Location was great, couldn't be any closer to ormond beach. The beach was very private. The beach was great! Great for my children. Shops were also very close, including a grocery store. Daytona beach and all the excitement of that was less than 10 minutes away. Orlando, Fl was only 1.5 hrs away. The pool was a big let down. It was not maintained nor cleaned upon our arrival. We contacted management immediatley but it wasn't corrected for 5 days, One day before we left. It was a great pool...However .we just couldnt use it. The house....I think needs some homeowners "love". The house went through remolding and the kitchen is beautiful as pictured. It has all cooking items but it was bare as to other VRBO rentals the homeowner had spices / sugar and such for use. There is a washer/dryer for use which they left soap to use...awesome! I did see a fair amount of spiders in and out of the house. All the outdoors furniture had webs on. Not sure if that is a common thing for that area but enough to make the kids wiggle. I dont think the remolding was quite complete as to when it rained the windows leaked which wasnt no big deal to us thought i would just state that. The only other thing that needs improvemnt is garbage collection, when we arrived all 5 containers were full outside the home, leaving no room for our garbage. The homeowner did state in the manaul when to take it out but think people miss it. Overall, We rented this home for the beach location and it was great! We had a great time!Recommended for: Families with young children.
Owner response: We are so glad that you enjoyed your vacation at the Ocean Shore Beach House but sorry that the pool was not well maintained. Thanks to your feedback, we have a new pool company now providing outstanding service. Also, we have extended the cleaners hours to include more time to focus on the outdoor porch, patios and pool area and our pest control service has increased their visits to make sure the house is as clear as possible, inside and out. We have fixed the trash situation and have our maintenance company fixing the window leaks. We hope you will consider returning to our home again.
