This was our first year in Manasoata Key and this condo sure fit the bill. It was clean, comfortable (great beds) and well stocked in every way, from the kitchen (where you could look out to the Gulf), to everything you could need for fun in the sun…chairs, towels, umbrellas, toys, etc. The owner was very positive and easy to reach. The pictures are accurate and we enjoyed every minute of our stay in this unit. Pelican Landing has a great deal to offer, whether you stay on the gulf or bay side. There are three buildings on each side. We really liked the fact that the pool, hot tub and rest rooms are right next to the beach. We had family visit while there…some liked the beach…some the pool, but we were still able to be close together. We arrived expecting to spend most of our time on the beach side, but were very drawn to the beautiful bayside dock. Herons, egrets, pelicans and even a manatee came to visit. This became our favorite spot, especially at day’s end. You could easily spend the majority of your time right there, with scheduled activities, a well-stocked library, tennis courts and very friendly people. However, there is also much to do and see in the area, starting with a walk through Stump Pass State Park, or daily yoga on the town beach. Mango Bistro quickly became our favorite local restaurant with great entertainment on Fri. and Sat. nights. There is literally something here for everyone and we can’t wait to return next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our stay at this listing was very enjoyable. We were familiar with this facility from previous visits and looked forward to returning. We feel that the description and photos accurately represent the properties appearance and amenities. The unit was clean, well maintained and comfortable and our stay was very relaxing. The living and sleeping areas are well appointed. The dining room table easily accommodates six, the kitchen is well equipped and we prepared everything from snacks to main dinners. Our favorite area was the eastward facing lanai, where we could have our morning breakfast in the warming sunshine of the new day, and which provided a relaxing shaded retreat to visit, read, email or have meals. We enjoyed the opportunities for activity and relaxation. Tennis, Pickle Ball, Golf, Bocce Ball, card games (poker, bridge, euchre), evening sunsets and social events are available. We really enjoyed the evening wiener roast on the beach event while we were there. Most of all, we loved walking along the beach with each day bringing a new landscape and new treasures to find. There are several restaurants, some with evening entertainment, that are just ½ mile south, close enough to be convenient, but not too close to intrude on the quiet. We also enjoyed several excellent restaurants off the key in Englewood. In addition, Venice and Sarasota are close and provide additional recreation and entertainment opportunities. The owners of this listing were very helpful and easy to work with both before and during our stay. Our time went all too quickly and the accommodations made this one of the best stays we have had. We would recommend this rental unit to any of our friends or relatives and we look forward to our next visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

About the owner: We bought this unit after spending time on Manasota Key and loving the atmosphere, weather and both bay and beach access. We now can't wait until the next time we can travel to the beach!
Why the Owner Chose Manasota Key:

If you like nightlife, there are a number of beach bars less than a mile away that usually have live music at night and great food.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We think our condo is very inviting. It has a light, beachy, yet homey feel that even the kids can feel comfortable in. The unit is very clean and allows you to forget about your worries, at least for a little while.
