Lake Anna house description
Stay at our three-bedroom, two-bath rambler and enjoy 168 ft of private water front, your own boat dock and a separate swimmer's dock, and lots less traffic than you'll find on the public side of the lake. With one king bed, one queen bed, two twins and a queen sleeper sofa, our home can sleep 8 people comfortably. All the amenities are conveniently located on one floor. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a breakfast bar, upgraded appliances, and a washer and dryer. A separate dining room is convenient for everyone eat together, or gather for an evening of card playing. Satellite TV is available in the large family room for watching whatever sport is in season, or bring along some DVDs or videos and enjoy a movie. The living room affords a quiet respite for talking or catching up on some reading. The large unfinished basement is a cool (literally) place to escape the heat, play ping pong or pocket billiards, or just hang out.
The water level at our shoreline is very shallow; great for toddlers and non-swimmers. And there's plenty of deep water for the experienced swimmers, boaters and fishermen in the group. Basketball, horseshoes, and volleyball/badminton are other outdoor activities available on the premises. Bikes are available as well.
No smoking indoors and no pets allowed.

Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day Weekend
My husband and I rented this place for labor day weekend, and to celebrate my birthday. We shared the house with two other couples. Everyone had a blast! We enjoyed being right on the lake, and having our own private off-shore dock. The house was very quiet, and while the lake got busy later in the morning/afternoon with boaters and jet skiers, it didn't really impact our ability to use the water, even for kayaking. The home was spacious and was actually more updated than the pictures indicate. For example, it has not only DirecTV, but also a really nice HD tv. The men on the trip were quite pleased that they could watch football without interruption. We enjoyed using the basement ping pong table and floats provided at the house, but we had some rain during our trip (every night, actually), so we never got to use the fire pit. We were quite content with what amenities the house had to offer on its own, so we actually never left and saw the rest of Lake Anna. If you are looking for a place to just relax and enjoy some peace, I would definitely recommend this house. We literally parked our cars on Friday and aside from grocery shopping, we didn't leave again until checkout on Monday!

This home is absolutly perfect
This home is absolutly perfect if you are looking for a lake vacation! It is right on the lake, it is very private, and the lake feels like Florida water:) This home is absolutly perfect if you are looking for a lake vacation! It is right on the lake, it is very private, and the lake feels like Florida water:) The house has everything you need for the lake, water floats, inner tubes, goggles, sand toys, life jackets, a wagon, a large pier,a floating dock, bikes, a huge basement with toys, bumper pool, ping pong, and room to just run!! The house itself is very comfortable - 3 large bedrooms, 2 large bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a large dining room, and a large kitchen with a washer and a dryer. We spent a week with 4 boys ages 4-11 and didn't miss cable tv or internet service once!! Outside is room to hike, a firepit for smores, a hammock for naps, a swing for relaxing, and of course great fishing!! It's close to major stores and surrounding counties, and the owners are easy to work with and quick to offer ideas and suggestions, we are so glad we chose this house out of the 200 or so we looked at and theres no doubt, we will be back!!

Life flies by, but I wanted to take a minute and thank you for your home last weekend. My family and friends had a blast -- definitely something we plan to do again in the future. If so and we need a 3-bedroom, I'll be sure to get back in touch. Thanks again. You've got a great property!

Why the Owner Chose Lake Anna:
Whether it is a quiet escape you're planning, or an active, fun-filled vacation, our comfortable ranch-style home will more than answer your needs. Nestled in a cove with a nice panoramic view of the lake, Virginia’s second largest, our waterfront home is situated on two-acres surrounded by mature trees that affords privacy and a refreshing escape from the summer heat with plenty of sunny, open space for the sun worshippers as well. The waterfront is shallow enough at the shore line for toddlers and beginner swimmers to splash comfortably while more advanced swimmers can enjoy jumping and diving off the deep water floating dock. Our private boat dock is available for your use as well as free access to our community's private boat launch near the house. When you aren’t in the water, enjoy a game of volleyball or horseshoes, or just sit in the big swing and watch the sunset. Our rambler is especially accomodating for people with limited handicaps. All the essentials, including the washer and dryer, are on one level. A ramp allows access to the house through the front door.
