If you are looking for a great view, nice furniture, comfy beds and you get to bring your dog, then Sea-Lantro is the place. We had a great weekend relaxing on the large balcony overlooking the bay. Pointe West is far off the beaten path but worth it if you are looking for a quiet place to stay.. This is one of the best condos we've stayed in and we will be back.

I have never been so comfortable at another place be it hotel or anywere. I am a clean freak anyone who knows me know I like thing neat and clean and I found that at this condo. This made my stay a very happy stay. I would diffently recommend and I will be back.

Great Time with the grand kids

Sea-Lantro is a great condo. We had a great time with our 4 grand kids. Everything about the condo in the VRBO write up was right on, we really enjoyed the view of the bay and wetlands. We did have an issue with the refrigerator that Tony got resolved on Sunday. We were very pleased with Tony and his quick response to all our emails before and during our stay. Although the the condo was great, we were not so pleased with the Beach Club staff. We checked in on Sunday and got the wrist bands, but were not told the codes were changing Sunday night. This was very frustrating on Monday having 4 kids (6 and under) at the lazy river pool gate which would not open. I called the Beach Club office and found out about the code change. The Beach Club staff would not give us the code over the phone and we had to load up the kids in the van and drive to the Beach Club to get new wrist bands. Given the poor service of the Beach Club, I would hesitate to return except for Tony's condo and quiet surroundings.

It was awesome!!! We loved it there the pool, hot tub, beach was wonderful the kids loved it. The condo was great too, very clean with all that we needed, super cute décor :) A very relaxing, peaceful place. We will definitely be back!!

What a beautiful home.This place is immaculately clean! The kitchen is the best stocked of any place we've ever stayed and the furnishings were first class. I cannot say enough about the views of the Bay and wet lands. The birds and other wildlife were very abundant and the balcony was extremely peaceful and tranquil. We definitely will return and highly recommend this home.

Tony and Karen, you have a lovely home we really enjoyed our stay there . The condo is very nicely appointed and well stocked the whole points west resort is nicely done . I loved the bay side porch spent a lot of time there looking at the wildlife and walking on the beach . would definitely stay again thanks again.

Pointe West is by far the best place to stay in Galveston. The pictures barely begin to describe how beautiful the view is from Sea Lantro. It was more than accommodating with a full kitchen and comfortable furniture, felt like a home away from home! I was able to take my dog and enjoy a few days of rest and relaxation. Tony and Karen were great hosts and fabulous to deal with. I would recommend them and Pointe West and will most definitely be returning!

This Condo deserves a ten star rating. The owners were so easy and pleasant to work with. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend at Sea-Lantro. We look forward to staying here again in the summer. The photo's of this condo are very nice but all I can say is that it is even FAR nicer than the photo's. The view is fantastic with the water's edge being only about 50 yards from the condo. Birds and other wildlife are everywhere especially in the mornings and evenings. We really enjoyed just hanging out on the spacious balcony and relaxing....very peaceful. We would recommend Sea-Lantro and Pointe West to anyone looking for a great vacation spot. We will be back! Thank you Tony and Karen.

Tony & Karen, Thank you so much for being so accommodating and easy to work with on such short notice. When my husband and I saw the weather report for that weekend we wanted to head to the beach. After 13 years of staying at variety of places on the Island the west end has always been our favorite. The beaches are beautiful and it's so peaceful and quite. Pictures do not do your beautiful condo justice. Immaculately decorated, spacious and spotlessly clean. Every detail was thought of to make our stay perfect. I love to cook and the kitchen was stocked with everything I could possibly need. We were able to bring our groceries with us. Having the elevator right outside the front door was another plus. My husband loved the 48" High Def LED TV. The view from the huge balcony was so surreal. We enjoyed the birds in the morning while drinking our coffe and the beautiful sunsets in the evening while sipping on our wine. We had no idea Point West had so much to offer. The main clubhouse with the infinity pool and hot tub over looking the ocean was so impressive but we also enjoyed the the hot tub on the bayside with all the beautiful birds in the bay water. It was even warm enough for us to walk the private beach area that was also very clean especially for this time of year. We have finally found our favorite spot at Sea-Lantro. We are already looking for dates to come back in the spring and summer!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo

We had a wonderful time at this beach condo! :) A big thank you to Tony and Karen for providing such a spacious, beautifully-decorated place and making it available to our furry-pets as well. Pictures never do a place justice, and we were really wowed at how spacious and beautiful the condo is. And the balcony! It's HUGE. It's really an extra room. The view is specatular. It looks like a bird sanctuary out there, and we spent hours watching all the various bird species. Also, the grounds are wonderful to walk around, with multiple ponds and winding sidewalks. This condo is on the bay side, so we jumped in the car to cross the main road and go to the beach. But I actually preferred the view we had on the bay side. There's something so peaceful about all the tall grasses and birds.... Plus there are beautiful shells along the beach/grass-line that you never see over on the gulf beach side. Of course they're all occupied with hermit crabs! But still, they're fun to see. Anyway, I want to make mention of some special reasons this place was perfect for us, in case others are looking for a place that's accessible or allows animals. Finding a place that fit everyone's needs was quite a challenge. My brother is 100% disabled and uses a scooter, so we needed elevator access, plus doorways that were wide enough to bring the scooter inside. My Mom needed to bring her 17-year-old cat (too much stress on cat to board), and we needed to bring our large, diabetic dog, who had recently gone blind. This is a tall order, plus we wanted a great view so that the folks with health issues could enjoy the beach atmosphere if they weren't able to get out. Tony was so nice to work with. We had a really nice discussion, and he made it easy for us to go on vacation. I'm sure pet approval is on case-by-case basis, and we can't thank him enough for trusting us to bring our pets and take good care of his condo. This was really a once-in-a-lifetime event for us, with my brother and mother there. We'll probably never be all together again. Plus, next time my husband and I go to the beach, we knew where we'll be staying! Absolutely would rent again!

The condo was easily large enough for me and my family which totaled 8 people. It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The location was great as I was able to walk out every morning to fish in the bay which was only 50-75 yards away and the weather was beautiful. I will definitely lease this condo again year after year. Thanks for the great memories!

Tony and Karen, Just wanted to thank you both. I received the deposit thank you for sending this. I also wanted to thank you for the most wonderful vacation I have had in a long time. Our family really enjoyed your fantastic home. My grand daughter cried when we had to leave. She spent about the next hour trying to figure out how we could just stay at the beach. We just enjoyed the outdoors and the time together away from our busy lives in Austin. We did find it amazing the common things in the house that we shared. I have the same tile installed in my house only the dark tile which I just love so we all enjoyed that. Same rugs some of the wall hangings were the same it was interesting and just made us all feel like we were at home. Anyway you will always be remember now for giving us wonderful memories in the summer of 2012 the year I turned 60! I still am having a time with that number! Thanks again, Anne

The pictures do not do this condo justice. It is a huge, gorgeous condo, with beautiful furnishings, an amazing balcony/view. The condo owner is very responsive to inquiries. Trying to coordinate our vacation from Canada having never been to Galveston, Tony was very helpful. Thank you. The kitchen in the condo is stocked with everything you need, just bring groceries. My children (8 and 4) had an amazing time for our family vacation, they absolutely loved the bunk beds and crabbing at the bay! You can drive and park at the pools which are close, and the beach club areas are all well maintained/managed. There is also access to a gorgeous stretch of beach. Point West is at the far end, but we found it to be exceptionally clean, and it offers some privacy from the tourist hustle in the centre of Galveston. You can come and stay within the west end and there is still plenty to do. I only wish we had more time!!! Well there's always next year!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. The atmosphere was so cozy, nice, new and clean. Our group of 4 adults and 4 children felt so comfortable in this space. And the views of the bay were beautiful, especially at sunset. The owners were very helpful and available to answer all of my questions. We would definitely recommend choosing this condo. It had easy access to the beach and pool club with a short car ride, but was secluded and quiet.

The best part of our stay was the condo named Sea Lantro, which we rented through VRBO. The owner was prompt, very accommodating and the condo met our needs perfectly. I am a clean freak and found the condo exceptionally clean and comfortable. The owners have furnished the condo very tastefully and it felt like home. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make great meals. The views from this particular condo are fantastic and very peaceful. We found the community very quiet and not at all crowded. It is some distance from the main part of the island, which is nice if you want to get away to the beach or pool. However, bring plenty of groceries and supplies, as it is a good 20-30 minute drive to grocery stores and Wal-mart, etc. There are a few restaurants On the west end of the island, including Waterman's (which I highly recommend). Most of the action is on the main part of the island. The west end is great for families with small children or those just wanting to get away to peace and quiet! The pools are clean and nice and the beaches are fairly clean, although the water is very turbid as it is everywhere on Galveston. Room Tip: sea Lantro was the perfect place to stay. Rented through VRBO.

Our extended family of eight stayed here for three great days. We found the condo to be very accomodating and exceptionally clean and comfortable. We felt like we were at home!. The three bedrooms slept 4 adults and 4 children comfortably. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make and serve large family meals. Everything was of the quality you would buy for you own home. We appreciated the clean linens and the many towels which Tony and Karen had on hand for use. The views off the balconies were beautiful and incredibly peaceful. In short, this condo had everything we needed to enjoy our Galveston vacation.

Pointe West is the best kept secret. It is beautiful and away from the madness. The condo was beautifully decorated with bay views and the kids could walk to the crabbing pier in seconds. Our favorite activity was to go to the beach near the resort pool at sunset. The breeze kept us cool, cars are not allowed on this section of the beach and we practically had it to ourselves. The fish were jumping like crazy and the kids caught several in a matter of minutes. They especially enjoyed the lazy river pool while I enjoyed the cabanas at the resort pool.

Best Accomodations in Galveston

Sea-Lantro was extremely clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, and well equipped. We enjoyed four nights there and really felt like we were staying in someone's home- SO much nicer than staying in a hotel. Our kids (ages 11, 13, 15) had a wonderful time and did not want to leave. We have traveled all over the country, but had never made it down to Galveston...we will definitely return! We stayed one night in Houston, then a couple days at Moody Gardens before heading out to Pointe West. The entire family wishes we would've dedicated more time to our stay at Sea-Lantro! We love to cook and the kitchen was stocked with all supplies necessary to make any meal you desire. We ate breakfast and lunch each day in the condo, and made dinner there on 2 evenings. We watched a movie together in comfort one night in the living area. The beds were very comfortable also. The master bath was very nice. My kids loved having bunk beds, and especially liked having a TV in their room! They also commented on the softness of the towels (they were nice & thick). Balcony was spacious and we enjoyed mornings and evenings there. Absolutely loved having washer & dryer. Make sure you bring food/ drink items to stock your kitchen, as you are about 20 minutes out. We loved the location! -so much more relaxing than the busy Seawall area. The beach club was great- nice pools & beach area. My kids got some great, bright colored tshirts in the gift shop and bought boogie boards for the ocean. We would definitely stay there again- great accommodations and bay view, and just across the street from beach.

Absolutely Perfect

I've stayed in several condos on the coast but none as nice as this one. The condo itself is big and roomy and well layed out. The furniture and decorations are all in as new condition and are first class. The TVs are all large with the one in the master as big as a movie screen, really great. The kitchen is large with all new appliances and everything you could ever need to cook that gourmet meal is there. We spent a lot of time on the balcony taking in the great 180 degree view of the bay and in the evening were treated to some of the best sunsets on the island. Some of the best fishing on the island is only feet from your door. We brought home some great trout and redfish fillets. Can't go wrong staying here and we can't wait to get back.

Stayed in this condo from 6-18 to 6-25 2012. Without doubt one of the best I've ever stayed in. Big and roomy with first class furniture, decorations and electronics. Kitchen has everything you could ever need. Balcony is very spacious with a great 180 degree view of the bay and some of the best sunsets on the island. This area has some of the best fishing on the island. My son would fish every day and would always catch a mess of trout and redfish. Thanks to the owners for a great time and can't wait to come back.

It is really the most premiere destination on the Gulf Coast. Pointe West is secluded and feels exclusive. The pools are great, step out the door and go fishing and crabbing. I am a prior owner and just loved the condo we stayed in. Gorgeous views, super relaxing, all the amenities you need. Thanks and I'll be back, SOON!

We had a great time while staying at this rental home in Galveston. Very peaceful and relaxing. Great view of the bay and just across the street to the beach. The balcony faces the east so you don't get the afternoon sun and is nice. The pictures were accurate of the rental house. Very clean and spacious. Wish there was a pull out sofa in the Living Area to add more room. You can easily put a blow up bed in the living room and a twin blow up bed in the kids room if you needed. The resort next door was great except the Grill was not open when we were there which we were counting on. Owners were great to deal with and received our deposit back within about a week. Anytime I had questions, the owner answered the phone or called me back quickly. Very pleasant experience and we would stay there again in the future. We were not familiar with the area and just want to advise you to bring food to prepare or plan on traveling atleast 20-30 minutes to eat. The beach in that area is not that crowded atleast during the weekday. Bring a portable canopy to stay cool. We did rent a golf cart and we went with Coastal Cruizers. We enjoyed them but is not necessary for your stay. It did help with not getting sand all in our cars from the kids though. Overall we had a great experience and staying here made it more enjoyable!! Thank You so much for an awesome vacation!!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

Sea-Lantro was a perfect getaway for a holiday weekend. Located at the far west end of Galveston Island, it removed us from all of the hustle and bustle of the Memorial Day crowds. It's location also provides easy access to the bay side of the Island, for those who want to fish, or the surf side of the Island for those who want to play in the sand and enjoy the waves. Renting here also gives you access to the Pointe West beach club with two private pools and a private beach area where no cars are allowed for even more seclusion, although one of the pools was not open when we were there, they were working feverishly to get everything back in order. The condo was in perfect condition. It has a large patio accommodating to at least 8 people in chairs, a clean kitchen with everything you need to prepare any dish you may want, and there is also a community charcoal grill for this and the neighboring condo units to use. The master had a wonderfully comfortable king bed with a TV and a grand master bath. There were also a queen bed and two sets of bunks. The living room had a nice flat screen TV and wireless internet access which everyone I was with appreciated. All in all it was a fantastic weekend at a wonderful house!
