Horse Valley Ranch was the perfect spot for me and my family to unwind after a very stressful year. It is the perfect place to seek quiet and solitude if your looking to get away from it all. The home is beautiful and well furnished if you are looking to kick back and relax. The house was clean We also had the opportunity to visit local Capital Reef National Park and take a few hikes. The weather was great for January as it was still cool but well above freezing. After a few days of exploring the property we found a great ATV trail that was challenging but still relatively do-able for a family and lead to a beautiful and serene lake called Neffs. Lots of wildlife to photograph, and excellent scenery. Next time I would like to bring a few horses and do a little trail-riding. Overall a great experience for my family that I would recommend to anyone. We will be going again for sure!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Thank you so much, Mark and Brenda, for allowing us to stay at your beautiful, spacious Horse Valley Home over Labor Day weekend 2011. There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room for more! We had such a great time. We wish we could have stayed longer – and can’t wait to go back! My elderly parents enjoyed relaxing and reading on the porch in your handsome rocker. My husband enjoyed the peaceful early mornings watching amazing wildlife grazing in the fields through the spotting scope. My sons and their friends enjoyed the pool table, ATV riding, watching the horses, shooting their airsoft guns, etc. There was definitely something for everyone! We all also enjoyed hiking, mountain biking, stargazing (the skies were amazing!), the wonderful remoteness, and serene peacefulness. Like you told us – it’s a great place to get away from it all! Thanks, again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.
Owner response: We agree with you about the bright stars at the ranch. Its hard to find a place where you can view such an impressive display of the milky way. Glad to hear you had a great time.

About the owner: Mark Newman and his family have owned and has enjoyed this ranch for over 15 years. When asking Mark why he bought this property, he said ' I bought it so I had a place to go where no one could bother me.' Our family is from Riverton Utah. We are the outdoor/sporty type. We have spent many weekends hunting, fishing, hiking and riding motorcycles and ATVs and horses at this ranch.
