Purchased brand new in 2011, this fabulous townhome with wide views of the ocean awaits you. Experience island living on Fernandina Beach at our 2 level home that features a spacious setting with three bedrooms, and three full baths. Beautifully decorated in an upscale tropical beach style with all new furnishings and plush pillow top beds for a comfy night's sleep. You will find the garage area is great for drying your wet beach towels. We take pride in keeping Our Jewel by the Sea nice and clean for your arrival. Our townhome sleeps a total of six (6) guest with two king and one queen bed. The main living area on the second level features high ceilings and an open living area where you're sure to enjoy all the comforts of home with a living room and plenty of sitting room to enjoy the 46 inch LCD HDTV/dvd after a fun-filled day at the beach or the many other activities like shopping or sightseeing you will find on the island. This home is designed for open living, dining and kitchen area offers dining seating for eight on the nights you prefer dinner at home. The cook in the family will love the kitchen area with views of the ocean at a glance from the sliding glass doors in the living room. The kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and custom cabinetry. It is fully equipped with all your kitchenware utensils with breakfast bar seating for three.
From the main second floor, watch the early sunrise every morning along with your first cup of coffee and most days many other surprises such as, sailboats, shrimp boats, and on the best of sunny days, a beautiful array of colorful kites flying high over the beach and at high tide the beauty and sounds of the waves crashing ashore. And if you are lucky enough to be staying here during a full moon you will be amazed watching the moonlight dancing on the crashing waves and hearing the song of the sea from the balcony...a beautiful site and feeling to behold! These are some of the special things I love about the beach along with hearing live music at Slider's from our balcony and the short walking distance to popular area restaurants like Sliders, Cedar River Seafood, and for the ice cream lovers a Dairy Queen in walking distance or a short ride to Cold Stone Creamery! After your treat, walk over to Hall's Beach Store to rent a bike to ride. Make sure during your trip you visit the downtown Historic district with all the quaint shops and Marina with wonderful restaurants nearby.
After soaking up summer fun and ready to wind down, you'll find a sitting area at top of stairs, a great spot for conversation or to snuggle up in to read a good book. The bedroom on upper floor has a king size bed with the same identical deluxe pillow top mattresses as you will find in the Master Bedroom, along with a tile shower enclosed with glass door in the bath. Downstairs is where you will find the hallway leading to the Master Bedroom with king bed and 37inchTV/DVD and spacious master bath with two vanities, jacuzzi tub, and glass/tile shower stall. The Third bedroom is also located downstairs. Here you will find the Queen Bedroom with entrance to its own adjoining bath with full tub and shower combination. Along the hallway is the laundry closet that offers a new stackable washer and dryer for your use during your vacation. We supply linens for your stay. But, of course, you need to supply your beach needs such as beach towels, sunscreen, soap, shampoo, etc. You are sure to find numerous stores and restaurants nearby to meet all your needs. Our home comes with Dish network, high speed WiFi internet, fax machine, local and free long distance telephone service excluding any international calls! You will enjoy having the use of the garage we use for hanging wet beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach wagon, and 2 boogie boards. Enjoy the use of our large Charcoal Grill for your grilling convenience, right outside the garage door with great lighting in the wide paved parking lot. Plenty of parking for two cars. There is an outside shower and water hose by the back entrance to wash off beach chairs and accessories. We looked long and hard to find our special place at the Beach and we hope you and your family will enjoy it as much as we do. As I always say, 'Life is Better at The Beach'

We spent the week of Christmas at this beautiful townhouse on Amelia Island. It was our first visit to this part of Florida. We found the townhouse to be beautifully decorated, plenty of seating for dinner and tv watching, very clean, and had all the amenities we needed - the kitchen was well stocked and we had plenty of blankets and pillows. The townhouse is located in a central location, close to the downtown area and close to the state parks. The island is perfect for biking and the beaches are so clean, and fun for beachcombing. We visited St. Augustine one day, rented bikes and biked the trails on the southern side of the island, visited the state parks on the southern side of the island, and shopped the old downtown area, which was full of fun stores. We would definitely love to stay at this townhouse again...it was a great choice for our family of 6!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Having enjoyed our stay in this condo over the 4th of July this year we chose it to return to for our Thanksgiving bike vacation. The weather was a little colder than normal at this time of year but that did not stop us from riding and being on the beach. Our son brought his kayak when he found out the waves were pretty good. He really had fun! We discovered a wonderful bike group and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the people. We prepared our typical Thanksgiving dinner and wanted for nothing! I was pleasantly surprised that so many shops and restaurants were open; in fact the old town of Fernandina Beach was full of people milling around on Saturday after Thanksgiving! Can't wait to go back - hopefully in the spring! Perfect unit with beautiful sunrises to watch from the balcony. So glad we found this gem of a place - I tell everyone about it!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This was one of the best decorated, cleanest homes we have rented for vacation. The owners have every amenity a vacationer would need--from cooking supplies to beach items. The owners were very cordial in meeting our needs. The beds were very comfortable and the views were great. Even the neighbors were very friendly and helpful with providing us with information regarding the island. The location is perfect for close range of restaurants. The nearby golf courses were great, along with state parks. We would highly recommend this vacation spot to anyone.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Amelia Island/Fernadina Beach, FL in this beautiful new condo. It was just as described. The short walk across the street to the beach was not a problem. The owners even had a wagon for our use to wheel all of our beach gear. Having access to the garage was really nice since we had taken a couple of bikes and this allowed them to be locked up without bringing them into the living space! This unit is very centrally located; convenient to everything! We had everything we needed and felt very comfortable! It was nice to sit on the balcony and watch the fire works displays on the 4th of July. The owner was very easy to work with and extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and relatives. 29 South was one of our best dining experiences! We will definitely try to stay here anytime we return to this area!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

We arrived in the midst of Tropical storm Debby to find the house well appointed and comfortable. The first three days we dodged rain and winds to get to the beach but were very comfortable in the house even when we could not go out. The landlords are very gracious and provided more amenities than most of the beach homes we have stayed at over the years. Because the location is so convenient to dining and shopping as well as well as the beach itself, our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a really nice place to stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

My family of five had the pleasure of being among the first to vacation in this new home. Every appliance, bed, and furniture piece was brand new, and very clean. I've stayed in some of the other condo's and 40 year old beach homes in Fernandina that reek of stale beer and cigarette smoke, but this place is very well taken care of. Provided all the comforts of home that you just can't get in a hotel. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
We have stayed all over this island and looked long and hard before making a decision on what part of the beach we wanted to be at. The last home we stayed in before buying we notice it seemed as though the beach was closer to the homes. Sure enough, if you look at the map this area is closer...guess thats why they made the round-a-bout and Seaside Park a block from our home. For sure, it is a very popular area with a vacation vibe.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
After searching for 4 years we finally found what we had been looking for. The brand new construction of this townhome was a delight with many extras like granite countertops, glass/tile baths,recessed and upscale lighting ,etc. after going into so many older homes and leaky ceiling condos..even though some were right on the beach, we preferred this home right across the street that had never been lived in and had all the features we were looking for and the area of the beach we wanted. It only took one look and we knew the short
steps across the street would be worth the walk to live in the
type of home we both desired...and we have never regretted it! It
is wonderful to be on the beach all day and to know our home is close enough to run home and have lunch and stroll back and
fourth with ease. In the evenings, we love being on the balcony
and listen to live beach music while sipping our favorite beverage
and enjoying the sounds of the ocean and the sea breeze, or the
benefit of walking steps down to a wonderful restaurant for a
walk on the beach by moonlight.. just some of our favorite things to do close by. And If we want peace and quiet while watching a
favorite tv show or movie all we have to do is close the sliding
storm windows and pull the blinds. It truly offers the best of both
worlds: excitement or relaxation.
