Great place for our family vacation
Great place for our family vacation
We stayed at The Belmont cabin in July of 2012. It was perfect for my husband and I and our two kids, ages 6 & 9. While we did not spend a lot of time at the cabin because there is SO MUCH to do in the Black Hills, we did enjoy coming back to our little cabin at the end of each day. It was a very hot summer, and I had some concerns about no air conditioning. I should not have worried! This cabin is surrounded by the pine trees and it cooled off every evening, just like the nice lady (Kari) at the reservation's office said it would. It was nice to have a kitchen so we could eat breakfast before taking off for the day, and for keeping food for our lunches and dinner. One night, we just got pizza and brought it back to the cabin and spent a cozy night watching movies on the TV. While this cabin is "rustic and REAL log", it has some nice modern amenities. We were very thankful for the TV! We hope to make it back again soon; if not next summer at least within another two years.
