Paphos and its surrounds: There are many activities available locally including cycling, mountain biking, rock climbing, trekking, sea kayaking, snorkelling and a water park.
The whole of Paphos town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with fascinating mosaics at the Houses of Aion and Dionysos, archaeological sites such as St. Paul’s Pillar and The Tombs of the Kings and many other sites of interest such as the harbour fort. There are also beautiful monasteries such as Agios Neofytos and Chrysorrogiatissa on the nearby Akamas Peninsular and inland, together with picturesque villages and nature trails. Further north lie the Baths of Aphrodite, near to the resort town of Polis, which overlooks the beautiful Chrysochou Bay with its charming fishing refuge of Latsi. The relatively unspoilt state of the countryside and villages make the area, including the Akamas Peninsular, a treasure for walkers and naturalists. East of Polis, next to rocky beaches and cliffs are delightful villages such as Pomos and Kato Pyrgos.
Further afield around Cyprus: Limassol and the area immediately around it contains enough cultural treasures to occupy you for days. In the heart of the city itself is the Cyprus Mediaeval Museum, housed in the imposing mediaeval fort where, in 1191, Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria of Navarre and made her Queen of England.
The Troodos massif, which stretches across the centre of Cyprus and contains Mount Olympus, the highest peak at 1,952m, is a truly spectacular, rugged but easily accessible region brimming with nature trails, 12th to 15th century frescoed churches, winemaking villages and pine forests. There are monasteries dating from the Byzantine period and the best known is at Kykkos. The main resorts are Platres and Kakopetria, which are cosmopolitan villages with attractive bakeries, shops and a refreshing alpine atmosphere.
Pissouri is a seaside village between Paphos and Limassol with many tavernas, restaurants and bars serving food and drink of exceptional quality.
The en-suite bathrooms and downstairs cloakroom have enhanced specification tiles and fittings and are fully tiled up to ceiling height. The shower room is en-suite to the double bedroom and the bathroom with a screened shower over the bath is en-suite to the twin bedroom....moreless
