Oceanfront 2 bedroom, 2 bath, newly remodeled 2nd floor condo conveniently located on the boardwalk in the south end of the resort area. Enjoy the amenities which include: an elevator, indoor heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, rooftop sun deck, 24-hour security, locked storage for bikes & luggage racks and outside shower. Wi-Fi throughout the building and the condo. Coin-operated laundry room on each floor.
Walk to Rudee Inlet to go deep sea fishing, parasailing, jet skiing or just fish from the shore. Enjoy fine dining at nearby restaurants and outdoor cafes.
Floor Plan: All rooms have ocean views! Living and dining room with oceanfront balcony, flat screen TV and DVD player. Fully equipped galley kitchen including built-in microwave and breakfast bar. Bedrooms with flat screen TV's are located on each side of the living area. Master bedroom with full bath and full public bath by 2nd bedroom. 2nd bedroom has a Playstation 2.
Parking: One assigned parking space in the parking garage. Clearance for garage is 6 feet. Additional parking is $100 per week, per vehicle, which is across the street from the condo.
Tenant to supply their own linens or rent them from a local company.

My husband and I, along with our 16 month old, rented this unit for our vacation from 8/25/12-9/1/12. Upon check-in, we were told that the tub in one bathroom was leaking and had just been repaired so we could not use the tub/shower for 24 hours upon check-in. We were also told that the renters who checked out prior to us were having problems locking the front door the entire time of their stay so a locksmith had been called and would arrive within an hour of our check-in. We were anxious to get out onto the boardwalk after a 12+ hour drive but agreed to remain in the unit until the locksmith came. We waited over two hours and then another half-hour for the locksmith to examine the lock, only to tell us that it was very old and he had to show us a way to hold the door/lock to get the unit to lock (in talking with renters in other units, it appears that we were the only ones we could find who were given actual keys as opposed to an electronic swipe card to enter/exit our unit, so the lock on the door was clearly in need of updating). We walked around the unit and one of the first places I checked for cleanliness were the bathrooms. The master bathtub had sand in it and it looked like someone had literally just stepped out of the shower. The corners of the tub/shower were moldy/dirty and the floor had some hair and dirt on it that looked like it had just been brushed into the corners. The other bathroom was similar. We were determined not to let our initial take on the unit deter our excitement about the vacation. When the nights came, however, it sounded like there were nests of crickets under appliances in the kitchen area, in the walls, etc. We attempted to spray some insect spray but since we couldn't actually see the crickets, we were unsuccessful in our attempts to get rid of them. On the final evening of our stay, I did manage to see a very, very large cricket on the floor in the middle of the bedroom so I was able to get rid of that one, but the loud sound of the crickets continued that night, so it appears that there is some type of infestation in the unit that could probably easily be taken care of. Bottom line is that the condition of this unit is poor and not well maintained at all. Also, we wish that we knew prior to renting this unit that on the weekends, there are concerts right outside of the unit on the beach that are very, very loud until about 11pm each night on the weekends. Not ideal for families with children.

Manager response: I am taken aback by this review since this is the first time I am being notified about their concerns with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the crickets. Had I been aware of the concerns, I could have resolved them in a timely manner. The previous renters that checked out that morning informed us about the lock and the one bathtub that was leaking. I was able to get a plumber to the property immediately to fix the leak; however, the caulking required 24 hours to dry. The locksmith explained that he had a few scheduled appointments ahead of us and would get there as soon as possible. The owners were given an option, earlier this year, to switch to the electronic swipe cards, and there are several units that have not had them installed. This oceanfront condo, on the second floor, was updated 2 years ago with new carpet, paint, granite countertops, kitchen cabinets and Lazy Boy living room furniture. All of which is still in good condition. Regarding the concerts on the Boardwalk - this is an oceanfront unit and is advertised as being on the Boardwalk; which has entertainment for all. My goal is to resolve any issues as soon as possible to insure my guests enjoy their vacation.
