Wonderful, spacious apartment in the heart of a lovely, historic city! My college girlfriends and I, celebrating our 40th birthdays this year, got together for the weekend. We had plenty of bathroom, bedroom and kitchen space - evermore important as we get older and pickier! We happened to arrive on a re-enactment weekend and were immersed in the action. It was great fun. (Had we run out of things to do, we were just an hour from DC.) Grocers, gas stations, independent shops and more are within walking distance. The apartment was clean, comfortable and secure. I would only caution that it is located on the third floor, accessible by stairs. Can be a bit of a haul with groceries and suitcases. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a long or short stay in Fredericksburg: families, couples, professionals.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your response. The condo really is tucked into the best location to enjoy Fredericksburg. I am glad that you and your friends enjoyed it! You are correct about the stairs. They have never been a problem for anyone, but do keep the apartment from being handicapped accessible.

About the owner: We are a busy family with young children. We love Maury #303 and use it as our 'city home' when we want to spend a weekend walking to the park down the street, eating at great local restaurants, shopping at the local butcher or farmer's market, and pretending to be tourists. We love to hop on the VRE and sip coffee while we head to DC. I also use this condo several days per month as my personal office.
Why the Owner Chose Fredericksburg:
This property captured our imagination the first time that we laid eyes on it. The schoolhouse was used during the 1940s thru the 60s, and then sat vacant for many years. The renovation produced sunny, unique condominiums that offer gated privacy, easy walking distance to the quaint shops and restaurants of downtown Fredericksburg, and a central location for historical site visits.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Renovated schoolhouse offers great architecture
Walking distance to many shops, restaurants
Ideal for business travelers, couples, or small families
