  The pictures of this house do not do it justice! The house is so well thought out and was spotless upon arrival which is not an easy thing to do when you are on the beach as sand gets everywhere! There were seven people in our party ranging in age from nine to 73! The house fits all peoples needs! The bathrooms were great and towels brand new. The walk in showers have seats in them. Don't let the spiral staircase worry you, if you have an older/not steady on the feet party member as there is a very nice set of stairs on the screen porch that can be used! The owner was there to welcome and orient us to house. He was available for our questions throughout the week. We were not interested in a vacation where we hung out at beach with thousands of other people and this was perfect! Though the area is remote there is plenty to do! Long walks on the beach, fishing, kayaking, swimming, visit the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab, visit Apalachicola-a cute ocean village with great shops, and so much more! St Teresa is a fabulous secret so don't tell anyone, OK? My family can't wait to go back!

  I want to first thank John and his family for extending the courtesy and pleasure of renting their house to my family. My initial response from the photos was a little concerning, but I was sold on the beach front location. However, upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the extremely well laid out accomodations, the excellent condition, and overal large size of the house. The property is much better in person than the photos reveal. The owners put a lot of thought and detail in the design of the house including faucets at every entry to wash the sand off your feet and equipment, an interior/exterior shower to clean off on your way inside, 4 bathrooms (need I say more), 5 well appointed bedrooms, 2 kitchens and 2 large living rooms, and last but not least, there was a nice fish cleaning room. The house had great stereos in both living rooms, which you could also use to have music out on the patios. We had a party of 18, with the majority being kids under 16yrs old, and we never once felt cramped, despite having record cold temps that week. I really enjoyed the short walk to the fishing pier, and the fishing off the pier. We caught some nice trout, a few redfish, a bunch of small blacktip sharks, a spotted gar, which is usually a freshwater fish, but we found out they venture out into saltwater on occasion. We also loved the great beaches and shallow waters, which allowed our 3yr son a lot of fun in the small surf. The low tides also created numerous tide pools, which the kids all loved to explore. This is very little commercial development around this area, which we found to be very relaxing, so if you want a lot of shops to visit, this area isn't for you. We loved the seclusion of the private beach, and the friendly people who visit. Our dog loved running on the beach without a leash (only recommended if you have a very friendly dog, as there are a lot of other dogs that roam around). Do not bring a dog that is untamed or barks a lot, as that will not be enjoyed by the other visitors. The day we left, someone was in the house next door that had two dogs that barked at us nonstop as we loaded up, and I was about to ring their necks. If they had been there all week, I would have not had such a positive review. I would recommend this house to large families, and I would definately return. I'm actually considering booking this property again next year.

  This house is beautiful and perfect! Great views of the beach from the over-sized windows and screened porches (upstairs and downstairs) while sitting in a swing under ceiling fans. Enjoyed listening to the radio on the porches with the outdoor speakers and playing UNO (one of the many games available at the property) with the kids at night. Beautiful outdoor shower with lots of room to hang bathing suits and beach towels that even connected to a bathroom. House was very clean (like new) and fully equipped. Very few places have 3 refrigerators, which is nice with multiple families. Nice to have a fridge on back porch for cold drinks to keep from going in and out of the house all day. Owners were very friendly, easy to contact and to make arrangements with. St Teresa is a beautiful, private and quiet beach. The beach residents were very friendly and also dog friendly. The beach was perfect for exploring and for boating. At low tide the kids could go far in search of crabs, shells and one child found a scallop. Kids also found two small fresh water creeks that fed into the ocean that they enjoyed following and crossing as if on an expedition. There was also a long pier for fishing. Unlike other beaches the waves and current were not as strong which allowed for small children to go deep into the water or for mooring a boat over night. Very inviting and relaxing. Felt like home. After leaving I was contacted by the owner to return my little girls bunny rabbit that was left by mistake. So considerate, looking forward to going back.

  This house is wonderful! We stayed a week and rented the entire house for our group of eight. More than enough room and we loved letting the kids enjoy the upstairs to themselves. The beach was great and we really enjoyed the sand bars for playing, exploring, and swimming. We loved the outdoor shower and the screen porches. Internet & TV froze up a few times, but nothing major. The owner was great to work with and very accommodating. St. Teresa is a hidden treasure.

  House is very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. We were immediately impressed. We rented the lower part of the house (3 bed rooms), as there were only six of us, and there was more than enough comfortable seating and dining space. The view out the picture window toward the Gulf is great. The kitchen is very well equipped, so we had no issues preparing dinners, etc. The screened porches (both levels) provide a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the breeze, and get out of the sun all day long. The Owner was more than helpful and provided great directions (you would not find it simply with a GPS). The Owner has provided access to numerous games, books, and other amenities that just add to the great experience.
