  We loved every minute of our holiday at this gorgeous villa. The decor was even better than the pictures depicted. Each room was beautifully appointed with lovely furniture and fresh flowers too. The master bath has an enormous tub for soaking in and sky light windows so you can enjoy the view whilst bathing. There were five of us staying at the villa, my husband and me, our two boys and their grandfather. There was more than enough room for all of us with rooms to spare. We got quite lucky with the weather for February and enjoyed many sun-filled days basking outside by the pool and barbecuing. The Japanese restaurant at the hotel, Midori, was the best sushi I've ever had in my life, surpassing Nobu in both London and New York even. The Six Senses Spa was also a treat and my husband and I indulged in a couples massage, facial capped off with strawberries and champagne on Valentine's Day-- heavenly! My son and I, both avid birders, enjoyed morning walks through the wooded paths and around the golf course where we saw many beautiful birds--we saw 8 new species of birds in all- very exciting. The villa is the perfect base from which to explore the beauty of Portugal. We toured the lovely seaside town of Cascais and enjoyed the shopping and delicious seafood there. We also ventured to the nearby medieval town of Sintra which was also very interesting and beautiful. The city of Lisbon is just a 30 minute drive away and is a wonderful, vibrant city with great architecture, friendly people, lovely parks and delicious food. The owners Jackie and Adrian were exceptionally helpful and easy to deal with. We cannot wait to return to this fabulous villa again!

  Beautifully kept spacious villa. There were 10 of us sharing and it never once felt overcrowded. Every comfort had been provided - insided and outside dining facilities, variety of seating in which to relax both inside and outside, large swimming pool. The kitchen was equipped with everything one could think of as being necessary - and some items not necessry! The villa was kept spotlessly clean by Anna the maid who came daily but was very unobtrusive. The garden and swimming pool were both well-maintained. We were close to some beautiful beaches and to the towns of Cascais and Sintra (could have spent a week there alone) and an hour's drive from Lisbon. We ate all our evening meals at the villa made easy by the close proximity of supermarkets I would love to return to this villla and would certainly have no hesitation inrecommending it to others.

  The house is as beautifull as the pictures show. The housekeeping was beyond our expectations (the beds were made up every day, clean towels every two days, special towels to use around the swinging pool. Even the dishwasher was filled and made empty before we mentioned). The house was clean and very well maintained. It is a wonderful quiet place close to Sintra, Cascais and Lissabon (bring a car). It's worth to visit this place with friends or family! We had a wonderfull diner in the Japanese restaurant in the nearby hotel which we can recommend. And if you play golf (which we didn't) this place must be heaven.

  "This villa in fantastic surroundings so close to the golf course, supermarket nearby .A very good japanees restaurent with friendly and service minded people. Without disturbing anybody Ana the houskeeping lady maintained everything perfectly.The villa itself is very comfortable big swimmingpool with enough furniture for 8 people for lying down round the pool .A lot off places to sit with 8 people, large kitchen and diningroom . So much to see in the neighbourhood a monestry,Sintra very nice litle place,some castles,all in reach off 20 minutes.15 minutes to Cascais ,from Cascais 40 minutes to Lisbon by train.So this place is ideal situated for a holliday .

  What a fantastic place wiht a decor to match, in recent years we have rented holiday villas only to get there and be disappointed, not here. Not only are you pleased but it's exceptional with attention to detail and quality a very high standard. We were 2 families with 3 children 2 aged under 2 years old, space and bedrooms were abundant and never felt to closed in. The outside matches the inside with the pool and gardens fantastic. Anna the maid was excellant and looked after all well. Believe me the photographs don't do it justce to the full extent.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

  11 of us stayed at the villa - 9 adults and 2 children. The villa certainly has the wow factor and we couldn't find fault with it (and we're all quite fussy!) The villa is extremely well equipped and had plenty of crockery, glasses etc. for 12 people. It is in very safe surroundings and you're not overlooked when sitting round the pool. The garden was also lovely, very well kept and plenty of space, especially if you have children. The only downside (and this wasn't to do with the villa itself) was the weather. We went in the middle of August and although the weather was very hot, the wind was so strong it actually made it quite difficult sitting outside on one of the days. It also made the evenings cool and the pool was quite cold. We were told while we were there that July and August is usually like this so June/September might be better months to visit. Ana, the maid came in every day except Sunday for most of the day and kept the villa very clean and tidy - she was very friendly and although she couldn't speak English, she tried her best! If you like to play golf, then this villa is ideal, with the lovely golf course right on your doorstep and the golf buggy in the garage an added bonus. The tennis courts at the Country Club were also good, although again the wind when we were there made it a bit tricky playing! Although the owners don't live in Portugal, we didn't have any problems with the booking process and they were very friendly and phoned us when we were there to check everything was OK. Overall, a fantastic villa!

  This holiday rental surpassed all our expectations (and they were high after seeing all those lovely photos on the website). The villa was luxurious and unbelievably spacious inside and out. The maid Anna, who was at the villa each day apart from Sundays, was so helpful and extremely unobtrusive. It sleeps 10 very comfortably - we were 12, and managed very nicely although we had two teenagers in a room that was really suited to smaller children - fans were provided and it was fine. Hire cars are a must really - although we did without and found the bus service to Cascais and Sintra very reliable and of course Anna dropped us to the supermarket or shopping centre. If you have older children that seek more adventure then busing it probably won't go down too well! We also got a train from Sintra to Lisbon - which was hassle free. I think we'd have the pool heated another time as even though the weather was boiling we did have a very windy first 8 days which made swimming a tad chilly. The pool is huge and was cleaned each week of the holiday - along with the garden being tended both weeks. The facilities on the golf resort are available to use and we took advantage of the tennis courts and driving range with the children but they are not cheap and as for drinking at the hotel bar or eating at the restaurants - it is lovely but extremely pricey. We had a lovely meal on the last night at the Arola Restaurant above the Country Club. We had a really wonderful holiday and would definitely return.

  We were 8 young Norwegians renting the property in July 09 and it completely exceeded all our expectations. The owners eased the booking process by being reacheable and helpful. A part from a noise from the somewhat annoying Autodrome, we enjoyed all the facilities belonging to the property including the sweet maid's services. Will definately come back!   True to it's description this luxurious villa surpassed all of my family expectations. The Villa is located in ideal surroundings, from the huge choice of facilities and sports in the complex to the high quality restaurants. The villa is in superb condition, from the high quality interior to the beautiful gardens, my family and I struggled to critise it. Furthermore the maid was very helpful, she cooked both breakfast and dinner to my family's desire and kept the house in great shape. Everyone in my family enjoyed the stay, as there was always something to do. We were spoilt for choice, we could either go to the beach (approximately 15 minutes away), we could go shopping in one of the two local shopping centers, we could go site seeing in Lisbon or Cascais, or we could go play sports. The facilities were really second to none, my son and I would go play golf or tennis while the girls would lay by the pool or go horse riding. On some occasions the girls would come out on the course with us, the golf staff were very accommodating and took care of us very well. Trying to choose the favourite part of the holiday is difficult. The girls enjoyed the shopping centers, and I surprisingly did as well as they are so big that there is something for everyone. Having said that we all really enjoyed Guincho beach. In the evenings Guincho is the place to be as you get to see the sun 'disappear' into the sea and all the resulting colours of the sky. If we wanted to go out for dinner we had difficulty choosing one of the five restaurants in the resort. There is the modern Arola, classical Assa Massa, the country club, the bar and the Japanese Midori restaurants to choose from. What more could you want! For the local Portuguese restaurants we could either go to Estoril, Sintra or Cascais all of which are 5-10 minutes away in the car. This holiday was truly great and we will definitely be coming back in the summer. We all can't wait!!
