Relax and luxuriate in this beautiful desert get-away in historic and mid-century modern Racquet Club Estates. A 6-person spa was added for your ultimate pleasure.
This 1,750 square foot historic 'Alexander' home has been expanded from its original 1959 (1,220 sq/ft) size and offers a large flowing master suite with a cozy reading nook, large walk-thru closet, private bath, and doors to different outdoor living spaces.
The living room boasts 10 foot ceilings with upper windows gazing up to the majestic peaks of San Jacinto. A large glass dining table offers comfortable seating for eight. You'll agree that this great-room expansion is truly 'great'!

You can also retreat to the master bedroom which boasts its own 32' flatscreen with cable box (with all premium channels) in a rich armoire. The other two bedrooms also have 32' and 22' LCD TVs with cable for your entertainment pleasure.

If you're interested in staying in a historic part of Palm Springs, in the original Racquet Club Estates properties, then this is it! The house is IKEA perfect with color and comfort and cleaniliness. The yard is private, tree filled, and aside from the occasional North desert wind pattern it's a dream to cook & relax in. 60" TV w/cable, Internet, great kitchen appliances, Tempurpedic mattress covers, nice linens. The owner couldn't be more helpful, always concerned that every detail is up to your standards. Our English Cream Golden Retriever gave the "Paw" stamp of approval as well. You'll be tempted to come back so be prepared!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

After 7 previous vacation rentals this was by far the best to date. The house had everything we could want and more. It was clean, organized and well stocked. Pool was gorgeous and the hot tub was perfect - the kids 4 and 6 - would hop between the two all day and went to bed all prune skinned! This was our first trip to Palm Springs and we loved the heat and soaked up the sun barely leaving the house. When we did venture out we hit the market, the living desert (go early and rent a wagon for little kids - HOT) and a casino for Easter brunch. We will return and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Mark is extremely organized and quick to respond to any question. This is a well run vacation rental. The kids loved playing around the fruit trees and picking lemons for lemonade (big novelty for us Canucks). The fireplace table was so fun in the evening and roasting marshmallows just topped off a perfect day - must get one of these tables for back home! Thank you for the most relaxing holiday to date!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Renting this house was a great experience from start to finish. Mark was responsive and friendly from the moment I sent my first inquiry via VRBO, and throughout the process, the information he provided was thorough, easy to understand, and accurate. We loved the house. Our family stayed here for a short weekend trip. The house is just as described in the listing, if not better. The backyard is huge - a great place to enjoy a day out by the pool, fire up the bbq, and just relax. Inside, everything was spotless and impeccably maintained. The location couldn't be better. It's just a short drive to downtown Palm Springs, some great restaurants, and the Spa Casino.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

What an amazing week we just had in Palm Springs with our daughter and family in this beautiful vacation home. Our grandchildren spent endless hours in the pool punctuated by visits to the hot tub, and were thrilled to be able to pick fresh lemons and grapefruit from backyard trees. The house was spotless, the beds were super-comfy, and the kitchen had every gadget and appliance you would ever need. (A Keurig coffee machine is now at the top of our wish list!) It was conveniently located, close to the airport, good restaurants, and other activities. We enjoyed a wonderful spring break there.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We have just returned home after spending a wonderful week in Palm Springs. There were four adults and two children in our group and Mark's house suited us perfectly. The kitchen was extremely well outfitted, which made it quite easy to eat in when we wanted to. The house was exactly as described on VRBO and it is very centrally located. This made day trips to Joshua Tree National Park, Indian Canyon and up the tram very accessible. I would highly recommend all of those areas for hiking. Mark was great through the entire process, from booking to checking in, to any questions we had during our stay. Waking up each morning in an ultra comfortable bed listening to the sounds of birds could not be beat. Thank you Mark for a fantastic week!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a place that makes you want to extend your stay in Palm Springs. Mark has anticipated your every need to make you feel instantly comfortable and spoiled all at once. The home is filled with light and has many intangibles designed around simple pleasures like an open flow kitchen with a center island and bar stools; big comfy chairs to cozy up with a good book; or perfect nooks throughout for conversations with good friends - which not every home in Palm Springs has. You can BBQ, swim, jacuzzi, cook, entertain - or just chill out and watch on one of the many big screen TV's. WifI is excellent and hassle-free. You are around the corner from a beautiful park and a short drive to the best bars and restaurants in the city. All the appliances are top notch - as are the dishes, silverware, towels - all the little touches that no one talks about but can make or break a vacation have been thought about and provided. A wonderful place to stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This place is great! My wife and I brought our dog and we couldn't have been more pleased. Other than my early-morning round of golf and a trip to the grocery store, there wasn't a single reason to leave. The kitchen and outdoor grilling area were completely outfitted with everything that you need to cook any meal. The bedrooms are very nice with comfortable beds and each have their own charm. The living room is open and bright with a huge flatscreen TV, blu-ray player and AppleTV with apps that allow you to watch Netflix and listen to Pandora thru the surround sound system. Definitely nice for playing some background music while cooking or reading. Overall AMAZING! Thank you Mark!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Adam. I appreciate your feedback. I look forward to your next visit! Mark

About the owner: I created this vacation house to be everything that I would want when I am on vacation: great outdoor livin' and grillin', cozy great room, and a modern entertainment center for movie nights or for just being lazy in the afternoon. I looked at a lot of properties before selecting this one. I was sold on Racquet Club Estates because it is an amazing neighborhood. The houses are special, and so are the neighbors. The nights are dark and quiet and the outline of the San Jacinto mountains against dusk sky is just beautiful. Watching the last tram inch down the mountain side is a regular reminder of the adventures that await you each day in Coachella Valley. Another benefit of Racquet Club Estates is that is located the 2nd major intersection after coming into town. After a long drive to the desert, its great that the minute you hit town, you're there! And downtown is just another couple of miles further down the road. Dining and shopping could hardly be more convenient.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Freshly painted, newly furnished, and sparking clean, this great vacation property also offers you a huge backyard for entertaining. You love the large grassy area shaded by a wonderful tree. Talk about relaxing: just pull a chair out under the tree and gaze at the mountains while enjoying the cool shade mixed with a warm breeze. The patio area is made of pavers, which is so much more comfortable and inviting than cement. The huge saltwater pool is deep and cool for those hot summer days. An added bonus is that the pool is shaded in the late afternoon.
When the mid-day sun is too hot for you, head inside where interior is cozy and open. While the Racquet Club Estates properties were built with 1.225 sq/ft, my property has been expanded to about 1,750 sq/ft. The master bedroom is large and provides a great escape from the summer sun. Sit in the reading nook and mediate while looking at the mountains, reading a book, or just napping. Treat yourself. You've earned it.
There are two separate setting areas in the expansive great room, and a large dining area, with seating for 8. Rearrange the seating a little and you can easily seat everyone in your party around the 55 inch flat screen TV Bring your Ipod/Ipad and connect to AppleTV, or watch the pay/premium channels offered by HBO, Showtime, and Cinamax. There are a bunch of them. The bluray player and internet media (such as netflix) rounds out the entertainment options.
Congratulations on selecting Palm Springs as your vacation destination. You will have a terrific time. And if my property matches your vacation requirements, I will do my best to make your stay one to remember.
