Located amongst the beautiful rolling hills of Southwestern North Carolina, the Lodge sits on a private, secluded two and a half acre mountaintop with a 40-mile view. From the lodge, it is a beautiful two hour drive through the mountains to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, and a beautiful two hour drive along the Ocoee River through the Ocoee Gorge to Ruby Falls and Rock City in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Lodge has two floors, upper and lower. It is built on a slope, with a driveway going to each level, car parking on each level, and access in and out of the house on each level. There is a garage on the lower level. On the upper floor of the Lodge are the living room area, a fireplace sitting area, the kitchen, the pantry, the dining area, and the master bedroom with full master bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed, and the living area has a queen size futon. There is also a powder room with sink and toilet off of the living area on this floor. On the lower floor are the second bedroom, the large den that serves as a third bedroom, and another full bathroom. There are two twin beds in the second bedroom and two queen size futons in the den. The Lodge has central heat and air conditioning, phone, Direct TV Satellite Television with VCR in both the living room and the den, DVD player and TIVO in the living room, extensive library of VHS tapes and DVD’s, fully equipped kitchen, all towels and linens included, washer and dryer, and wrap-around decks (half of which are screened). It is beautifully decorated, and has cherry floors, large windows, a real brick fireplace, and a unique country kitchen. It sleeps six plus four. There is a visitor information book at the lodge with information about nearby activities, which include golf (there are many courses in the area, including a PGA rated course twenty minutes from The Lodge), whitewater rafting, boating, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, antiquing, and picnicking. Hayesville is a farming community with a Saturday morning market on the town square. |
