This place was great. It had everything we needed and then some . From the hot tub to the electric boat to the fishing gear to very comfortable beds , I could go on and on. The only issues we had was the lack of tv reception. ( I wanted to watch monday nigt football ) and it could use a couple lamps in the den an bedrooms. The lake was clean, the location was perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be close to the city without being in the city and loving the lake life. The mornings where especially nice with the fog breaking over the lake and the sun hitting the water, and the fish biting. On my next trip to Seattle, Lake McDonald will be my first call!!!

We met our daughter , son in law and family @ Gina's place. We were only staying for two nights , arriving from Seattle via our home on Vancouver Island. We arrived before the 'kids" and were more than pleasantly surprised. House is nicely decorated and well equipped. With all the outdoor space no one ever felt crowded or in another's way. The photos on thsi site do not do the place justice ! The lake is quiet ; the neighbours friendly and helpful ( needed to know where we could get groceries :) ). Would recommend this to everyone we know. One suggestion: have a binder with a list of directions to grocery stores; restaurants; wineries; shopping etc that are nearby.

Great place to stay and get outdoors or make the most of a rainy day...
We stayed for a week here in the summer. We're very picky about houses, especially the neighborhoods, peace & quiet, and having a good owner. This property was great on all 3 counts. I looked at lots of properties in the area and this one was a little less convenient to downtown Seattle but more than made up for it by being on a quiet lake and having some great amenities. Loved the dock, the hot tub, and cooking out on the deck. The description of the property was accurate. The photos accurately reflect the appearance and amenities. Kitchen and living room area was beautiful & perfect for the socializing we did while there. Beds and linens were top notch. The bathrooms aren't depicted, but the upstairs one has an excellent shower & plenty of space to spread out. The downstairs one is kind of dark and small, but fine for a child/teen. The house does not have A/C, but it’s not needed. The location is up in the hills heavily shaded, and our first day it was summer by local standards (83 degrees day, 60 at night) and we simply opened up windows and everything was good. We appreciated all the beautiful plantings, flowers, and landscaping, and the lake is clean and swimmable. We also appreciated the details put into having everything ready. The BBQ grill was ready to go, and even had an extra tank. The batteries for the boat were on a charger and ready to go—we didn’t use it but still it was thoughtful. There were supplies everywhere, and we simply replaced what we used. Everything worked as advertised: the appliances, internet, TV, etc. The owner was helpful, communicative, and answered all questions. Great to work with. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and out on the edge of the ‘burbs. It’s a 30 minute drive to downtown Seattle, or 45 minutes or so by bus. We had family in Seattle so on several occasions we travelled back and forth. If your main interest is downtown and you plan to spend most of your time there, you might want to take that into consideration. We found ourselves going to Issaquah a lot, for the bus terminal, good shops and brewpub, fun things to see and do, live theater, endless trails, and it's just a very cool place. That was a 15 min drive over some winding roads. Also, the listing accurately represents the many great outdoor things to do in the vicinity. Our only problem was not having enough time for everything we wanted to do. We would recommend this property to a friend or relative, and would stay again.
