Three Rivers cabin description
This two level home has some of the best views up into Sequoia National Park that you can get up here. It is actually within the park boundary on the park side of the entrance station. There are very few homes left in the park. The home has floor to ceiling views to take full advantage of the outstanding views. It has central air and heat, a pellet stove and a fire place. The house is fully stocked, just bring food. There are two single beds upstairs in the loft, two bedrooms in rooms downstairs and a fold out couch downstairs also. The home has two bathrooms. It can easily accommodate 6 people, up to 8 people if we add an inflatable mattress. This cabin is new to the vacation rental market, once you stay, you'll want to come back.

The views were spectacular! I am glad we stayed here for the convenience. However, the house needed some up keep and it is most certainly not meant for 11 people. I can 8 people staying comfortably but to more. The house could also use some cleaning.

Out in the nature but within comforts of home
Out in the nature but within comforts of home
Loved these ... I rented this place mainly because of the firepole... thought it would be an extra for our kids, and secondly hoping that everyone could sleep together on the loft. Our kids loved the tiny hideaway room in the loft. House was very roomy for the 6 of us. Loved the football/sports/bar decor which coincide with both me and my husband's alma mater. Loved the kitchen which was well stocked with more than what we need. Loved the big windows so you can see outside. Loved one of the bathrooms downstairs because it is new and well air conditioned, had a big window to view the outdoors. The kitchen and one of the bathrooms are the more modern/cool side of the house compared to the other areas which felt more rustic/cozy/warm. Kids loved running up and down the stairs and exploring the loft. Loved that there were a couple of armchairs so there's plenty of room for everyone. Glad that they had cable (Dish I think). Would plan better next time if I had known these in advance ... Temperature was different throughout the house... some areas were cool and some were warm, especially the loft upstairs. Because my in-laws had chosen their spots, I ended up sleeping on the arm chair downstairs next to the AC vent where I felt most comfortable. (Most people in my party wasn't as bothered with the temperature. People have different heat tolerances and mine was low.) Also a note of caution for over-sanitized city urbanites -- there are certain insects there... it's part of being in the nature, part of Sequoia I guess. Just try to keep the doors/windows closed. Lastly, one of my family member is very sensitive and allergic to dogs and was having minor reactions in the house although no dogs were visible. It might be something in the air... we don't know. The rest of us were fine. Overall, we loved the privacy, rustic, the hideaway getaway feel. It feels like a home that the owner tried to make guests feel comfy and invited. There were toiletries, shampoos, soap in the bathroom so you only need to pack your toothbrush and toothpaste. What I liked most, personally for me, is looking out the huge windows at night. You just don't see stars and sky like that living in the smoggy city. BTW, our AT&T cellphone worked fine in this house. On the road to the house though, reception is spotty. 1 more thing I would do differently next time-- keep your gas tank filled up whenever you can before you go inside Sequoia park.
