Harbor Island Resort on St. Helena Island, South Carolina, a private vacation island with 24 hour guard at security gate. This is the BEST one bedroom beach villa on Harbor Island. The villa is a first floor end unit, newly remodeled. Former summer residence of ex-owners.

This first floor villa sleeps four adults comfortably. New sleeper sofa and chair. Villa has two decks, one off master bedroom with a swing, the other off living room. Very nice view of ocean from both decks, and living room windows.
Beautifully decorated, fully furnished with all new appliances in the kitchen including a microwave, smooth top stove(March 2004), and washer/dryer... features a queen-sized bed in master bedroom and a new queen sleeper in living room... New TV (cable) in the living room and bedroom... one and a half bathrooms.
Near all three Harbor Island swimming pools, Harbor Island Beach and Racket Club, included in rate. Only 100 feet to local pool. Just 250 feet from your white sandy private beach. New children's wooden playground recently built. Large olympic sized pool, kiddie pool, new fitness room, large sand volleyball court, and picnic tables/with grills area are located at Harbor Beach Club. Next to Beach Club are three tennis courts, two have new hard courts recently installed.
Near egret/heron rookies with a few "gators," it is only two miles to the 5,000 acre Hunting Island State Park... with great beach... 1859 lighthouse... and nature center, hiking trails, and biking... near 1,120 foot Paradise Pier for fishing,rated best in the Carolinas.
Play golf on the two world class Fripp Island golf courses, Ocean Creek and Ocean Point (Davis Love III designed) recently named "top 10" new course design honors from both Golf Magazine and The Golfer... 30 other golf courses are in the area, including South Carolina National Course on nearby Cat Island and the Country Club of Beaufort.
Watch the deer at night and 300 lb. sea turtles laying eggs at dark on Harbor Island in season. This is a very relaxing place to be, watch sunsets from the beach or shrimp boats in the morning, with fresh seafood dock just outside the complex. The movie "Forest Gump" was filmed on the Island, and the "Big Chill" in Beaufort.
