We shared this lovely property with another family and we all enjoyed our time there. The tower rooms (two bedrooms and 3/4 bath on top floor, den with sleeper sofa on bottom floor) made a perfect, private suite for their family of 4 with two young boys while we had privacy and room to spare with the remaining accommodations. The central living areas were open and flowing so we could easily interact while pursuing different activities. The outdoor spaces were easily accessible from the central living area and every morning we enjoyed an al fresco breakfast overlooking the vineyard. The other family visited many of the San Diego attractions while we relaxed and enjoyed the wine country ambiance. This property is right on the wine trail, so there were plenty of wine tasting opportunities as well as fine dining in the immediate vicinity. It is difficult to find a spacious rental that allows entertaining but this one not only allows entertaining but facilitates it. The best feature of this property was the friendly, prompt and willing service we received from the winery staff. This is the only rental on the vineyard so we received immediate attention on every detail. We use a vacation rental every year and we have never received this level of service. We highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

Although it was a short 45 minute drive from our San Clemente home, we felt worlds away as we drove up the path to the estate home overlooking the lush vineyards, pavilion and wine tasting room. Nestled between horse and wine country along the picturesque De Portola Road in Temecula Valley, Keyways Vineyard & Winery reflects the warmth, charm and ambiance of an early California mission. The estate home, which features seven bedrooms and 3.5 baths, a gourmet kitchen, boasts beautiful vineyard views, a pool and spa and is ideally located minutes away from wineries, restaurants, horseback riding, hot air balloons and of particular interest to my mother, who loves to play video poker, Pechanga Casino. Another perk was being able to go wine tasting and then walk back up to the house. The staff at the Keyways Winery tasting room are extremely friendly and knowledgeable (ask for Michelle). We would definitely recommend this vacation home for family vacations or family/friends traveling together. There was plenty of space to spread out, the fully outfitted kitchen was a favorite place to congregate and our kids in particular made great use of the pool. The staff and management were very responsive to inquiries during the booking process - super friendly and a pleasure to work with. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable vacation!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

About the owner: Keyways Winery, founded in 1989 by Mr. Carl Key, was one of the original wineries that established Temecula Valley Wine Country. The entire estate was renovated inside and out, as well as re-landscaped by Deborah Daniel & Terri Delhamer, the former owner. The property now under new ownership & management reflects the warmth, charm and ambiance of an early California mission winery nestled in the vineyards, surrounded by picturesque mountains and expansive horse ranches. The Estate House has be transformed into a dream rental with 7 rooms & large windows overlooking the Estate Vineyards.
Why the Owner Chose Temecula:
A few years ago when going to Fallbrook to view a property, we got lost and then met a local realtor who brought us to Temecula Wine Country and thus made us fall in love with a beautiful place called Temecula wine country; the adventure turned out to be a destination called 'Keyways Vineyard and Winery' years later.
This great property not only offers charming and romantic ambiance to visitors, great wine tasting experience to wine lovers, but also memorable lodging opportunity for those who wants to enjoy a few days or weeks of winery and vineyard living . This particular vineyard estate house was also in a Hollywood Movie called ' A weekend in the country' .
Now we are more than happy to share this nature's beauty with you and more people.
