Located in Carbon Canyon, a short hike from “Billionaires Beach,” is this newly remodeled zero-carbon, solar powered, mid-century house nestled on a two-acre mesa overlooking the ocean and the canyon. Our property can sleep 6-8 people comfortably. It is in a serene rural canyon setting that is home to hawks, parrots, birds, coyotes, bobcats, deer, and goats, and yet it is a short drive to downtown Malibu or to Santa Monica.
The main house has three bedrooms – 1 queen, 1 queen, 2 singles with two bathrooms (sleeps 6). There is also a one bedroom + one bathroom apartment with a full kitchen (sleeps 2). The property has a three-car garage and plenty of off street parking.
The spacious master bedroom suite has an ocean view from the queen bed. It has a sitting area with a 50-inch LED satellite TV with surround sound and blue-ray along with an ipod dock. The green glass tiled master bath has radiant heated floors, granite counters with two sinks, a two person-soaking tub, and a separate shower.
The second bedroom has an ocean view from a queen size fold out sofa bed. The third bedroom overlooks the canyon from the two single beds. These bedrooms share a blue deco tiled bathroom with a vintage shower tub and an ocean view. The family room has a 55-inch LED satellite TV with surround sound and blu-ray. The house has Wi-Fi throughout, and an energy star rated washer and dryer. The main house can sleep 6 people comfortably.
This one of a kind property has wood block floors with vintage mid-century furniture. All of the lights are fitted w. LED bulbs. The kitchens have new energy star rated appliances with granite counter tops. The family room opens onto a huge back deck with a Weber gas BBQ. The house has an extremely efficient, quiet a.c./heating system and a fireplace in the living room.
In addition to the main house there is a one-bedroom apartment. It has a double bed along with a sofa that folds out into a double bed, a newly remodeled eat in granite kitchen and living room with a 45-inch Google/Satellite LED TV and surround sound. The apartment can sleep 2 people comfortably.
