We stayed in this condo for 2 weeks, Dave the owner was very accomodating, providing us with baby gates (we have 2 toddlers) and assistance whenever we requested. Location was fantastic, close to everything (Belmont park, restaurants, etc.) and right in the beach. The condo is spacious and nicely decorated and we could see the fireworks from Sea World from our back balcony. Looking forward to our next vacation to Mission Beach.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Positive: The location is everything. thats it. Negatives: The place is well worn, more of a college party pad. The paint is chipped on almost everywall. No room was clean or without floor stains, doors and door ways were all scuffed up, countertops all needed wiped and dishes were dirty. - Fridge had a rag stuffed in ice unit and duct tape over the exterior door controls. - TVs some with controllers, others without. - No soap or toilet paper in bathrooms - light fixture broken in one room, string pulled out of fan...no way to control speed. - cabinet door was off hinges. I re-hung the door. very important: I contacted owner..email/text.....no feed back at all. - we photographed issues, but no real way to post here. I am sure there are good values on the beach, this is probably not the best for the price. We travel globally and often rent condos at least stateside. This looked like a fun option for Comic Con. Seems we should have done more research. It seriously needs a good refreshing make over and just general upkeep.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 12/12

The location of this property is great--right on beach, walk to roller coaster, bike on boardwalk. 10 minutes to Sea World, 15 to airport, close to zoo and downtown.Watch the sunset and the dolphins in the surf right from the deck. Mission Beach is likely a 20-something hangout in summer--we were there in March. Plenty of room for our family of 6 with three bedrooms. Plenty of towels, linens. well-stocked kitchen with new appliances. Three TVs with cable (though it stopped working in 2 rooms half-way thru trip). Wireless internet and washer and dryer were nice extras. Had boogie boards and beach chairs and shovels and pails for the beach in the 2 car garage. The property was clean, but did have some "lived in" aspects like a few light bulbs burned out and some wear and tear on furniture. Could have used a really good top to bottom cleaning to get the last of the dust out, but it was generally pretty clean.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.
