Three-level town home; 2200sq. feet; 2 bedrooms; 3 ½ baths, sleeps 6.

Salida Riverfront Town Home is located in downtown Salida, three blocks from the center of Historic Downtown Salida, on the beautiful Arkansas River.

This three story town home was built in 2007 with elegant, high-end finishes. Each of the three floors has its own spacious deck that overlooks (nearly overhangs!) the Arkansas River with amazing views both upstream and downstream, including a view of Tenderfoot (“S”) Mountain. The lowest deck has stairs down to water level and a jacuzzi hot tub that can be used year round.

The well appointed kitchen has lots of granite counter space and is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare gourmet meals. (We're serious--the kitchen has EVERYTHING you would expect to find in a regular family kitchen—including a dishwasher.) Those gourmet meals can be enjoyed at either the indoor or outdoor dining tables--both have amazing views. Your designated chef need not despair of cooking duty--he or she can enjoy the company of companions AND views of the Arkansas River because the kitchen is open to the main living and dining area.

The lower level is a spacious second living room designed for relaxation, with a leather couch, reclining chairs, 32 inch flat screen television, small library of books, gas fireplace, and full bath. The deck on this level has steps down to the river, and the sound of the river through the oversize sliding glass doors is mesmerizing. In fact, each of the three levels has oversize sliding glass doors onto the decks and the river can be clearly heard from all three floors.

There are two large bedroom suites on opposite sides of the upper floor, each with private bathrooms. The master suite faces the river, has its own deck, and a king size bed with high quality linens. The master bath has double sinks and a large, beautifully tiled shower with bench.

The second bedroom faces the front of the home with views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains to the south and has two queen sized beds with high quality linens and goose-down comforters. The bathroom in this second bedroom is also beautifully tiled and includes a bath tub.

Other amenities include a single car garage with extra space to store your toys,
and parking for an additional vehicle in the driveway (additional parking is available on the street); Bose iPod dock, full linens, four 32 inch flat screen TVs, full size washer and dryer, gas grill, walk-in closets in each bedroom, side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker, large kitchen pantry, gas range and oven and microwave. And do not forget to the Hot Tub added November 2012.

We also have solar panels on the roof sufficient to provide 100% of our electrical use including heating our new energy efficient hot tub.

My family had a great weekend in Salida! We had never visited Salida, CO in the past but we will most definitely return. What a great little town! We hope to stay in this particular townhome every time we visit. I already tried to book it again for the 4th of July but it is taken ( no surprise!) The location is perfect- it is right on the river and just a short walk or bike ride into town. You can tell the owners take great pride in this property! It is very comfortable and welcoming. We were also able to attend a wedding knowing that we had a great babysitter that had been recommended by the owners daughter! Thanks so much Jones family! We hope to rent from you again very soon!

This townhouse is absolutely lovely! It is everything the description depicts and more. Beautifully decorated and maintained, and sitting right on the Arkansas River with close views of mountains across the river. The townhouse has 3 levels and each has a very large deck overlooking the river. The kitchen is state-of-the-art with every amenity you could want. Exceptionally comfortable living spaces inside, very private and quiet, and yet only several blocks from the town of Salida, so you can walk to everything. I chose this townhouse after scouring the town of Salida. My two sisters and I had a fly fishing and girls' trip planned to this vicinity. We are all used to staying in more upscale hotels, inns, etc. After reviewing this, and talking with the owners, I selected it. I am so glad! Again a beautiful place and location. The owners, Doug and Linda, were amazing to work with, easily accessible at all times, and very helpful with our questions, etc. I was very concerned about it being a quiet location, and it definitely is. Really, the only noise you hear is the sound of the river if you open the sliding doors to the decks. There are 2 very large and comfortable bedrooms upstairs and each has its own bath and large walk-in closet. Plenty of storage space. All the beds were plush and we had no problems falling asleep! Both baths are beautifully decorated - exactly what you would want in your own home. You also get the use of a one-car garage, which we liked because we did not have to leave our car on the street or in the driveway. There are more than enough restaurants to select from, and within the downtown district, all are walkable from this townhouse. Great shops and a few galleries to visit, too. We especially liked The Laughing Ladies Restaurant - very upscale food and casual dress. The fishing on the Arkansas River was amazing! We caught many browns and a few rainbows and the action never stopped. In fact, you can walk down to the river right from the lower deck of this townhouse and start the fishing as soon as you arrive! We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. After seeing the town, if you do not want a motel chain or other type of accommodation, this is the absolutely best place to stay. Having such a wonderful place to return to each day, and owners so gracious to work with, actually were the main reasons this trip was one of our best yet. The great fishing helped too!

We had a wonderful time in Salida celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. This vacation home is EVERYTHING vrbo says! It is very welcoming and has everything you would need right down to the Waterford wine glasses! The bedding and linens were fabulous as were all the amenities around the home. Monarch Mountain is a nice 30 minute drive from the condo and the skiing was fabulous. After a full day of skiing we enjoyed the wonderful hot tub which overlooks the Arkansas River...it was so relaxing to listen to the water go by only a few feet away. Each of the three decks has a little table which would be an absolutely wonderful place to have coffee in the morning during warmer weather. We experienced some of the fabulous restaurants that Salida has -- Fritz and the Laughing Ladies were our favorites. We highly recommed this home for your next vacation...Doug and Linda are very active owners and want to make your stay a memorable one.

We spent an amazing weekend enjoying this townhome and hitting the slopes. From the gorgeous wood floors, beautiful kitchen, luxurious bedrooms, and relaxing downstairs living room...this place is a gem. Everything in the townhome was clean and very shiny! Even though it was winter, the decks over the river are great! We have two young sons and brought along my in-laws to stay at the townhome with the boys when they were not skiing. There was plenty of space for them to play and relax in the afternoons while my husband and I got some extra runs in. The location is unbeatable. On top of the fabulous place, not long after we arrived, Doug called to make sure we were settled in and checked to see if we needed anything. Great place and great owner to work with. We will be back next year!

Stayed with my family and friend. Very comfortable and nicely appointed. A short walk to downtown Salida and an easy 30 minute drive to Monarch for some skiing. A good getaway from the Front Range for a long weekend. Definitely recommend the condo.

Listing for the property is spot on and decorated as if it could be your home. Numerous amenities available on site including Ipod docks on main and lower level for music and full DVD theater experience on lower family room. The addition of a 4 person spa on the lower deck during our stay was seamless and an amazing addition to the home. Location is superb with a 5 minute walk to downtown Salida and beautiful riverfront views. I would recommend this home to families and anyone who enjoys being close to downtown while still having the tranquility of the river. It is a tri-level home so be ready to climb stairs. I see it as an advantage because you have 3 decks to view the river and mountains but if you are of the age where knee and back ailments are a concern you may want to take that into consideration. Great trip and the owners are very upfront and accessible if any issues come up. We had an amazing time and I hope to rent there again soon on our next visit.

Excellent property in wonderful condition and very well appointed. Was exactly as described and illustrated in write-up and photos. Owners were great to work with and their pride of ownership shines and personalizes the home. The area can't be beat for easy walking to downtown shopping, dining and river access. It's an easy day to have a morning aspen viewing hike in the San Isabel WIlderness, lunch in Buena Vista, afternoon soak in Mt Princeton Hot Springs and be back in Salida in time for dinner. What's not to love? We would stay again and highly recommend this property.

This is a beautiful, clean, and comfortable rental. The river off the balcony is wonderful and my children enjoyed playing in it everyday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay so close to nature and the downtown area for meals and entertainment. The area has a zip line tour, water rafting, 14,000 foot mountain climb and bicycling the town was a great way to get to know the area. The owners are very helpful and nice to work with. This rental and this area comes highly recommended.

The house is finished out very well. The beds are comfortable. nice location close to town (we biked to town for meals). there are nice outdoor spaces on each of the three levels with access to the river from the lower level. Overall, we enjoyed the house. The windows have translucent blinds, so it was quite bright in the riverside master bedroom early each morning. And there's no AC.

Owner response: Thanks Kerry for your review. Glad you and your friends had a good time in Salida and at our home. The lack of A/C is in our listing and our unit has great window ventilation on 3 sides. Salida normally does not need A/C as it cools down nicely in the evening. Linda and I travel with eye masks if one or both of us want to sleep in and when in Salida we love to have the doors open so we get the cool night time breezes and we can hear the river flowing by. Thanks again for staying with us. Doug

Linda is a retired Nurse. We also have a family run real estate business in Minneapolis. We have been married 38 years and still like each other.

                  Why the Owner Chose Salida:
Linda and I bought this house in may of 2012. We bought the home to be close to our daughter and son in law and especially our brand new grand daughter. The decision to buy the house was a compromise. I wanted to be on the river and Linda wanted to be close to downtown. This house gives us both what we wanted. We visit often in all seasons and have come to love Colorado and all the outdoor activities.

The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Close to great trout fishing, Monarch Mountain Ski area, bike or walk to restaurants and shopping or just explore. Great hiking areas surround Salida. We love the weather here.
