We (4 persons) stayed at this beautiful villa for about a week and already thinking about coming back! Nice and cozy villa with 3 spacious bedrooms and showers in each one, one minute walk to the beach, 2 minute walk to the fishermen's village and fantastic beach with white sand and turquoise water. Jennifer, housekeeper and a cook, is a wonderful host who made us feel in Jamaica right at home. She showed us around the area and introduced to few of the locals. She also took us to the market in Falmouth where we were able to witness jamaican flavorful and colorful everyday life. We had a taste of famous dishes such as: ackee with saltfish, jerked chicken, freshly caught fish with fishtea (delicious soup) along with various fruit drinks and cocktails. Everything tasted amazing, Jennifer cooks whatever you wish and does it very well! Also, everything was cleaned and washed daily, your bed is made, your bathroom is cleaned, meal is prepared and you are completely taken care of. The villa is 100 jamaican dollars (80 cents) and 3 minutes away from little town, Duncan, with supermarket and bakery (highly recommended beef patties and dough with cheese and strawberries). The fruits are cheap and delicious, people are warm and friendly, the weather is perfect: not cold and not hot, just right (we were in January). You can have a quiet relaxing time with few local cafes around (check Saturday reggae nights at Leroy's) or you can go to Montego Bay and Blue Mountains or snorkling and fishing with locals. If you're thinking about your jamaican vacation, stop thinking and come to Palm villa!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Palm Villa is suitated in a beautiful breathtaking region of Duncans Bay only 2 minutes from the beach. The Villa accommodates 4-6 people with opulent cooking facilities. The Villa includes a gardner and a housekeeper/cook by the name of Jennifer who will prepare the various dishes of the Island to stimulate you taste buds. Some of the dishes you will sample are; Ackee n' Saltfish Jerk Chicken Jerk Pork Baked Lobster Escovish Fish Run Down (made with Salted Mackrel and freshly grated coconut) Having spent my second vocation at Palm Villa, I highly recommend that spending time there will be one of your most memorable experience of Jamaica.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Wow! My heart kept singing with pure delight and gratitude after being @ The Villa for 10 days! Ahh! I knew I was home from the moment I arrived; the beautiful flowers outside spoke 'welcome' as well as the well kept yard. On leaving, after a most refreshing stay, the song was more 'sweeter.' Wow! Once inside this cozy getaway I knew my stay would be the most refreshing...and it was! Thanks to the site manager who also prepared the most delicious meals all through the stay. I had no need to eat out. All this made it a joy to welcome company over, visiting from the USA as well. They too immediately fell in love with the Villa, the 2 minute walk to the beautiful beach and even enjoyed great conversation with the fishermen there. Just strolling around this scenic locale was a joy! I felt safe day and night. At 5:30 a.m. I was out walking for miles and going for a swim before breakfast oftentimes outside in the cool of the morning. There was time to venture further into nearby places, like Duncan's town center to the supermarket, the beautiful and historic Falmouth, the Capitol city of the parish of Trelawney and take the 40 minute drive to the city of Montego Bay which boasts a 1st class international airport. Everytime I'd go out my eyes were drawn to the lush, green, rolling hills and the beautiful, blue Caribbean Sea...you just couldn't get enough. Like any where else in the world there are communities along the way that are economically challenged. Yet, the beauty was the warm welcome of Jamaicans on the streets, the shopping places and in the churches I visited on Sunday and during the week. Wow! Palm Villa was home; inviting and welcoming with access to the beauty of Duncans Bay and Jamaica. More especially, it afforded the refreshing experience of home that made the song in my heart a delight and joy. Wow! Palm Villa is more than a 5 star experience, for whether an individual, a couple, family or any combination. You will be sure to experience a refreshing stay....Wow!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

In May four of us spent a relaxing three day vacation at picturesque "Palm Villa". The property was beautiful and in immaculate condition, really clean and very accomodating. The Each room has it's own bathroom and counting the convertible bed could sleep 6-8 people. The linen closets were fully stocked with all the linens needed and the kitchen had utensils, and dinnnerware. . We were greeted with a hearty Jamaican welcome, by the property manager and a delicous meal had been prepared, we really felt pampered. Duncan's Bay is scenic, tranquil and the white sand beach is great! The historic town of Falmouth is nearby which has a new cruise ship port, grand court house, which we visited and several restaurants. This is idea for families as well as adult groups. Next time we plan to bring the grandchildren.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My husband and I stayed at the Palm Villa, Duncans Bay, a private accommodation for our wedding anniversary. The modern Villa is a beautiful accommodation only 3 minutes walk from the local beach, which includes a cook and a gardener. The local people are very fiendly and courteous who are always willing to stop for a chat and share a joke. We sampled the local tradition of freshly baked lobster and roast fish caught by the local fisher men. Jenny the cook, is very friendly, pleasant and helpful, who will do all she can to make you feel welcomed. Some of her specialities are: Baked crab Curried lobster Jerked chicken Jerked pork Ackee and saltfish Vegetarian dishes on request is also available. We sampled freshly made juices made for local fruit such as: Mango Passion fruit Pineapple Soursop Carrot Papaya My husband and I, will certainly be returning later this year having enjoyed such hospitality. Why the Owner Chose Duncans:
I was looking for a plece of rest and relaxation and visited Duncans Bay for the first time in 1992.The tranquility, proximity to the beach, the sound of the sea from my bedroom, and the nature walks made it the perfect place to get away from the stress and strin of every day work. I bought the villa in 1993 and it's as been my home away from home ever since.
There are a combination of factors create the atmosphere at Duncans Bay : the fisherman with the daily fresh catch of fish, lobster, and crabs. The area abounds with talented Jamaica artists doing their wood carvings in the nearby craft shop: Desmond - the wicker worker who made my dining chairs. Nelson Fisher - the talented painter, a native son of the trelawny, who does landscapes and still - life acrylic painting. Several pieces of his work are hanging on the wall in the villa.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The peacefulness which allow me to stay on the beach or my front lawn and read a book all day makes it the perfect getaway for me.
