'Thank you. We just got home and we had a fantastic time!
Overall, we had a fantastic trip! -(There could have been more light in the living room)- We noticed that the hot tub was new (not the same square one in the pictures), it worked well. It was SO relaxing to sit under the stars and enjoy a beer/glass of wine!...Thank you again for a wonderful cabin. We definitely will be back!.....TJ, San DIego....June 2012

'...we loved your Cabin!, feels big for a 1 bedroom and the 2 baths made it perfect for us, the location was ideal My husband loved the hot tub. for me it was the heated bathroom floor and breakfast at Fireside...see you next year! Erdrich family NYC.'

'...Soooo romantic and cozy...the fireplace is awesome and we loved the heated bathrm floor. Drinks on Sunnyside deck and rented boat...being set back from the road was a nice plus but we passed it when we first arrived, you should put the address on the street, otherwise perfect-o...x Mimi J, Lake Forest, Ill'

Cozy cabin, just the right size for 1-2 people! Nice updated kitchen area, and well-stocked with the necessities. I had trouble with the internet, but the hostess was incredibly responsive and got it back up and running as soon as they were able. For a quiet getaway from the hub-bub, I would stay here again.

It was a perfect stay for our honeymoon. Quite, yet not reclusive and the fireplace was a perfect touch! The loft upstairs was comfortable and the space heater made it extra warm. The appliances were all new and in excellent condition. We couldn't have had a better stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous Tahoe cabin. It was cosy, rustic and comfy, and we can truly recommend it. Everything was clean and spotless, the kitchen was well-equipped and all you needed was there. The deck with barbeque and fireplace was great, and we also enjoyed the hot tub with view to treetops and stars very much! The cabin is located close to Tahoe City with good shopping options and beautiful scenery. It is a fantastic place for relaxing and enjoying nature, peace and quiet. The owner is very friendly and accommodating and answered all out enquires promptly by email. We would be more than happy to come back and stay in this amazing cabin. Thank you very much for a fantastic stay in Tahoe!

We had a wonderful time at this little cabin. It is a great location for any activity. The Firesign Cafe in walking distance is great! The cabin was clean and comfortable and very cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub! Brenda was very easy to work with and always gave us prompt attention. We truly enjoyed our weekend at this cabin and would happily come back.

This cute cabin was very comfortable and convenient for us - a moderately active middle aged couple. The owner is very prompt about answering email/phone calls and the cabin was easy to find. Place was very clean & in good repair; both baths have obviously been renovated fairly recently, and the kitchen appliances seem new. Interior is old-style knotty pine, which I find charming, some might not. Hot tub is nice! We had dinner on the deck all but one night--the kitchen has the essentials but no fancy tools. Although you can see neighboring homes & hear traffic on the main road, it still felt fairly private, and we did feel comfortable just hanging out and reading. You can take a quiet walk in the neighborhood. Bedroom is a little dim--enough light to read by but a little hard to see your clothes in the closet/bureau. I would definitely recommend the property to others. Our favorite activites nearby - the zipline/treetop adventure course at Granlibakken; dinner at Christy Hill; the Rubicon trail along Emerald Bay.

We stayed here for one week and loved it. The cabin itself is quaint but modern, and has everything you will need. We loved the deck area out the back, with the grill and hot tub (our favorite!). It's location is perfect, far enough away from Tahoe City to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere yet close enough to visit for dinner and drinks. We would definitely stay here again!

We spent the 2nd half of our Honeymoon in this cute chalet and loved every minute of it. It was exactly what we were looking for; quiet, close to restaurants, included a hot-tub, and a quick drive to Tahoe City. Brenda was quick to respond to any questions and the place was super clean when we arrived.

My sister and I spent the week of 4th of July here. It was perfect for the two of us. Short distance to Tahoe City which we loved. The cabin is very quaint and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the hot tub out back as well. Brenda the owner was very helpful and always available if we needed her. I would definitely recommend this rental to friends or family.

We LOVED this cabin and it made our trip to Tahoe so enjoyable. We would heartily recommend this for couples or families of no more than 4 people. Our initial contact to rent Brenda's cabin was excellent. She responded promptly (via email) and was very accommodating. The cabin was perfect for my wife, myself, and our two boys (ages 9 and 15). Our 15 year old slept on the couch (never used the sleeper there) and my 9 year old preferred an airbed we brought with us. The cabin had a nice comfy down comforter for the boys that they really enjoyed cuddling under while we watched movies on the TV. There's cable and wifi and the electronics were easy to figure out (instructions were written down), new and very nice. The upstairs bed was a huge king sized bed that my wife and I enjoyed getting a good nights sleep in. The kitchen, like the rest of the cabin, was a small, simple affair but still came with everything you could need and was in good working condition. The kitchen looked like it had gone through a bit of an upgrade with a granite countertop and nice stove, sink, dishwasher and refrigerator. The downstairs bathroom looked brand new and was very nicely done with a stackable washer and dryer (a real boon with two boys). The upstairs bathroom was a tight fit for me (6'-1") but still was still usable. The spa was an added treat and looked very clean and well cared for. The cabin was within walking distance to the beach, a market and a couple of great restaurants. We were located just off the main road and about 5 minutes from Tahoe City prime. We never heard any road noise and the access was very easy. This isn't one of the brand new, "pretend cabins" that line the water's edge around Tahoe. This is a true Tahoe cabin in that great tradition of "getting away" from the standard home you're used to and immersing yourself in something that's comfortable, well thought out but still heralds a simpler time and slower pace. It's small but cozy and really made our family trip a memorable experience. When we come back this will be our "go-to" place to stay. Thank you Brenda for your care and attention that you've taken with the cabin!

We were looking for something small and cozy, but not too rustic. This cabin was perfect! Just enough modern upgrades with the new hot tub was perfect for what we were looking for. Communication with the owner was outstanding with quick response. A perfect getaway for a couple celebrating their anniversary. Convenient walking location to the Firesign Cafe (a must for breakfast). Tahoe city is the place to be on Lake Tahoe. Thank you so much to the owners for letting us live a piece of the good life for a few days. Will definitely rent again!

About the owner: We are a family of 5 with 3 girls that enjoys this place every day it is not rented. We have been coming to Tahoe to ski in the winter and Boat, Kayak, Stand-up-paddle, bike ride, raft, and horse back ride since the Day we were engaged across the street on the beach on July 4th. We still use the house any night it is not rented out and the kids LOVE it, LOVE it, LOVE it!. The county still lists it as a 2-bedroom, but really it's an XL 1br with 2 baths & a half of an acre lot. There is one house next door, then the main road and then a massive mansion on the beach and a few house more and Sunnyside Resort gleams in the sun as a beacon of fun and laughs. We park the car Friday and leave til Sunday

                          Why the Owner Chose Sunnyside:
LOCATION!, LOCATION!, LOCATION!, and most of all, LOCATION!. Huge lot (1/2 acre) and 2 bathrooms. Most homes up here have 2-3 bedrooms and only 1 bath. This has a huge bedroom upstairs and 2 bathrooms to shower and bath in. Meanwhile we are 2 houses in from the main road and walk to the beach, bike path, Popular Sunnyside resort, and Fire Sign restaurant. Walk to rent a kayak, jet ski or boat. We park the car Friday and leave til Sunday. Not a mansion but a cozy Tahoe cabin built the way they were meant to be.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
This House was the FIRST Bert Anderson and is THE 'Classic Tahoe' cabin, with all the modern updates you need but not losing the feel and charm of the day it was built in 1951. Heated bathroom floor, Bathroom and shower upstairs with new bath and bathroom downstaris, tankless water heater for endless heated water. Large back deck of privacy with massive pine trees. It is set back from the road unlike most. loads of room to park cars and boat trailer and more
