was immediately available with a small mishap at the cottage. It is obvious that she restored the cottage lovingly and with lots of wonderful detail. As a previous poster says the pictures don't convey the "feel" of the cottage. The beds are really comfy and four of us settled in to the living room for reading one evening. The neighborhood is quiet and nice for walking. There is a fabulous Mexican restaurant which also serves Blue Bottle Coffee a few blocks away. Boyes Hot Springs is an easy drive both to the wineries and into Sonoma Square. We opted for the wineries:-) VJB winery opened last July and is growing Italian varietals, very nice to visit. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

    Janet, We had such a wonderful time in your cottage and in Sonoma. It was like walking into a spa with all the details like the music the wine the snacks and the bedding was so comfortable! Everything was immaculate. I dont think we ever want to stay in a hotel again. We definitely would choose your place without a second thought. You did a wonderful job on your cottage and we Thank You for everything.

    I can't begin to say enough good things about Koko's Cottage and Janet. We had the opportunity to get away from MN (right as the weather was turning cold) to come visit Wine Country. As we were traveling with another couple, we knew we wanted to stay someplace where we could stretch out and relax. The home was everything we hoped for and more! From the gorgeous furnishings to the homey touches (a snack, wine and fresh flowers waiting for us upon arrival) to the amazingly comfortable beds, it was downright perfect! Our travel partners were also impressed with the property and thrilled with my choice. Janet does not overlook any details, ensuring that your stay in Sonoma will be perfect. Our only regret was that we weren't able to stay longer! We would have loved more time to enjoy the outdoor patio, cook meals in the well appointed gourmet kitchen and just generally be lazy. As we said when we left, next time we'll know better and reserve a whole week! If you are looking for a rental in the area, do yourself a favor and book Koko's Cottage. It is truly a wonderful experience and an awesome place to stay!

    The home is better than it is described and impeccably clean. The bedrooms and baths look newly redone, in fact the house seems to be constantly updated and well appointed. There are three flat screen TVs and music throughout if you choose. The music was on when we arrived...so welcoming. The back area is charming, with a nice fountain and privacy. It is a quiet neighborhood with pleasant neighbors and a very short drive into town. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year!     As my son noted just after we arrived - "It looks just like I expected from the photos online." The cottage is in a very quiet neighborhood, with friendly people across the street. The yard and patio are landscaped to feel very private and relaxing. Everything that I hoped to find (and more!) were supplied, fresh, clean and looking like new.The kitchen was very functional and had everything we needed. It is so relaxing that we opted to stay in for one of the evenings, just to enjoy the cottage. The fireplace was a welcomed benefit on a chilly evening. I have already recommended the cottage to friends and family and will certainly make it a point to stay there if I'm back in Sonoma. Would highly recommend eating at Girl with a Fig restaurant, we had lunch there and very much enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I also enjoyed the parks and shops in town, the food items at Sonoma's Best were perfect for our picnic at Sonoma-Cutrer (after tasting and purchasing a bottle of wine, of course!).

    We recently stayed six nights at Koko Cottage. The cottage was everything and more the listing said it would be! It was clean and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the wine and snacks that was left for us. It was also great to be able to make coffee in the mornings. The owner also suggested a company for us to take a wine tour with and gave us other suggestions of things to do and places to eat. We really enjoyed the patio - ate several meals out there and enjoyed good wine. If you are planning a trip to wine country you can not go wrong renting this cottage! VRBO is the only way to go.     Janet we enjoyed your cottage and meeting you. Your house was clean and well maintained, beds were very comfortable and the patio was a great place to relax and grill. The house was really cute.     When my husband invited his parents to come to Wine Country with us, instead of getting two hotel rooms, I decided to book Koko's Cottage. Having already seen the pictures of the rental online, I knew what to expect. But upon arrival, my in-laws and my husband were thrilled with the cottage. It was tastefully decorated and very clean. Unlike a hotel, all of the details and more were provided: extra towels, soaps, and some welcome snacks and libations. Though we did not use the patio, it was lovely and inviting. Driving around Sonoma and Napa, we also found that the cottage is conveniently located. Thank you, Janet! We would definitely recommend your place to our friends and family, and look forward to staying there again soon.

    I can't begin to express my delight when my friend and I walked in the front door of the cottage! It is so comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Janet had wine and cheese for us to eat upon our arrival. So many wonderful amenities to even mention! I was in Sonoma for my son's wedding at the Viansa Winery so it was very important to have a nice place to stay in a central location. My friend and I were ready to make an offer on the property so we could move in permanently! I will go back to Sonoma soon and will definitely stay at KoKo's cottage. It was wonderful.     We went to Sonoma for the Indy Car Race and had an excellent time visiting wineries and the race was incredible. When we checked in we were greeted with a wonderful bottle of wine, fruit/cheese and cracker platter. The wine was delicious and the home was gorgeous and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the beautifully landscaped patio either eating breakfast, dinner or just relaxing with a glass of wine and visiting about our day. We especially enjoyed the squirrell that would drop half eaten nuts on us. I guess he thought it was funny and it was. Janet didn't miss any details. The home is very comfortable, near everything and you won't be dissappointed. Thanks for a wonderful stay and hope to see you again next year for Race Day!

    We had the most wonderful experience in renting this house and with the owner. The owner, Janet went out of her way the entire time to make sure our family was comfortable - especially since we have a 1 year old son. She actually purchased a high-chair for the house, and was so amazing from start to finish! The house is perfect. Very clean and nice - and central to Sonoma. The outdoor space was very nice and relaxing, and Janet made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend this to anyone I know, and will definitely be staying there again if we are ever back in Sonoma!

    Our stay at Koko's cottage was absolutely wonderful. The cottage is beautifully set up: the perfect size, with big living spaces, wonderful bedrooms, comfortable beds and a lovely outdoor entertaining area. We loved every minute of our time in the cottage, and look forward to going back. Janet took care of the smallest of details. She was so accommodating to our needs, left us special treats, and obviously takes very special care of this home. It was perfect!!!     What a treat. This lil hidden gem was all we needed. We are 3 High school girlfriends meet to enjoy a mommy vacation. Perfectly located close to Sonoma plaza and equally close to the cute lil town Glen Ellen(fantastic wineries). Janet is a perfect host and welcomed us in style and class. She loves her home and it shows. We enjoyed the peaceful, tranquility of the side yard everyday, couldn't ask for anything more. Except a personal chef!!! Truly a treat and we can't wait to return next year for a second round.

    KoKo's was a great home to rent! It's very clean, well thought out, extremely comfortable, and very up to date. Every corner of it showed much attention to detail which ensures that guests enjoy it - as we did! It's not near the square but it's a easy (3-5 min) car ride or very "bikeable for those who prefer. Another highlight isn't the home itself - it's Janet who very dedicatedly works w/ you to ensure a smooth transition into & out of the home. It was probably easier than checking into & out of a hotel! She also goes above & beyond leaving wine and snacks for the guests - thanks Janet! Highly recommended!!

    We had such a wonderful Mother/Daughter weekend in your adorable cottage. Thank you for helping to make our stay memorable. We had everything we needed in the home and it felt just as comfortable as our own home. Your yard is beautiful and the neighborhood so quiet and calming. When we awoke on our last day we saw a family of Deer strolling up the street. How charming ! We are definitely coming back!

    Thank you so much for the relaxing and wonderful great stay. We enjoyed every aspect of this cozy cottage for our long weekend stay. Sparkling clean and very well appointed. Very light and bright. The kitchen is well stocked and great for staying in to cook up the purchases from the farmers market! We loved the location, easy to get around. Just what we needed to recharge. One of the nicest property's we have stayed at in Sonoma and the Napa Valley. Can't wait for our next visit back!
