About the owner: My husband and I both grew up in Massachusetts and we currently reside about one hour and 15 minutes away from our property, making it the perfect second home. We have 3 children ages 12, 10 and 4. The kids are always asking when we are going back to the Lake. They have made great friends up there and there are always things for them to do. In the summer we spend many weekends by the pool, or on the beach at the Lake, or sometimes on a family member's boat. If it's not the perfect beach or pool day, the kids will walk down to the Lake and spend hours searching for frogs in the pond nearby, which is why we call it the 'Frog Pond'. My son and husband will bring their fishing rods and cast right from the rocks near the beach. In the fall months, the foliage is breathtaking. In the winter months, we will go skiing at Gunstock Mountain (15 minutes away) or will set up traps for ice fishing at Pickerel Pond (also 15 minutes away). And, I have to mention my annual 'girls weekend' when my friends and I do some serious shopping at the Tilton outlets, then treat ourselves to a spa day at Cascade Spa on the water in Meredith Harbor. These are just a few ways we enjoy all of our time up at the Lake, no matter what time of year!
Why the Owner Chose Laconia:
This home was purchased by my in-laws in 1991 and they were the original owners. It remained in my husband's family until 2005 when we purchased it along with my brother-in-law and his wife from my mother-in-law whose only wish was that it stayed in the family. Many family members have purchased their own homes within the same gated community because of the wonderful amenities and grounds. It is truly a wonderful place to enjoy with family and friends!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Where else can you enjoy mountain views, impeccably maintained grounds, walking trails, swimming in the pool or the Lake (your preference) and be within close proximity to the other amenities the Lakes region has to offer? Nowhere but here, yes we are a little biased on this one!
