This great family house is back on the rental market after being renovated by new owners. The home was professionally decorated like a model beach home! Potterybarn furnishings and decor. We hope you are among the first to enjoy our beautiful California beach home.
Located in the Faria Beach Community on the sands of your own private beachfront. The community has a tennis court, children's playground and grassy park. There is your own private staircase right down to the sand. The beach right in front of our home is usually totally empty making it feel like your own private beach. Great for families with small children. It's easy to keep an eye on them when you have the beach to yourselves!
LOCATION: Conveniently located near Santa Barbara, Carpenteria and Ventura, just off the 101 freeway. We are 65 miles north of LA, about 20 minutes south of Santa Barbara and just 5 minutes from downtown Ventura and Carpenteria. A bike path right out front takes you on an ocean front ride into downtown Ventura in just 10 minutes for a fantastic breakfast. Visit downtown Ventura for a wide selection of dining-you won't be disappointed with this charming street and great variety of restaurants.
This is a beautiful, California Bungalow style two-story home located off the famous Pacific Coast Hwy on Faria Beach. It is classic California beach living at its best. Enjoy stunning ocean views from the huge deck, family room, kitchen, and upstairs MASTER SUITE. The ocean in the morning is captivating, it is hard to do anything other than drink your coffee on the master suite balcony or large backyard deck and watch the crashing waves! You will also spot dolphins and seals play in the morning waves right in front of you, with the view of the Channel Islands, and gorgeous sunsets right in your own backyard. There is so much to do in the immediate surrounding area yet you will want to be home every evening to watch the sun go down while waves splash just feet away. It is incredible! The backyard has a spacious patio with a bbq, outdoor shower, dining table for all your al' fresco meals and a very large deck perfect for relaxing and laying out. Also on the deck, ocean front, is a hot tub!
FAMILY ROOM: The family room has a full size sofa, 2 oversized chairs that provides plenty of seating to enjoy each others company, watch a movie and relax. A large sliding glass door provides a spacious flow between the indoors and outdoors. The family room is equipped with a large flat screen television with surround sound, direct tv/blu-ray/netflix and WiFi.
KITCHEN: The kitchen is located right next to the family room. Equipped with beautiful new custom cabinetry, granite countertops and new appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking wants and needs. Our country kitchen style lends perfectly to the large dining table in the center perfect for family meals or hours of card games. For anyone not thrilled about doing dishes, especially on vacation-you may just love it here with a large picture window right in front of the kitchen sink-even dishes are no longer a chore with a view like that to distract you!
BEDROOMS & BATH: Off the main family room and kitchen are the 3 downstairs bedrooms. The first bedroom a cozy retreat for one couple or a group of kids is equipped with a twin over full bunkbed with a twin pull out below. You can sleep between 3 comfortably-or 4 packed in. The second room downstairs has a queen size bed. Sleeps 2. The third bedroom downstairs has a queen size bed. Sleeps 2. All bedrooms have new flat screen televisions, luxurious duvets and fine linens on the beds to provide the ultimate in comfort.
There is a large bathroom downstairs off the living room with a spacious shower, travertine floors and a vanity. There is plenty of space to use as a changing room.
A washer and dryer are available in the 3rd bedroom- concealed behind doors.
MASTER SUITE: The master suite upstairs is expansive and charming. With an entire wall of windows looking out to a view up and down the coast in both directions, the channel islands straight ahead and the surf right below, the view is stunning! A large brand new sliding door opens to the spacious deck. Enjoy the sound of crashing waves right out your bedroom slider.
With a new king bed, wall-mounted flat screen and a great sitting area including a sofa bed (with a queen size pull-out) and occasional chairs, in front of a large ocean view window- it is a perfect spot for relaxing or watching the sunrise or sunset. If you have to bring your work with you...there is a large desk perfect for your laptop so you can get down to business... which won't be so bad with a view of the entire ocean in front of you as you work! There is also an en suite bathroom in the MASTER SUITE with a shower. This bedroom is very large and can easily hold a family of four who prefer to keep there small children close by. Sleeps 2-4
SURF & SAND: This home has one of California's finest surf breaks right in the front yard. Mondo's point is just to the right and Rincon Beach near by. When the tide is out you can walk up and down the coast searching for shells, exploring the tides for hours! Paddle boarding, kayaking, body boarding and swimming right in your back yard. If you love to fish, there is fantastic fishing right off the backyard deck!

Delightful on every level. Loved the soothing decor. Each guest room as inviting as the next. But the ocean just outside your door. Beyond amazing. The power of the waves at high tide viewed from the warmth of the jucuzzi, priceless. The tide pools blanketed with starfish, and all other forms of sea life, a sight to behold during low tide. Cooking, sunning, laughing late into the night under the stars serenaded by pound surf. We have stayed in V.R.V.O properties all over the world, both large and small. This property remains a favorite. We will return often. Loved the welcome bottle of wine and guest waters in each room. Owners were a delight to deal with.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

What a great home. Everything was ready for our arrival. Everything worked perfectly. This vacation home is decorated beautifully. We were all so relaxed and rested. Would have loved to spend another week had it been available. This beach house is absolutely fantastic. We stayed with two other families so we had a lot of kids in the house. Plenty of room for everyone and lots to do. The house itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. Yet, still very warm and livable. It was stocked with all the amenities you would need. It was very, very clean. We enjoyed many meals in the kitchen that we cooked or BBQ'd. The kids had a blast playing on the beach right down the stairs at low tide and then at high tide the kids played on the deck in the sandpit, flying kites, and making s'mores in the firepit. The adults enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi once the kids went to bed. The owners were absolutely nice as can be :). With the sunsets, the walks along the beach, the sound of the waves crashing at night, and the warm California sun it was a perfect weekend. It was fun for the whole family. What a getaway! On the water. When the tide is in, pounding surf that sprays while you are in the hot tub. When the tide is out your own beach, soft sand, shallow breaks, kids and grandkids playing... Idyllic. And then the house, luxuriously fitted, it evilly entices you to not go outside. OK, so I wax poetic. But this stay was very very nice. The owners were accessible, helpful and generous. The locale is somewhere to want to relocate to. The only bad thing is wrapping it up and going back to the grindstone. Alas!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The pictures don't do this house any justice..... It was way better than we even imagined. I stayed here with my boyfriend for his birthday, and we enjoyed every minute. The place feels clean, new, and is decorated super cute. The kitchen was stocked with enough cooking tools and supplies to cook all sorts of meals. The jacuzzi out on the deck was the favorite spot to be at sunset, with a drink in hand! And if you're in to surfing, there's some great spots walking distance from the house. I'd recommend this rental to anyone, and definitely hope to return very soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This home is immaculate! The pictures cannot possibly share how amazing this home is, we had two families each with two children and there was plenty of space for all! The kitchen had everything you would ever need! The location was perfect and very close to Mondos surf break! We rented kayaks and paddle boards from the local sporting store and were able to launch from directly in front of the home. My kids played in the jacuzzi and sand box when it was high tide and we roasted marshmallows over the fire at night. Planning our next vacation here next year too!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This home is absolutely gorgeous!! As soon as you walk in, you feel like you've stepped into a model home. You will immediately notice the breath taking ocean views!! I loved walking out to the deck each morning to drink my coffee and watch the sunset each night. The kids loved the Jacuzzi on the deck. The ocean views are amazing!! It felt like you were actually on the ocean, almost like you were on a cruise ship! This home had everything you need in the kitchen, bedrooms, huge plasma screens, linens, etc. We loved going to the cute surf shops that locals only knew. We really liked how we can walk down to the beach to surf! Our whole family had such a great time. You can't ask for better location than this home! We would recommend this home to everyone! Thank you! The house is absolutely beautiful. We loved every second of it. Thank you for letting us use the surf board and boogie boards. And the hot tub is fantastic! Especially under the stars with the water splashing. Definitely a form of paradise. Thank you for the champagne, although we don't drink :) But the sunset was absolutely lovely with our lemonade in the wine glasses. Thank you for the maids as well! The house looked amazing when we arrived. As we were leaving I hoped we didn't leave too much work for them... Why the Owner Chose Ventura:
Though we have always lived in Southern California, we love to visit Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas. We've always been fascinated with this area. We had driven by these beach homes our whole lives and never dreamed that one day we would have one of our own. Having traveled far and wide we have to say this is truly one of the most relaxing destinations in the world! There is so much to explore in the surrounding area-the possibilities are endless.

Loving a beautifully decorated home, we went all out making this the most beautiful home you will find on this stretch of beach. New and modern is nice but can't beat the charm of a California beach bungalow. We had a lot of fun preserving as much vintage charm from this almost 100 year old home. Though, modern conveniences were a must! Yet what everyone can't get over once they enter the front gate and walk down the path to the backyard-the view! It is incredible. Being this close to the ocean has the most peaceful and relaxing effect-we can't get enough of it. We think you will agree!
