Beautiful spot in a great neighborhood
Beautiful spot in a great neighborhood
We loved staying here! The apartment is so comfortable, and includes all the amenities you could ever want in a vacation spot. The owners are very nice and welcoming, and they've done everything possible to make vacationers feel at home. It was certainly a treat to be able to go for a swim, too. The Queen Anne neighborhood is a really nice area, with lots of good restaurants. We chose to walk straight up the hill and feel like we earned our dinner! Overall, a great place for a relaxing stay, and I can't recommend it enough.

Owner response: Emily, Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your experience with other travelers. We're delighted you had good weather and a great stay and would love to see you again. We enjoy this business primarily because it gives us the opportunity to meet people like you!
The apartment was beautiful, modern and has all the amenities needed. Location does require a car. There is not much within walking distance. The view from the pool deck is very nice, however, pool water is pretty chilly. Bedrooms could use some type of fan to circulate air as the bedroom doors need to be closed for privacy. There are no window coverings in the main room/kitchen.

Owner response: We note to guests in our printed material that if they want the pool warmer, we will employ the solar cover. If you want water temperature above the 80 degrees we heat it to, we suggest using the cover at night or when the pool is not in use. Regarding drapes: overwhelmingly people say they prefer an unobstructed view so that's how we furnish it. The view looking in from the pool is to the great room and not to the bedrooms. The yard is private, fenced and shaded from all outside view. Both bedrooms have opening windows which provide good ventilation. As a result of your comment, we have added fans to the apartment inventory. It is hilly here, but there is much to walk to within just a few blocks. It does require that you be able or willing to walk uphill. Shopping is within a six block walk. For those who don't want a car and don't wish to walk, the bus stop is one block away. Unlimited free parking is always available. The neighborhood is ideal for a stroll anytime, something most of our guests positively comment on in their reviews.
No Better Place Than This In Seattle!
No Better Place Than This In Seattle!
From the moment we stepped in the door, we could not stop gushing over how gorgeous the place is. The furnishing and appliances are top of the line and the finishings are impeccable. We met Lew and Lindy the day after we arrived. They could not have been any nicer and their hospitality while we were there cannot be beat. Their restaurant choices were spot on. The Via Tribunali pizza was amazing and Coleen the server was awesome. The Macrina Bakery on McGraw has the best pastries I have had in years. The beds were heavenly and the pillows too. We stayed at two other places in other towns on this trip and none of the beds compared to theirs. You have to stay just for the good night's sleep (Manny is a very welcome lovable surprise. Leave your window open. You will find out!) We walked everywhere but just know that Seattle is a very very very challenging hilly place but their neighborhood is the best one in Seattle. Unbelievably Stunning! I could write so much more but I want you to experience it for yourself. We have talked about Lew and Lindy's every day since we left so you know it was a very positive experience. Stay there. No lie. It is worth it.

I hope your review informs travelers about our property, but more importantly, we're thrilled you enjoyed your stay. It was just great to meet you and be your hosts for a "too short" four days! Come back soon, and we'll look forward to seeing you again when our travels take us to Florida.
Perfection on Queen Anne
Perfection on Queen Anne
We have been staying in this VRBO for several months. The apartment and its facilities are as advertised. The pictures do not do it justice -- while they are accurate, they cannot convey how lovely the place is. The spaces are extremely well thought out. The amenities, appliances and features are all new and first rate. The apartment is impeccably maintained and spotless. The beds are excellent as well . The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and shops. Its a beautiful neighborhood with parks close by and walking routes with incredible views. We like it so much that we reserved it again for some time this fall. We joke that we could easily become permanent fixtures there. If you need a two bedroom apartment in Seattle near all the attractions, with great interiors and lovely outdoor spaces, we can recommend Lindy and Lew's apartment without the least reservation.

Lovely, thoughtful home.
Lovely, thoughtful home.
This home is beautiful, well-designed, impeccably maintained and thoughtfully stocked with helpful items. The views are gorgeous, and we found the location to be a perfect base from which to explore the city. And the beds!!! Wow - they are seriously comfortable. Quite lovely, indeed. Do note that the owners live in the unit upstairs. They were entirely respectful of our privacy, but we did hear them up above us at times. It wasn't a problem for us (and doesn't move this review down a notch), but I thought I should mention it as it could potentially bother some travelers. A really great place.

A magnificent home, perfect location for us. We felt totally relaxed and "at home". The owners are very gracious and accomodating. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, everything clean and in excellent condition. Our mobility challenged parents were very comfortable and felt safe and secure while moving around. The designated parking place on the street was greatly appreciated. I would not hesitate to return here again.

Owner response: Leigh and Tony, Thanks for your positive review. It was a great pleasure having you here and enjoying all of your company. You made it fun!
This is a wonderful little apartment in the heart of a beautiful residential neighborhood. We were 2 couples staying in this wonderfully appointed apartment. We felt like we had plenty of room and privacy even though the apartment is small. The visual and traffic flow between the apartment and the pool are outstanding ... we felt like we were in a luxurious resort. It as a joy to be there nightly to watch the sunset over the ocean. The kitchen was lovely to work in (breakfasts only as there are fabulous restaurants within walking), took a lot of cues from it for my own home that is under construction. The beds are on the firm side for those of you who have an affinity for a certain type of mattress. Several unexpected highlights for us was visiting with the wonderful pets of Lew and Lindy (homeowners), and walking the neighborhood, amazing heritage architecture all around. Lew was highly informative about the areas amenities (eateries) and very enjoyable to visit with. We were there without a vehicle and walked everywhere. We enjoyed the exercise ... allowed us to eat more!:-) however it is not for the faint of heart, tons of hills/stairs. It took as about 45 minutes to walk downtown however there is a lovely area about 10-15 minutes away with lots of restaurants (not much shopping). We would stay here again and would recommend it highly.

FABULOUS IN QUEEN ANNE
FABULOUS IN QUEEN ANNE
My husband and I and another couple stayed here for 4 nights and we fell in love with the spotless and exquisitely furnished apartment, the delightful and gorgeous Queen Anne neighborhood, the City of Seattle and our warm and welcoming hosts. The apartment is private, thoughtfully designed, appointed with true quality and your comfort in mind at every turn, no ammenities are lacking. The view out the french doors over the pool and across to Puget Sound is beautiful and the patio provides a nice respite after a day out exploring. The location is close enough to downtown yet far enough away from the noise of the city. The Queen Anne neighborhood is an absolute gem offering walkable streets filled with beautiful homes, wonderful restaurants, shops, stores, bakeries and coffee houses. An absolutely beautifully maintained property with helpful and friendly hosts. Can't wait to return.....thank you Lew and Lindy!

Owner response: Claire and Dan! We had so much fun with you, and enjoyed your company to no end. We have worked hard to make this place a special retreat in the city, and to give it the full range of amenities we think we would like to have when we travel. It is a thrill to hear from experienced, sophisticated travelers that we covered the bases as we had hoped to. I'm also happy that you enjoyed our suggestions about where to eat. Your energy and enthusiasm were infectious! I said we were sad that you were leaving, and so we were as we have made new friends in you both. We'll certainly see you when we get to SD, and look forward to eating in Chris and Mary's restaurant as well. Best regards from Lindy and me to both of you. Thank you so much for taking the time to write down your impressions for other travelers who may be considering a stay in Seattle. Queen Anne does charm well!
Great location, great hosts, great architecture, great view, great pool... this was the perfect location for us as our home base in visiting the Seattle during a recent family vacation. I (actually my whole family) highly recommend this property.
