  This was our first experience renting on line and to be honest both my husband and I were nervous. However, Mike and Joan were wonderful to work with! We had multiple communications prior to our date of arrival and they alleviated all of our concerns. The house itself was perfect for us! It was spotless, and everything in it is updated and works! The kitchen is complete with everything we needed, and more (my daughter wanted to make cookies but we ran out of time). The view is absolutely beautiful!! We enjoyed it from both the upper deck (my favorite!) and the lower porch. It did get hot, but the window air conditioners worked great - we had no complaints! As a bonus, the neighbors were friendly and fun to chat with. Thank you Mike and Joan - we had an amazing time!!

  We had a wonderful time at this beach side home this summer. Our family rented the house for two weeks in June and we couldn't have been happier. We have a one year old and the house was very child-friendly. With it's 3 bedroom and 2 full bath set-up, we were able to have our parents stay with us for a weekend and we comfortably fit 6 adults in the house. We went on walks everyday by the water and enjoyed the peacefulness of the neighborhood. Mike and Joan were very accommodating and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The view from the house was spectacular! We enjoyed watching the boats sail in and out of the harbor each day. We spent a lot of time on the second floor sun porch admiring the view. My husband enjoyed playing golf at the nearby Longshore Golf Club (open to the public) and we could walk to the beach in the neighborhood or drive to the public beach in Westport - both were wonderful spots! We highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a vacation home. When our time at this house was up, we kept wishing that we had rented the house for a longer stay! We hope to be back next summer!

  House was exactly as advertised. The owner was relaxed about our use of the house and extremely up front and organized about any visits he may need to make and any unaddressed problems that there might be with the place (ie - missing BBQ utensils and coathangers which were replaced the next morning). It had also been cleaned top to bottom just before our arrival. All the basic living needs were covered and I don't watch TV, so the undersized sets were no problem. The real attraction is the wonderful breakfast area on the upper floor which holds 6 people for breakfast easily. Looking over the water and watching the boating take place was the most stress releiving experience I've had in a long time. One warning I would have is that there is an air conditioner in every room, and if it's very hot they would be essential (although most of the time there was a cool breeze). Because the rooms are small the sound of the conditioner can make it very difficult to sleep. All in all this was exactly what I was after and would definitly stay again. Definitely bring your own router/airport if you have one. There is only a wired connection. Short distance to a reasonably priced water park (sailboats, kayaks, catamarans), however on the day we wanted to go it was too windy and the trip was aborted. The golf clubs in the immediate area were either residents only (via a special permit) or expensive.

  Owner response: They are a wonderful family and we enjoyed have them. This will serve to address the issues about golf, TVs and the Internet: Within 3 to 12 miles of the house there are 11 public and municipal golf courses, which many of our past guests have played over the years. This is first time anyone was unhappy with the cost or accessibility. Most of our guests seem to like watching TV on the 30" set in the living room. There's a small TV upstairs in the sunroom, where people prefer looking out at the scenery instead of watching TV. A larger TV in that room--no matter where it was positioned--would tend to partially obstruct the panoramic water views provided by the large wrap-around windows. Our Internet access via high-speed Optimum Cable was found to be adequate by all previous 35 renters. Thanks, Mike and Joan

  We could not have had a better stay at this house. Mike the owner was more then accommodating. He made us feel right at home from the begining and the view from the second floor was spectacular. We would recommend this house to anyone type of person and we hope to be back next year.

  A lovely house with an outstanding view of the water. Very comfortable and quiet with all amenities. Would definitely stay there again as it is a such a lovely setting. An added bonus was the upstairs sitting room off the master bedroom leading out to the upstairs balcony, all of which have fabulous water views. The property was immaculate and the owner extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. Jane

  We rented this home for two months and if plans permitted would do so again. Great location enjoying a wide harbor vista looking at sunrise over the opening to Long Island Sound. Very clean, all practical ammenities, lovely sun porch which is part of master bdrm. Very convenient to Rt 95, MetroNorth and In town Westport.

  A stones throw to the water, the view from the upper deck and front porch of Long Island Sound was worth the price alone. But to add to that the home is in immaculate condition nicely decorated and very comfortable. The owners were accommodating and very responsive to our every need and made us feel at home. The town of Westport which is only a few minutes drive has great restaurants and shopping. This is a place we thoroughly enjoyed and are looking forward to going back to. Vicki & Charlie

  My family of 5 spent the Thanksgiving week at this lovely house in Westport Ct. Amazing water views particularly from the master bedroom located at the front of the house. The house is spotless, nicely decorated, completely updated (lovely kitchen with stainless steel appliances) and cozy. The neighbor is wonderful for seaside walks. The house is right across Harbor Road from the water. I would imagine that in warmer weather it would be very easy to access the harbor with kyacks etc. The house is close to the Westport train station (not walking distance but a short drive) and there is lots of parking at the station for a quick ride into NYC. Landlords Mike and Joan are very welcoming and friendly. All and all, a great experience.
