Ft. Myers beach is less than a half hour away, and there are plenty of attractions within minutes of our location, including many great restaurants. Cape Coral offers something for everyone in your group, from beaches, biking, and kayaking to miniature golf, shopping, and a water park. You can also get in a round of golf or check out baseball spring training. There is a grocery store within a ½ mile, and churches are just a short distance away.

We arrived in Cape Coral not knowing what to expect of the area as we have never been to that part of Florida. We needn't have worried because as soon as we walked through the door to the villa we felt totally at home. The villa is exactly as advertised, beautifully clean and so well equipped. There wasn't anything we needed that we couldn't find there! After a very hectic week in Orlando the beautiful pool and relaxing hot tub were exactly what we needed. The owner was extremely helpful prior to us travelling over to the US and answered any queries I had. My children aged 14 and 9 found things that kept them occupied and we were very grateful for the DVD's left there. We did go out and about and loved 'Manatee Park' in Fort Myers and it is well worth having a day out to Sanibel/Captiva. We saw Dolphins in the sea on the beach at Sanibel Lighthouse. Made our day! Definitely worth going to eat is the 'Lobster Lady' but call ahead as it is very busy. I can't praise this villa enough it made our holiday and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the Cape Coral area. I only wish it were ours!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We enjoyed home very much, all was as good or better than advertised and shown on VRBO very clean and comfortable Marty was extremly helpful,great location for day trips to Matlacha,Fort myers beach saw Manatees a few times just off deck we would recommend to our friends Thank you Chuck and Ellen we hope to book in the futureRecommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners.

My first impression of the home was that it had absolutely beautiful landscaping. This led to me having a very high expectation of the inside; I was not disappointed. Upon walking into the home I was stunned by how nice everything was. All of the furniture looked brand new and I immediately felt comfortable. My biggest surprise to the home was just how big the lanai (patio) and pool area was. Every morning I had breakfast on the lanai looking into the pool area and out toward the canal. It was perfect! I was looking for a relaxing get-away and I found it! Some of the other nice things about the home was the dock on the canal. There was some great fishing to be had while sitting on the dock and I even saw my first Manatee! Very exciting! Also, there is a full grocery store only a few minutes from the house and many restaurants just a little further. We had a lot of fun trying out some of the local favorites. In a nutshell, I plan to come back. Very relaxing.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: This is our second home. (vacation home) We live in Minnesota most of the time, but love to visit when we can. We have 4 children. Marty V. is our caretaker and will gladly meet you upon check in. He can attend to any needs you may have, and can offer directions to shopping and restaurants. My brother lives across the street and offers his home for seasonal rental too. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Southwest:
Quiet neighborhood along saltwater canal. Beautifully manicured lawn, great neighbors. Manatees and stingrays have been recently spotted in the canal in front of our dock! Shopping, boat rental, fishing, parks, water park, golfing, spring training for Minnesota Twins, and Red Sox close by.
If you have a larger family and want to stay close by (across street), my brother has his home for rent too.
