Pura Vida is a beautiful home in Ocracoke. Nice open floor plan with plenty of room. It is furnished nicely, well maintained and very clean. Enjoyed the master suite with private bathroom, nice screened in porch, well equipped kitchen, outdoor shower and fish cleaning station! Owner was very helpful and a pleasure to rent from! Would love to visit it again and we recommend it highly!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Upon our arrival, what a nice surprise awaited us in the house! Woody knew we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, and a chilled bottle of champagne with a nice card were on the counter! We knew that we were off to a great start in beautiful Ocracoke. The house was immaculate, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all of the necessities. The artwork and sculptures that are personal to Woody add to the beauty of the home. The neighborhood is quiet, and the location is central to everything. We enjoyed the lazy evenings on the screened in porch (even though it was quite warm), and appreciated the outdoor shower to rinse off after a long day fishing on the beach. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and we look forward to returning to Pura Vida next summer! Cheers!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Excellent stay, the house has been well cared for and was exactly as described. The owner was very helpful with my last minute reservation and was easy to contact and communicate with, The house is easily within walking distance to the village. Hope to stay there again, soon.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, tourists without a car.

This home is centrally located behind the coffee shop! Perfect location! Close to restaurants and wonderful shopping. We had a very relaxing time reading leisurely on the screened in porch relaxing on the porch swing. The kitchen was great to cook in with all the necessary utensils and quality ones I might add. Which is not always the case in vacation home rentals. The master suite was large and the whirlpool tub was awesome. Thanks so much for sharing it. I will definitely be back. I've rented homes on Ocracoke for past 15 years and I never return twice to the same home but that is about to change now.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

About the owner: I built this house myself at the ripe young age of 25. I built my first treehouse when I was 10 years old all by myself. When built, I put all the top amenities in as possible and have some minor tweeking over the years. All the wood used for the exterior siding and the interior trim is California Redwood, with the interior being Heart Redwood. This spring a new fresh coat of paint was put on the inside to make it almost feel like new again. The living room and master bedroom has TVs with Dish TV and DVD players. The 3rd bedroom has a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is roomy so several people can share the space at the same time. This spring the house got a fresh coat of paint on the inside and if feels almost brand new again.

Pura Vida is located in the 'heart' of Ocracoke Village. It's within walking distance or a bike ride of all the shops and restaurants in Ocracoke.

Pura Vida is located on a very quite street, where you can walk out at night and see all the stars in the sky, or sit on the lovely screen porch and gaze out at the trees. The porch offers a swing, rockers, adirondack chairs for you resting pleasure. It also has a super size round picnic table for your dining pleasure. The master bath has a nice size jacuzzi. The heart redwood gives the house extra warmth.
