Gorgeous House, a Minute Walk Down a Sandy Lane to Private Beach
- Minimum stay:Contact owner
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
A beautiful three bedroom home, set in just under half an acre, on a quiet sandy lane less than a minutes walk to a private beach. The private beach access is to Cape Cod Bay, near point of rocks. It is one of the most stunning beaches on the cape. You can watch the incredible summer sunsets from the bluff or at low tide walk to the ocean over a mile of sand flats.
The house itself has been recently redecorated and furnished. It has a modern beach house feel with all the creature comforts of your own home.
The house also offers a two car garage and ample parking in the driveway.
At the rear of the house we have a patio area, furnished with a teak table and chairs for outside dining, with a modern gas grill for chef. For your comfort we also have two teak sun loungers.
We love our Cape home and know that you will not want to leave....we never do!
Cape Cod Bike Trail : Cape Cod Rail Trail - From Dennis to Wellfleet
The Cape Cod Rail Trail follows a former railroad right-of-way for 22 miles through the towns of Dennis, Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham and Wellfleet. Its paved surface, few hills, and well-marked automobile crossings make it ideal for cyclists. The trail has a wide unpaved shoulder on one side to accommodate horseback riding, walkers, and runners.
There are many opportunities to get off the trail and visit a beach. Food and water are also readily available and public restrooms can be found at Nickerson State Park, Salt Pond Visitors Center at Cape Cod National Seashore and the National Seashore Headquarters. If you do not have a bike, bike rentals are available at many points along the way. For people with disabilities, a limited number of hand-cycles are available for rent at specific bike concessions. For more information call Nickerson State Park at 508-896-3491.
Nickerson State Park : Nickerson State Park, Rte. 6A, Brewster
Travel the road to the upper campgrounds in Nickerson State Park and you may think for a moment that you have been magically transported to the Berkshire Hills or the piney woods of the Carolinas. Nowhere in sight are the sand dunes and salt marshes usually associated with Cape Cod. Instead, you are surrounded by woods that slope down to the banks of eight crystal clear fresh water ponds. Yet, if you walk or bicycle through the woods, you will find no rivers or streams feeding the ponds. These are “kettle ponds,” among more than 300 formed as glaciers retreated from the Cape over 10,000 years ago. Completely dependent on groundwater and precipitation, the water level in the ponds fluctuates from season to season and year to year.
Nickerson's 1900 acres offers more than camping also an amphitheater, eight miles of roads, hiking trails, an eight mile bike path that connects to the 25 mile Cape Cod Rail Trail and ponds stocked with trout

This house is a gem located on a quiet lane on a beautifully private, well-landscaped plot. There is a very large brick floored patio behind the house and a sloping garden area for children to run and play ball games. The gas barbeque invites you to prepare easy meals to enjoy al fresco at the redwood table there. Outside shower is a boon for washing off beach sand, Kitchen appliances are new, living room is very attractive with a large screen t.v. Two upstairs bedrooms and bathroom are pleasant. Downstairs with large "family room" or bedroom, plus additional bedroom is a boon if you have children or are two families splitting costs. Toys in garage for a rainy day were enjoyed. The house is kept scrupulously clean and notices on the board are very helpful. Some good restaurants are within walking distance. The Beach is SUPERB just a very short walk down the lane and only has other vacationing families using it. It was everything we hoped for and more!Did you find this review helpful? A lovely house, perfect for a family holiday. We loved the location, it was a minute's stroll down a very quiet sandy lane to a beautiful beach. The house had every thing that we needed and more. My children loved the hammock in the garden and we barbequed on the patio most nights. There are also a few restaurants in easy walking distance if you want to go out. We went out one night and left the children with a baby sitter, perfect! Cycle trails near by, you can run or cycle for miles on safe paths. We loved the lakes with beautiful clear water and pedalos for hire. Whale watching from Province Town is a must. This is a lovely house, suitable for one or two families, in a great location. We will definitely be returning.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
