  My g/f and myself spent 5 days in Venice at Marco's apartment... like others have said, it is nicely placed out of the way of all the touristy crowds, yet it is still very accessible by the water buses, and because of the small size of the city, it is still easy to get everywhere. The pictures very accurately show what you are getting. We were met at the Ghetto by Sara who escorted us to the apartment, and then showed us around it a bit. I had been to Venice once before, so getting around was not so bad (it is still easy to get turned around a little). There were restaurants right around, it was easy to find grocery stores as well. Overall, things went very well, and we thank Marco for providing a great base for us to explore Venice, Murano, and Burano... Thanks Marco! Would not hesitate to contact him again if we needed a place to stay in Venice.

  Everything was just perfect! Not far away from the railwaystation, not far away from the vaporettostops, very near to ghetto. But still not in the middle of masses of tourists... The place was cosy, nice and clean, just perfect for two-three people. It had everything we needed - also lots of nice guidebooks, so you don't have to carry heavy books with you. There are lots of restaurants near by, and also little shops where to buy food. We were quite happy to find rubber boots in a cupboard in the bathroom - we needed them badly, because it was raining every day. Ich kann nur sagen: sehr empfehlenswert. Ich habe schon öftermal Venedig besucht, und auch nächstes Mal möchte ich "da Marco" wohnen! Und auch nächstes Mal werde ich "Il Paradiso Perduto" besuchen - das Essen war lecker!

  Nous avons passé quelques jours dans l'appartement de Marco, qui est quelqu'un de très prévoyant, à l'écoute et qui a condensé de nombreuses recommandations à l'intention des locataires. Cela nous a été très utile ! Le quartier est calme et recèle de très bons restaurants à proximité de l'appartement (ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas à Venise apparemment). L'appartement est conforme à la description et aux photos (coin chambre ouvert sur la pièce à vivre) mais est assez sombre l'après-midi car au RdC. Ce qui le rend aussi très frais, appréciable les chaudes journées d'été et après avoir marché au soleil pendant des heures ! Je recommande cet appartement pour sa localisation et les nombreuses qualités de Marco, qui fait vraiment tout pour que le séjour soit agréable à ses locataires. Je ne manquerai pas de contacter Marco si je retourne à Venise :)

  since a few years we spend one week in venice: now we had the second time in marcos apartment. and we will come back: nearly no tourists in town (except at the weekend): living among the venetian people. easy walks to the vaparettostation and to other venice parts, good supermarkets nearby (billa & the new 'prix quality') also restaurants. and a complete equipment in the flat near the ghetto. after the last trip we would specially recommend a trip to burano and a long walk on giudeccas waterfront.

  My husband and I stayed in Marco's aparrment for a week. we enjoyed our stay and had a great week in Venezia! The best thing was to be away from the tourist crowd and the only noise you heard were people talking as they passed by. We had booked a 7 day vaporetto ticket (on veniceconnected.com) so we could easily get around by boat. Walking to the tourist spots is also possible, but you do a lot of walking anyway so taking the boat sometimes is very convenient. Thank you, Marco, for the detailed information which helps finding your way around Venice and understanding the characteristics of Venice. The apartment was well equipped, there was also a very good selection of films on DVD and music (CDs). We would recommend it to our friends.

  Das Appartement liegt ruhig und in einem sehr schönen alten Stadtteil von Venedig, abseits von den Touristenströmen. Es ist gut ausgestattet und sauber. Um die Ecke befinden sich nette Bars und Restaurants in denen viele Einheimische essen gehen. Einige Straßenzüge weiter ist eine größere Einkaufsmeile mit Supermärkten, Bäckereien, Shops etc. Wir können Marco`s Appartement guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen. Preis-Leistung stimmt!

  Jeune couple de Nantes, nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine à Venise dans cet appartement. Situé dans un quartier charmant encore habité par des vénitiens et loin des foules de touristes, il est à quelques pas de deux arrêts de vaporetto et à proximité à pied des principales attractions touristiques. Il est bien équipé et chaleureux et on s'y sent toute de suite chez soi. Nous avons également apprécié les petits restaurants et cafés du quartier et surtout les nombreux conseils et bon plans transmis par le propriétaire qui fait tout pour faciliter les conditions de location et nous lui en remercions. Le quartier présente des aspects très diversifiés notamment si on fait un détour par le Ghetto et cache de nombreux petits trésors comme les églises S. Alvise, Santa Maria dell'Orto ou S. Giobbe, beaucoup moins touristiques mais très intéressantes et que nous recommandons hautement aux amateurs d'art. Nous aimerions y retourner bientôt pour continuer l'exploration de ce quartier et de cette ville fabuleuse.

  Ich habe eine Woche mit meiner Tochter in diesem Apartment verbracht und kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Die Straße ist ruhig, aber es gibt kleinere Geschäfte, einen Bäcker und gute Lokale in der Nähe. Hinter der Küche/dem Bad befindet sich der Hof einer Trattoria, aber es gab nur abends einige Gäste und trotz des sehr guten Wetters war es nicht zu laut. Die Gegend liegt nicht auf der "Hauptrennstrecke" der Touristen, in 10-15 Minuten ist man aber zu Fuß fast überall. Wir sind meist gelaufen, was viel schnell geht als auf das nächste Vaporetto zu warten. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Obwohl es nicht groß ist, ist die Raumeinteilung sehr geschickt, das Bett befindet sich hinter einer kleinen Wand. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl an DVDs, auch einige Filme für Kinder. Vielen Dank auch für die vielen Tipps! Wir werden gern einmal wiederkommen. Thank you very much, Marco!

  Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist für Venedig super !!!!! Marco informiert ausreichend, beantwortet sämtliche Fragen und Sarah, die den Schlüssel übergibt, ist eine liebenswerte und hilfsbereite junge Frau. Wir waren eine Woche Ende Juni in Venedig und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Von der Vaporetto-Haltestelle Alvise sind es zwei Minuten zum Apartment. Die Unterkunft ist mit allem Nötigen eingerichtet und die Bilder und Beschreibung im Internet stimmen überein. Die Nächte waren bereits sehr warm und wir haben uns nur mit einem großen Leintuch zugedeckt. Es gibt einen Ventilator, aber keine Klimaanlage. Wer Venedig liebt, die nötige Toleranz aufbringt und das italienische Leben annimmt bzw. den eigenen Perfektionismus ablegt , kann hier eintauchen und Venedig abseits vom Tourismus entdecken. An der Rückseite des Apartments bzw. Studios ist der Innenhof einer Trattoria. Das ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, da Tische unmittelbar vor dem Küchenfenster und Toilettenfenster stehen. Es sind vor den Fenstern Gitter und Fliegennetze angebracht und der Geräuschpegel hält sich in Grenzen. Spätestens um 23.30 Uhr war Ruhe, da die meisten Gäste zum Abendessen kommen. Da die Trattoria ein gewisses Preisniveau hat, kamen angenehme Gäste. Wir haben in der ganzen Zeit keine Alkoholeskapaden oder andere Ausraster erlebt und selbst schöne Stunden am Ende des Tages in der Trattoria genossen. Ein paar Minuten vom Apartment entfernt ist ein Billa-Supermarkt. Hat man sich einmal durchgefragt, ist es danach kein Problem mehr, ihn zu finden. Das Apartment liegt sehr ruhig, aber es ist nicht nach deutschem Standard isoliert. Wenn jemand vorbeiläuft, hört man es. Für uns war es kein Problem , Autoverkehr ist wesentlich schlimmer und der findet in Venedig zum Glück überhaupt nicht statt. Lassen Sie sich treiben und genießen Sie die Stadt mit allen Sinnen. Eine Wochenkarte ( 50 Euro p.Pers.) für die Vaporettos ( incl. Bus ) hat uns überallhin gebracht. Die Vaporettolinien fahren bis zum Lido ( schöne Badestrände für einen Tag am Meer ) und nach Chioggia, nach Murano, Burano, Torcello, Giudecca, zum Cimitierre ......... nehmen Sie sich Zeit zum Genießen und Kennenlernen von Neuem. Dear Marco and Sara, thank you very much for all.The time in Venice was great. A part of our heart we leave in Venice. We come again and next we stay longer !!!!

  We just returned from our stay in beautiful Venice. We liked the apartment very much and found the area very nice, quiet and overall lovely. Everything is very easily accessible and the apartment is well equiped. Everything is just as described in the ad. Marco is very kind and helpful and provides a lot of information for the stay. And: we would definitely come back. Our favourites are: Timon: a great pub just two bridges down in the direction of downtown (have s spritz: we just love that venetian drink!!) Billa: a cheaper and bigger supermarket if you walk the big street in the San Marco direction Gianduiotto: amazing Icecream-specialty of the Nico Gelateria just beside the Zattere vaporetto-stop
