I rented this house for my friends bachelorette party weekend. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised on how clean and updated the house was, you could tell it has been well taken care of. It was a quiet neighborhood but still very close to many things. The only problem we had with the house was that there were millions of bugs on the front door (even though we left the front light off) and they were getting into the house, so some of our time spent in the house was chasing after bugs. Other than that, we all loved the house and had a very great stay. I would definitely recommend this house to my friends and family for a future stay.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your review, and I am glad you enjoyed your weekend at my home! The "bugs" are something that is native to Lake Erie, and they arrive once during the summer (cannot predict arrival) and they hang around for a week or so then are gone. They are referred to locally as Canadian Soldiers or Midges, however they ARE NOT those nasty Mayflies! They do not swarm around people and dont bite, they love the trees and the sides of homes/buildings. I hope this clarifies the traveler comment sufficiently to other future travelers.

My family planned to visit the Lake Erie area and found this place on VRBO. The owner was quick to respond to our questions and told us some history about the area. The pictures shown on VRBO accurately represented the property. It was perfect for our family of four and our doggie. The house was very clean and comfortable and was very affordable. The kitchen was big and appliances were new. It was centrally located...short distance to the strip and quick drive to the state parks, lake and swimming. We visited several wonderful wineries, saw many covered bridges, drove to Cleveland to see the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame (about an hour drive), visited lighthouses and drove the coastline to see many sights and enjoy the shopping areas. The people were friendly, food was good, sunsets were gorgeous, weather was perfect and we really enjoyed our vacation. A great place to stay with a great price!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We were in for a swim meet at Spire Institute and wanted to stay close . The house was perfect. It was clean and everything was new. It made our weekend very comfortable. It is close to the lake and the strip. There was plenty of room and a nice backyard. I would stay here again next time we are in Geneva. The owner was very prompt answering emails and tried hard to make our stay perfect.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

I traveled to Geneva-on-the-lake for business with my dog and was looking for a pet friendly rental home instead of a hotel since I was going to be in town for 5 days. I found this newly renovated ranch home and was SO lucky that it was available. This is a beautiful, well appointed home with 3 bedrooms and two baths. It has an ENORMOUS and wonderful kitchen. I prepared all of my meals there and didn't want for anything. The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful, yet it is only a few blocks off of the strip. It is so close to the beach, yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist attractions. Love the private backyard and fire pit. Hope to stay here again with my family next time. Two thumbs up for sure.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
