If you looking for a place to reconnect with your family, friends and nature, this is the place for you. Quiet and secluded, Pago Tchi Gashag (Pago) welcomes you to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
The cottage, nestled in the woods, sits on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, with an occasional eagle flying by at eye level. A few steps away, on the beach, you can enjoy long beach walks, swimming, or a beautiful sunset in the evening. You can watch for passing freighters and the four lighthouses at a distance.
If you desire an outing, Cross Village is one-point-two miles down the road with an art gallery, Legs Inn restaurant and bar, a deli and a convenience store/gas station. Crow's Nest restaurant/bar is another couple miles down the road. Twenty minutes to the north is Mackinac Island and its amenities to choose from. Twenty minutes to the south is the Harbor Springs area with Boyne Highlands and other golf courses to choose from. If you are a bicyclist, M-119 right off the driveway, is a favorite of many riders.
A stop at a local bait shop will help you locate the hot fishing spots among the many surrounding inland lakes and Lake Michigan. Many local marinas rent boats if you choose to be on the water for a day.
No matter what your choice of activities, after a busy day, relaxing with the view of a Lake Michigan sunset, a beach fire, lighthouse beacons in the distance, and the company of those you love, enjoying the Pago beach is a great way to say goodnight after another great day. |
