My friends and I stayed in the mountain house over labor day weekend and we had a fantastic time. There was so much to do and such a beautiful scenic view from every angle! We went hiking, white water rafting, disc golfing, and much more! It is for sure the best home away from home anyone could ask for! I definitely will be returning very soon! Thank you so much for such a wonderful time!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week in the Highlands over the 4th of July. The house is centrally located between Main St., where we enjoyed unique shopping and exquisite meals; and the River, where we enjoyed picnics, wading in the water and taking in the beautiful scenery. The house is very spacious and offers extreme privacy, whereas each floor is equipped with a bedroom, bathroom and living room. The main level features a kitchen/dining area, and a fabulous deck, where we spent countless hours bird watching, reading and meditating. We are already planning our next mountain getaway, and look forward to enjoying all this house has to offer again!

Wonderful 3 story, 3 bedroom x 3 bath house!!!! Each floor has a bedroom and bath and its very, very nice. The kitchen is wonderfully appointed. The stove works like a charm, and ohhh the back deck is amazing. Birds come to the bird feeders, once the feeders are filled with feed (that is in the pantry). The wireless access point works great, is fast, and coverage extends throughout the entire house and the back deck. It is just a minute from downtown Highlands, and a dream. Perfect getaway from the warmer temperatures down here in Charleston, SC! Great hiking, river access, and lakes are literally just seconds away!! Thanks for such a great place. It was one of our best getaways in years! Absolutely loved the house!!!!

About: Georgia couple with two grown sons who love the mountains and all it has to offer. We went to South Carolina and Georgia with one son going to Auburn and the other going to Georgia. With the addition of wives we got more diversified with Clemson and UNC. Needless to say, football games are colorful at our house.
We loved the fact that it had 3 living areas, perfect for giving our guests or family a quiet place of their own. The first year we bought the house we spent New Years with our 2 sons and their wives. It was great, on the main level the guys were watching nonstop football, the girls were upstairs watching the parade and I was downstairs making a dust ruffle and watching whatever I liked.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Very close to town, about 1.2 miles to center, just a stroll down to Mirror Lake to fish or watch the ducks. The front porch has 2 rockers which sometimes get moved to back deck for long lazy afternoons with the cool breeze blowing.
