My familiy Witchwater get away was perfect. The pictures and description on web-site was right on. Working with Jodie was a pleasure. The cabin was rustic but extremly comfortable just what we were looking for, " the up north expereance". Looking forward to an opportuniity to return. Highly recommened !!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Unfortunately there were a number of problems with the property. The listing said Rustic and it was. Had water problems starting the first day - sand in the pipes, oven didn't work. The manager was very responsive got someone out to fix it but problem reoccured within a day. Oven never worked and after the repair person looked at it the stove had a major gas smell so we didn't use it the rest of the week. :( bummer. Outdoor furniture was broken and/or dirty. View was beautiful but it needs work. Asked for a partial refund, did not get it. We left early.Owner response: I am sorry the urge to leave early was felt. The property has so much to offer! Most of the issues were fixed within a couple of days. I do feel a need to explain some things. A new well had been installed and with the crystal clear water came a bit of sand. The pipes were flushed again, but there is still sand. This is common with some of the wells in our area. The faucet screens will have to be emptied as they get plugged with sand. As for the stove/oven, there were no issues with previous renters or the following renters. The stove/oven is from the 1950's. As in the good old days, the gas is turned on when is use and burners are lit with a match stick. Complete lighting directions are now posted. All suggestions to help make your getaway as pleasant as possible are appreciated.

Outstanding Rental Property and Location on the Whitefish Chain

We had the pleasure of renting this property for the past 4 years until purchasing a place of our own on the Whitefish Chain this year. If you are looking for a true up north experience on the Whitefish Chain, this property offers 350 feet of shoreline and 19 acres of total privacy. The rustic cabin gives you that true up north cabin feel, while being in the heart of the finest chain of lakes in Minnesota. This location is very private with the whole 19 acres fully wooded and the wildlife is spectacular, from the deer to the birds there is no shortage of nature to appreciate. Our kids would actually pitch a tent outside looking over the lake and spend some nights "camping out" and other nights in the cabin. This is truly an amazing piece of property and a great experience for the entire family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you so much for leaving your review. It is very much appreciated. We hope all our renters feel as you do.
