We really enjoyed Christmas at your lovely condo. The tile floors, granite counter tops, fully stocked kitchen, in suite laundry facilities and a comfortable kind size bed (just to name a few) were all exactly as promised in the description of the property. This beautifully renovated condo is very clean with all the comforts of home. We were able to enjoy our meals on the large lanai with a breath taking views of the ocean and pool. We were fortunate to be able to see whales right from the lanai. We enjoyed the quiet location close to the Waterfront restaurant as well as the harbor. The complementary snorkel cruise was a nice touch! Tim, it was truly a pleasure working with you! We will definitely recommend this condo to our family and friends.

A Home Away From Home

This condo is everything Tim said it would be and answered my questions, some silly, very promptly and accurately . It's in a very convenient location, no car required, we took the bus, you can download the bus maps from mauicounty.gov/bus, just note that they run once per hour, but they are also only $1 each way. We found the condo complex to be very quiet with the occasional bird squawking, (we thought it was someones pet in the complex) so you will find it never a problem with reserving chairs at poolside or on the grass area. All of the little touches of beach towels and chairs, binoculars for whale watching, a full size kitchen and fridge , IPod docking station and balcony table made it feel like we were at home. We especially enjoyed meeting the local folk; Travis and Dale at Beach Bums, Lyndsay at the Tradewinds who gave us a movie to watch from her own collection, the Milowai gardener who was super friendly, even one of the local Taxi drivers Sandy who drove us when a bus wouldn't do. We arrived on Maui a day early and stayed at the Maui Seaside Hotel (Tim's suggestion) then in the morning went for groceries at Whole Foods, walking distance from the hotel, then took a $35 cab to the condo, it worked out really well for us and we found that Whole Foods had everything we needed for the week including liquor items. This was a very nice treat for my husband and I over Christmas and we would not hesitate to come back to this same location.

Condo has a great view and we liked the underground parking. We had an ant problem and finally resolved it ourselves with some spray. Condo was a good value, comfortable bed, living room furniture okay, only eating area was at kitchen counter or tiny table on balcony. We enjoyed dinning at Buzz's Wharf, great food, and Beach Bums Bar & Grill is good for sandwiches and drinks, both are just around the corner. We have visited Maui 5 or 6 times, normally staying in Kihei, this being our first stay in Maalaea Bay. The wind here at the end of the valley is unbelievable, each day the weather reports would show winds of 15 to 30 MPH, but it felt much stronger than that. A short drive to Kihei and the wind was no longer a problem.

I was contacted by the guest that ghost ants were seen in a couple spots in the condo. I called out our pest control people that spray on a monthly basis and they took care of the problem. However, insects can appear from time to time in this tropical climate. I checked the unit on check out and there were no insects anywhere. Maalaea gets a natural trade wind flow that can be a blessing. When the rest of the island is hot and humid, we get tradewinds that keep our condo very comfortable and the AC is rarely ever required. Our favorite place to stay on Maui

We have vacationed in Hawaii for the past 14 years. Our favorite island is Maui and our favorite place to stay is in the Maalaea area. The owners condo is beautiful. It is clean, very well decorated, and is equipped with everything you need. The view from the lanai is spectacular and the location of the condo is great. We enjoy watching the whales from the lanai. It is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, Maalaea Harbor, and 5 mile beach.

My wife and I had a wonderful time in the condo. It had everything one could need, wonderful views, quiet, access to beach and water, and much more. Mallaea is very windy but other than that a wonderful place to stay.

Maalaea is in a part of the island that gets a natural trade wind flow which is a blessing. We rarely ever have to turn our AC on. It can at times get a bit windy if the trades are flowing heavily in the islands. However, it is generally windy most everywhere on the island when this happens. The only time we get stronger then normal trades in this area is in the early summer. The rest of the year, it is relatively calm.

My wife and I spent our best Hawaii vacation ever at the Milowai 404 during the last two weeks of January 2010.That's something considering his was our 7th trip. The condo was everything that was promised, clean and in very good repair. The only suprise was that it was even nicer then the website shows. It was quiet and relaxing. We will be back. Thanks Tim!

12/10-12/15/09 Tim Hailey, your condo was precisely what we expected as represented by your web site. Thank you for accurately and completely describing the property through nice pictures and written descriptions, including amenities. We found the location to be perfect as related to activities we engaged in and the places we traveled. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer as we were so busily scheduled we did not leave ourselves enough "down time" at your condo and superb surroundings.

We stayed in the Milowai #404 condo for our honeymoon to Maui in Sept. 2008. It was the perfect location for all of our day trips around the island. The condo was like our home away from home while we were there. We were able to hit the nearby grocery store, stock up on supplies (a.k.a seafood and wine!) and make our own romantic dinners, which we enjoyed on the lanai at sunset. There is a bbq on site, and we barbecued a few times. One of the other nice things about having the condo was that we were able to pack light and do laundry. That way we had more space in our bags for gifts! We can't wait to visit again! The Regilios
