Outstanding hiking opportunities abound in nearby Roosevelt National Forest. You're likely to see moose, elk, deer, fox, coyotes, birds and birds of prey. You'll find shops and restaurants in the quaint Village of Red Feather Lakes and area nearby. If you'd like a white-water rafting adventure, just travel down to Ft. Collins (a 45 mile drive) and take a raft trip on the Cache La Poudre River, a designated 'Wild and Scenic River'. In the winter months, the area is perfect for snowmobiling, cross- country skiing, and tubing.
