This luxurious home located at 1800 Canby Ct.that is mainatined and updated frequently. This home has 2050 square feet of air conditioned space. The 1680 square feet of screened-in lanai deck includes a heated pool (8'x35') and 8' spa with covered area including outdoor grill for outdoor dining.

The home has HIGH CEILINGS throughout, with light flooding in from all directions. The living and dining room have 18 foot high ceilings with 12 foot sliding doors that completely open up connecting the living area with the lanai. The large kitchen is completely outfitted for any and all culinary delights and has eat-in breakfast area. The spacious master bedroom has a king bed, walk-through closets, and large bath with separate walk in shower, soaking tub, and two vanities. The two other bedrooms have pillow top queen beds.

The waterfront home has a large dock for sunbathing and mooring up to three boats with direct access to the 'River Area' and the Gulf. The dock has water, power, and fish cleaning table. Numerous fish, Manatees, and porpoises abound right off the dock in the canal.

The private yard is extensively xeroscaped (low water demand) utilizing environmentally sustainable practices with native species of fruit and flowering trees with meandering paths and boardwalks. We practice sustainable landscape maintenance in order to minimize our environmental inpact. This means that the yard has a native Florida appearance without the use of toxic chemicals and wasting precious water. Native birds and Red Hawks freguent the yard.

Simply outstanding, a rare gem

We had the immense pleasure of staying here the last week in September of 2011. My husband and I have been frequent renters in Marco for over 5 years. We come at least twice a year, once in a house big enough for all of us, our daughters, their husbands and their kids and of course hubby and I, and later in the year in a house for just us. Let me advise you that this is one of the nicest houses that we have ever rented!. The owners are super, the property is well appointed, the neighborhood is really nice. The house is located on the intercoastal and each day we saw Dolphins swimming by. As is our custom, we also rented a boat for a couple of days and docked it right outside our kitchen window. The lap pool is great, the hot tub simply wonderful and the house is set up perfectly. Trust me when I say that you will not go wrong renting this house. But always remember that we have first "dibbs" whenever we want to return. When you visit do not forget to go to Snook Inn, go on the Dolphin Explorer and rent a boat from Rose Marco Marina, you simply cannot go wrong.

Onto Canby Court: I have a more critical eye than most because one of my areas of expertise is in hospitality consulting regarding customer comfort; specifically with higher end hotels, so i tend to expect a little more from folks. I am happy to say I could make a huge list of all the fabulous stuff like the maps and brochures provided, the bicycles, fishing tackle, etc. but the best thing about this home is the owners, Jonathan and Beth. They were welcoming, warm, attentive and caring about all concerns. We had to call them about the tiniest thing and they could not possibly have been more accommodating. You are 3 minutes from publix. 7 minutes from everywhere else including Winn Dixie. Side note: oddly enough on Marco the Winn Dixie is much nicer than the Publix. Back to Canby Court:The water views from this home are just lovely, from the kitchen, living room, dining room and master bedroom, water- water everywhere! At night the neighbors have the canal lit up and it romantic and ever so charming. And one of the best parts of Canby Court? It is quiet. There is land on either side of the home and this offers no loud parties, no loud neighbors. If you are wanting a place to host a loud, obnoxious party then this home is not for you, as you will stick out like a sore thumb. Although for a family with children it couldn't be more perfect. And to put icing on the cake, my deposit was returned lickity split.! Thanks Jonathan and Beth, see you next time!!

Thanks for sharing your lovley home. The four of us and our pet really loved everything. The home had ever convenience and appliance you could use. It was quiet, peaceful and and a grea place to reach any beach or shopping area. I would highly recommend this home for anyone.

We have stayed in much better villas in Florida. We holiday in Florida most summers and the villas we have stayed in have always been in pristine condition. The lounge furniture has numerous stains and has seen better days. The bedding in the master bedroom is old and frayed. The lanai furniture is grubby and the pool walls are very worn and unattractive. After several emails and phone calls we eventually got our deposit back 73 days after we vacated even though the lease agreement states 60 days. Overall we had a great time on Marco despite the villa being in need of a complete refurbishment.

Owner response:In September we deep cleaned, replaced, upgraded, and made numerous improvements to our home. This included changing items that some misrepresent as grubby, old or unattractive. The pool is scheduled to be be redone in December. Our objective is always a positive experience for each client in hopes of making them a repeat client, of which we currently have many. I am always amazed at the lack of honesty and failure of a client to mention any issue they may have until 90+ days after staying at a home. Exaggerated negative comments well after a visit do not allow any opportunity to address any issue a client may have and leads one to conclude that they are insincere in their comments. We have many clients that make constructive comments that lead to a more positive experience for all, that is why they have come back year after year.

A little dissapointed

We stayed in July, the house is in a great location but we were disappointed with a few things. First the pool is very worn and my kids did not want to swim in it. The pictures are decieving. The lanai furniture was old and worn as well. We had a hard time adjusting the AC, the main bath is old and dated, but master was very nice.Two of the bikes were not usable at all. Overall we had a nice week. But be warned you have to wait the entire 3 months if not more to receive your deposit! Very frustrating!

Owner response:It would nice if honesty was conveyed in this review. While the pool is scheduled to be completely reconditioned in November it is still very useable, it just has some staining on the walls that look bad but are not a health risk. The pictures are updated every six months and there is no deception with them or the descriptions. The lanai furniture is new (last 4 months) high quality plastic which I guess some do not like. The A/C equipment is less than two years old and the guests kept trying to incorrectly control it with the humidistat controls despite clearly written and posted instructions. A phone call clarified this and it worked fine thereafter for them. Both bathrooms were completely remodeled 6 years ago, so I guess this is personal taste opinion. The two broken kids bikes were replaced after their visit even though they did not mention this to us at the time. This last part is a flat out lie. We return all deposits within 60 days or less as per lease terms and they received and cashed their check within 60 days not 3 months or more. They rented less than 73 days ago so not sure how they calculated 3 month or more. Dissapointed with this comment's deception. I am glad that they had a good time overall which they said they did when we spoke on the phone regarding their inability to operate the AC correctly.

We have been very happy the house this week but wanted to let you know of a few things. There is a crack on the bottom of the microwave door and one on the dining room window both were here prior to our arrival. The micro is usable by all means just wanted you to know. The house is very clean and comfortable. Everything else has been really nice. Thank you for the use of your lovely home, we really have enjoyed it!

Hope you're doing ok? Just letting you know of a few things. I'll start off by saying we enjoyed staying in your beautiful home, and loved Marco Island and hope to return again some day! I never did figure out the air conditioning, so I just cut it off. It was fine the first few days, came back from the beach I believe Tues. and realized it was a bit warm, thats when I called you. Now I understand how the humidstat works. (owner's note: new energy efficient unit was installed last fall) Anyways, we only used the master bedroom, so I don't know if you wanted to touch base w/ your cleaning people, and the sheets for the master bed we cleaned. Thanks again! We had a great wk!

Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your Marco Island home. We had a terrific time. The bikes were a wonderful addition to the home and one of the reasons we chose your home. Todd and I biked almost daily and it was a great way to explore the island and work off the coconut crunch pie from The Little Bar or the crunchy french toast from Ne Ne's. We are already talking about coming back next year. Gratefully,
