Location: Lake Burton, Northeast Mountains, Georgia, USA (15 minutes to Clayton, Helen, Appalachian Trail - GA Hwy 76)
Accommodations: Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 7)
[GPS coordinates are N 34 51'52.50", W 83 32'15") for exact location] Beautiful Lake Burton in the mountains of north Georgia is an idyllic setting. Our cabin is located on a very large level lot in a private cove - perfect for swimming, grilling, yard games like croquet or volleyball. You will enjoy over 160 feet of lake frontage with a place to tie your boat and the use of a brand new 12 x 16 ft swim dock.
The two story, 1200 square foot cabin has three bedrooms, two baths, living room, kitchen/dinette, screened porch (with porch swing and picnic table), and a deck. Use of our boat is not included, but you are welcome to use the canoe and tie your boat to the dock cleats. Boat rentals are available from a nearby marina (Anchorage Marine 706-782-3013).
The cabin is comfortable, but not luxurious (see pictures). It is a wonderful place to spend some time and enjoy the serenity and beauty of Lake Burton and the mountains. In addition to all of the available water activities, access to the Appalachian Trail is only minutes away.
Because many people ask... This mountain cabin does have air conditioning plus there are ceiling fans in every room. We don't have television or a dishwasher. If you want to watch movies be sure to bring your own playback equipment. I don't think there is a TV station to even pick up with rabbit ears! We do have a telephone. DSL is available if you request it at the time of your reservation.
