    We stayed in Marco the first two weeks of February 2013. This rental property covers all of the bases. We enjoyed the hot tub, the lap pool, and just sitting on the lanai to enjoy the canal view. We especially appreciated being able to bring our two small dogs. The listing photos accurately reflect the house and amenities. The property was clean,though you will see a bug from time to time which is normal in Florida. The owner was quick to answer a few questions we had about the pool. We would definitely stay in this house again! And we LOVE the beaches at Marco!

    We are a family of five, with three kids 9,5,and 3 and loved our stay in this home away from home rental! The kids loved having a pool, just to see our kids get excited about the stay there made our day/week! The house is very roomy and inviting and the layout is great. We never had an issue with anything at all. Everything was great! We definatly enjoyed our stay the whole week! We went and enjoyed the beaches near by, we had a blast at both the beaches we went to our favorite that would have to be Tiger Beach though. We also did two air boat rides, and walked many nature trails and visted wildlife sanctuarys. We went to nearby resturants and the grocery stores are close too.Over all our week in Marco Island was a great experince all the way around, it was great to go out and do all the fun stuff and come back to such a welcoming home to stay in. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home with us, we hope to visit again sometime in the future and we will defiantly recomend your home to our friends and loved ones. Thanks again

    We are just back from 10 magnificent days spent in Marco Island. We (a family of 4 with two children 10 and 16) really enjoyed the space and comfort of this house. It is spacious, easy to maintain, well equipped and quiet (there were no neighbors during our entire stay). The pool is well heated and great to swim and Jacuzzi very relaxing with a fantastic view over the water and boat deck. Shops are just around the corner and access to public beaches a short 5 minutes drive away (or 20 to 30 minutes by bike). Naples (where there is a lot to do and great places to eat) is only 20 minutes away. We loved our stay and will keep fond memories of these 10 days.Enjoy !

    In more than 20 years of renting vacation condos, villas, and houses, as well as owning Florida homes that we rented as vacation property, this by far was the worst experience my husband and I had. Because our daughter and her family (4 people) were joining us for this trip, we needed a house with at least three bedrooms. Contrary to the VERBO introduction this is a two bedroom home. The so called third bedroom is an office with a double bed, no closet and a small chest of drawers. Because this is next to the living area that has a vaulted ceiling no ceiling and no closets. There is a double bed in this room. The house was built in the 1980’s. Very little renovation has been done since. There are holes in the trim around the sliding glass door from rotting wood which could accommodate a family of rats easily. The furnishings look like they have never been replaced from 20+ years ago. The leather coach in the living room has no spring left. The two televisions are the old CRT styles and are small to fit the cabinets they are in. The so called stereo system is a portable unit and it did not work. The patio furniture are plastic chairs and are very stained and some broken. The first day we got there I had to wash and scrub them but it hardly made any difference because of years of mildew. Beware of the master bedroom shower window made of see through glass blocks. People outside of the shower can see in clearly especially at night with lights on. The “Xero” landscaping means the weeds are over grown and the limbs and leaves all over the yard make the house look like an abandoned home. My husband worked on a whole day cleaning it before our guests arrived. I scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom floors. Other than wiping, it looked like they had not been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. All the bedding with exception of the office bed (sheets, bedspreads, mattresses were old and worn out. The latch to the screened door to the dock was broken and did not shut. If we shut it by force it could not be opened from outside. There were so many things wrong that I could go on and on. We had already paid for a two week rental and knew we could not get our money refunded. So we stayed and made the best of it.

    Owner response: It is most unfortunate these people that lost their vacation home in Florida chose to stay at our home, damage it severely, and then wrote a very inaccurate and degrading comment. The first days of their arrival they had some minor issues which we promptly took care of. They then demanded that my gardener remove 'all yellow leaves from every bush in the yard'. During their stay they stated in writing that they enjoyed our home and made no mention of the issues they falsely mention here. Upon departure they had severely damaged our home by soiling and damaging our couches, broke two pieces of furniture, and soiled bed pillows which they attempted to hide in a bag in the closet. My professional furniture cleaner stated it was the worst they had ever seen. It is unfortunate that the bitterness from their financial problems would be taken out on other homeowners that open their homes to renters. They were one of the worst renters we have ever had in 20 years of renting our home.

    We had the immense pleasure of staying here the last week in September of 2011. My husband and I have been frequent renters in Marco for over 5 years. We come at least twice a year, once in a house big enough for all of us, our daughters, their husbands and their kids and of course hubby and I, and later in the year in a house for just us. Let me advise you that this is one of the nicest houses that we have ever rented!. The owners are super, the property is well appointed, the neighborhood is really nice. The house is located on the intercoastal and each day we saw Dolphins swimming by. As is our custom, we also rented a boat for a couple of days and docked it right outside our kitchen window. The lap pool is great, the hot tub simply wonderful and the house is set up perfectly. Trust me when I say that you will not go wrong renting this house. But always remember that we have first "dibbs" whenever we want to return. When you visit do not forget to go to Snook Inn, go on the Dolphin Explorer and rent a boat from Rose Marco Marina, you simply cannot go wrong.

    Onto Canby Court: I have a more critical eye than most because one of my areas of expertise is in hospitality consulting regarding customer comfort; specifically with higher end hotels, so i tend to expect a little more from folks. I am happy to say I could make a huge list of all the fabulous stuff like the maps and brochures provided, the bicycles, fishing tackle, etc. but the best thing about this home is the owners, Jonathan and Beth. They were welcoming, warm, attentive and caring about all concerns. We had to call them about the tiniest thing and they could not possibly have been more accommodating. You are 3 minutes from publix. 7 minutes from everywhere else including Winn Dixie. Side note: oddly enough on Marco the Winn Dixie is much nicer than the Publix. Back to Canby Court:The water views from this home are just lovely, from the kitchen, living room, dining room and master bedroom, water- water everywhere! At night the neighbors have the canal lit up and it romantic and ever so charming. And one of the best parts of Canby Court? It is quiet. There is land on either side of the home and this offers no loud parties, no loud neighbors. If you are wanting a place to host a loud, obnoxious party then this home is not for you, as you will stick out like a sore thumb. Although for a family with children it couldn't be more perfect. And to put icing on the cake, my deposit was returned lickity split.! Thanks Jonathan and Beth, see you next time!!

    Thanks for sharing your lovley home. The four of us and our pet really loved everything. The home had ever convenience and appliance you could use. It was quiet, peaceful and and a grea place to reach any beach or shopping area. I would highly recommend this home for anyone.

    We have stayed in much better villas in Florida. We holiday in Florida most summers and the villas we have stayed in have always been in pristine condition. The lounge furniture has numerous stains and has seen better days. The bedding in the master bedroom is old and frayed. The lanai furniture is grubby and the pool walls are very worn and unattractive. After several emails and phone calls we eventually got our deposit back 73 days after we vacated even though the lease agreement states 60 days. Overall we had a great time on Marco despite the villa being in need of a complete refurbishment.

    Owner response: In September we deep cleaned, replaced, upgraded, and made numerous improvements to our home. This included changing items that some misrepresent as grubby, old or unattractive. The pool is scheduled to be be redone in December. Our objective is always a positive experience for each client in hopes of making them a repeat client, of which we currently have many. I am always amazed at the lack of honesty and failure of a client to mention any issue they may have until 90+ days after staying at a home. Exaggerated negative comments well after a visit do not allow any opportunity to address any issue a client may have and leads one to conclude that they are insincere in their comments. We have many clients that make constructive comments that lead to a more positive experience for all, that is why they have come back year after year.

    We stayed in July, the house is in a great location but we were disappointed with a few things. First the pool is very worn and my kids did not want to swim in it. The pictures are decieving. The lanai furniture was old and worn as well. We had a hard time adjusting the AC, the main bath is old and dated, but master was very nice.Two of the bikes were not usable at all. Overall we had a nice week. But be warned you have to wait the entire 3 months if not more to receive your deposit! Very frustrating!

    Owner response: It would nice if honesty was conveyed in this review. While the pool is scheduled to be completely reconditioned in November it is still very useable, it just has some staining on the walls that look bad but are not a health risk. The pictures are updated every six months and there is no deception with them or the descriptions. The lanai furniture is new (last 4 months) high quality plastic which I guess some do not like. The A/C equipment is less than two years old and the guests kept trying to incorrectly control it with the humidistat controls despite clearly written and posted instructions. A phone call clarified this and it worked fine thereafter for them. Both bathrooms were completely remodeled 6 years ago, so I guess this is personal taste opinion. The two broken kids bikes were replaced after their visit even though they did not mention this to us at the time. This last part is a flat out lie. We return all deposits within 60 days or less as per lease terms and they received and cashed their check within 60 days not 3 months or more. They rented less than 73 days ago so not sure how they calculated 3 month or more. Dissapointed with this comment's deception. I am glad that they had a good time overall which they said they did when we spoke on the phone regarding their inability to operate the AC correctly.

    We have been very happy the house this week but wanted to let you know of a few things. There is a crack on the bottom of the microwave door and one on the dining room window both were here prior to our arrival. The micro is usable by all means just wanted you to know. The house is very clean and comfortable. Everything else has been really nice. Thank you for the use of your lovely home, we really have enjoyed it!

    Hope you're doing ok? Just letting you know of a few things. I'll start off by saying we enjoyed staying in your beautiful home, and loved Marco Island and hope to return again some day! I never did figure out the air conditioning, so I just cut it off. It was fine the first few days, came back from the beach I believe Tues. and realized it was a bit warm, thats when I called you. Now I understand how the humidstat works. (owner's note: new energy efficient unit was installed last fall) Anyways, we only used the master bedroom, so I don't know if you wanted to touch base w/ your cleaning people, and the sheets for the master bed we cleaned. Thanks again! We had a great wk!

Todd and I biked almost daily and it was a great way to explore the island and work off the coconut crunch pie from The Little Bar or the crunchy french toast from Ne Ne's.     Stayed at this property March 20 - 27, 2010. The house was spacious and exterior nice, but inside did not meet my expectations. Gourmet kitchen: mauve formica countertops, mix and match pots and pans, enough dishes, cups and glasses. Appliances fine. Professionally decorated: left a lot to be desired. Master bedroom: bedding was disgusting and tattered, shower did not work. Reported problem on Sunday, plumber arrived on Friday. Palmetto bugs spotted daily in the house. No beach passes (for parking) provided. Blinds in front bedrooms semi-broken. Window screens did not fit properly, which may have contributed to bug problem. Patio furniture consisted of plastic table and a few plastic chairs. Grill old and out of propane. Owner took full advantage of lease terms, refunding security deposit 60 full days (after a phone call) from check out despite leaving the house in immaculate condition. You could certainly do much better.

    The home was OK and we had a wonderful time but it was not as advertised. The decor was average and the furniture well used. Absentee ownership and deferred maintenance was everywhere evident especially in the hot tub and pool. The third "bedroom" is really a den with no ceiling fan nor closet. For the money there are better choices.

    I hope this can help you. The floors were all clean,and the house was neat. We really did enjoy the house and yes it was unfortunate about the pool not being warm (during the historic cold temperatures in mid 30 degrees). I'm sure the (new)heat blanket will help.If we ever plan to travel to Marco Is again we would use you house . I have also told everyone what a nice place you have and the great time we had there.

    Overall, this is a great house. The owner was very accommodating. We had to make our plans last minute and we didn't have any problems. The house was clean, in a good location, and provided great bikes to tour the island. I caught plenty of snapper and saw both a manatee and dolphin right off the dock. We had a little trouble with the spa and the owner had someone there the next day to fix the problem. I would highly recommend this house.

    We stayed in March 2009. The house was beautiful, even nicer than the pictures. The house was very clean. The cleaning lady used natural cleaning products so not to upset my respiratory allergies. The owner was very easy to deal with. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We used the bbq on the screened lanai. The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac which was perfect for the kids to ride bikes and skateboard. We fished off the dock with the rods provided and actually caught fish. The pool was great for swimming laps. The spa needed some repair on the tiles but other wise worked great. There was plenty of pool toys for the children. Beach chairs and beach toys were provided. The beach was a short drive away. The grocery store was down the street. The next door neighbours were nice to the kids and let them feed their fish. We loved this vacation and are planning to return next year. I would suggest the owner purchase a small shop vac to remove dog hair from the lanai and screens.

    I have been a guest in your house in Sept. 2008, and I like it very much. The house is beautifully decorated and well-equipped, and with a lot of games, toys and water toys it is perfect for families with children. Pool and spa gives a nice refreshment. There is very much space in the house, especially in the living-room, at the pool terrace and in the main sleeping-room, which is, as well as the connected bathroom, a dream. The large kitchen is perfectly equipped. I have missed absolutely nothing. The contact with the owner was excellent, and the property was clean and well-maintained. The describtion was accurate in all matters. The only thing I have to complain is that the fence near the pool at the street side should be fixed, and the CD-player don´t play any CD, and so it is very "picky" in playing CDs. I have enjoyed my time in your house very much. Highly recommendable!

    Our arrival time was uncertain but access to the house went exactly as arranged. The house was prepared well for us and we were not disappointed in our choice of holiday accommodation for our party of three adults. Great to swim 100 lengths in the heated pool before a leisurely breakfast outside in the covered area overlooking the water. Gardeners kept the outside tidy and the pool was attended to regularly. We stayed for three very enjoyable weeks.

    We stayed for three weeks in Decemeber (2006) at this fantastic residence. The house was open, spacious, clean and perfectly located. The property plays host to a spectacular dock, pool and spa that is sure to relax you. The rooms are nicely decorated and supplies are plentiful. It was really much more than we expected. The pictures don't do the property justice. We are planning on making this Marco Island home an annual retreat.

    Five of us stayed in your home for two weeks in September and had a fantastic time, with good weather between hurricanes. It is a quiet area with nice space between neighbours. There is plenty of room and the house has everything you would need from nice big soft towels, kitchen utensils and games to a PC with internet access if you can’t stay away from your e-mail. Please note that the third bedroom has an open ceiling area meaning you can’t make any noise in the living area if people are trying to sleep in there. The pool and hot tub were great, with good privacy, while still providing a nice view out down the canal. There are basic shops just a short drive away with easy access to the mainland. It does not take long to drive up to Naples and beyond with a number of malls and shops. All in all a very relaxing vacation and we would highly recommend this property. We were sad to leave; hopefully we will be back soon.

    We rented your home June 21-28. Your home is wonderful and we enjoyed the peace and quiet along with the view. Although we live on the East coast of FL, we've never spent much time on the West coast and really enjoyed boating/fishing and hunting for shells along the beach. We can't wait to visit again next year.

    I just wanted to thank you for letting us rent your home on Marco. You have a beautiful home and we really enjoyed our stay there. We had perfect weather and enjoyed the pool and spa daily! Out of the three homes we have rented on Marco, yours was our favorite. You are very fortunate to have a wonderful place to go. We may be contacting you again next spring for another chance to stay there. Again, thanks again and if you ever need a recommendation, please feel free to steer them my way.

    Thank you so much for the fax of the payment to our account. That was very prompt of you. The one thing we adored about your home in particular was the lap pool. We had such fun in the pool. Hope all is well with you.

    We returned to the UK on Monday to a very sharp drop in temperature that we are still recovering from. We had a wonderful stay at your house and thank you very much for having us. We would very much like to come again and will contact you sometime in the future.

    Well the vacation is over for another year and 3 weeks in your wonderful home on Marco has recharged our batteries. It is probably the most relaxing vacation we have had. Thank you for letting us stay in paradise.

    We just wanted to thank you for allowing us to share your home is Florida. What a beautiful, relaxing place! I showed the pictures to some people at my office, and they couldn't believe how nice it was. Several have commented that they would like information about renting, which I have given them. After coming home, we both commented it was probably the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. Everything we needed or could have wanted was right there.I'm sure we will do this again in the future and we're planning on 2 weeks next time.
