This property was a great way to spend a weekend for our friends 40th birthday party! There was lots of space for everyone, the house was very clean, the kitchen and bar were well stocked with supplies. The house itself is very beautiful and would definitely recommend it for a group getaway!Did you find this review helpful? Our recent stay in this amazing log home was everything we hoped for. Having traveled nearly 2000 miles to get to Mission, we were looking for some relaxation with local family that came to visit and stay with us. The highlight of our stay was an Easter celebration with over 20 of our BC family and friends! The property was more than comfortable for a group that size, yet warm and cozy during those quieter times when 4 or 5 of us enjoyed a visit in the sitting room or downstairs by the wood fire. We were close enough to Mission and the out-lying Vancouver area to shop, enjoy a day at White Rock Beach, and sturgeon fishing the Fraser River; yet when we returned to the property from our daytrips we felt secluded and relaxed in this beautiful mountainside place. Rob the owner was thorough and accomodating to our needs. Definitely will rent again on our next visit to BC.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Everyone in my big group of 20 had a great time at the cabin! Thank you Rob for being there to show us around the house and accommodating us! The ping-pong table, pool table, bar, and hot tub made our stay anything but boring! We didn't have any troubles with sleeping arrangements even with our large group since there was so much extra bedding available! We are definitely planning on returning sometime in the summer!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The first thing to mention that these pictures don't do the property justice! Smell o vision would be wonderful, the house smells of fresh cut wood and the outdoors have a clean cedar fragrance. Along with a nice mist from the cool rain forest and a relaxing hot tub, we were in our glory. Our host was very accommodating and friendly and we do thank him for opening up such a wonderful spacious home to us. There was plenty of room for all 12. My husband and I took the king bedroom with the balgony and we were lucky enough to have one clear night to view the stars in utter darkness. No city lights, just nature. My sister was fortunate to get the huge master turret bedroom with the soaker tub. Next time around I think we'll trade rooms. Right sis? The younger people enjoyed the basement bedrooms as they were awake most of the night playing pool and bartender behind the beautiful custom bar.We didn't hear a thing ;-) from our rooms two floors up. Located about 5 miles away is The Hayward damn/river where the salmon are spawning. We saw many fishermen and wished we had brought our rods. We resorted to a walk on a nearby Hayward public trail. It was a bit wet this time of year so bring proper footwear. I do recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet tranquil spot,Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Had a fantastic weekend with some friends in this beautiful home on a wonderful property in Mission. The owner made us feel very welcome both on check-in and check-out, and we had a great time playing pool and ping-pong, and of course relaxing in the hot tub. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Our stay at this beautiful log house was a lovely setting for our family Thanksgiving get-together. The house was large and roomy for the nine of us but still comfy cosy. A very thoughtfully laid out house. The hot tub, pool table and badminton kept things going all weekend. Very relaxing and can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family had a very enjoyable visit to the Lodge. The weather during our visit was wonderful and we looked forward to a relaxing evening after our daily excursions in the Mission area. We had a great time playing a game of hide and seek while videotaping so we could show our friends and family just how big the lodge is. The photos on the website don't do it justice! Everything was very well kept and the 5 bathrooms were immaculate. The outside space is beautiful and the setting amidst the towering trees is awe-inspiring. Rob was very welcoming and was there to meet us and give instructions for all the electronics etc. and share some maps of the area. We enjoyed excursions to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain, Harrison Hot Springs and a drive up the coast to Whistler. Our last evening we had a wonderful dinner at The Mission Springs restaurant in Mission. Our B.C relatives joined us at the Lodge for a bar-b-que one evening and said they will recommend it as a home-away-from-home for other family members who come to visit. Only one concern was raised by the younger generation that there is not internet available at this time. We will definitely visit again when in B.C.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Dear Joan and Gary, Thank you for leaving the house in such fine condition, you'd hardly know anyone was here! I'm sorry I didn't clairify there is no free WiFi at this point, but we are within excellant cellular range. Before your next visit check your data plan for your internet service, as we do have internet at this location. I'm glad there was enough activities for the entire family. Robert

We spent the weekend in Rob's spacious log cabin home, It was fun and relaxing. Every single person in the group had something to do and be busy with. There were board games, billiard, volleyball, and badminton for the young ones and overall the hot tub by the pond was a bestseller. But just lounging and sleeping in the country home and enjoying the peace and quite of the surroundings is always an enjoyable pleasure especially with the entire family around to spend it with.....Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

The bedrooms are wonderfully laid out, as is the entire house. It is very cozy and homey, yet really open and beautifully constructed. Our group was at peak 19 people and it was able to accommodate for everyone, however it was on the large side for this house. The hot tub next to the Koi pond was a favorite for almost everyone. The yard was perfect for everyone to hang out together and play badminton and volleyball. The porch was also a great size, and the ivy that lined the outside was gorgeous. My only complaint is that I did not spend more of my stay actually at the house. It is such a peaceful, retreat-like place that I would love to stay at again and again. This lodge definitely has a special place in my heart.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My friends and I spent a lovely long weekend in Robert's home. Even in the rain this property is absolutely stunning. Nestled in cedar trees, a lovely yard, and beautiful ivy. The hot tub overlooked a coy fish pond. The pool table was put to good use and the sleeps were cozy. The best part of the weekend was Robert's hospitality. He showed us around his home and answered any questions we had. Thank you so much Robert for opening your beautiful home to my friends and I.
