3BR/3BA Duplex, Sleeps 8, Central Location to Ski Areas, Dogs Welcome
- Minimum stay:3-5 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
My 3BR Duplex comes complete with Wi-Fi, Cable TV, 50 inch flat screen HDTV and a gas fireplace that turns on with the push of a button for your evening enjoyment. There are numerous games and DVDs provided. And of course the linens and towels are also provided.
The duplex is centrally located to all the hiking, biking, downhill and cross country skiing Summit County has to offer for your enjoyment during the day. In the evening enjoy the gas grill and meals on the front or back deck with mountain views. The kitchen is made for entertaining with granite tile counter tops, two ovens, a popcorn machine and lots of room to just hang out and talk about the days experiences. And the cathedral ceiling in the dining/living area creates a feeling of openness consistent with being in the Colorado Rockies.
Sleeping arrangements include 2 rooms with queen size beds and a third bedroom with 2 bunk beds. A Graco portable crib is also available in the master bed room closet. In terms of parking there is room for one car in the heated garage (my jeep takes up the other half) and two cars in the driveway. One bathroom has a steam shower and another has a jacuzzi tub for relaxing after a day on the slopes or hiking. A washer and dryer are in the duplex.
Summit Country provides free shuttle bus service in the valley between the towns of Silverthorne, Dillon and Frisco and to the ski slopes. The bus stop is about 3 blocks away from the duplex. In addition, Silverthorne has a recreation center a mile away from the duplex with two hot tubs, a sauna, a steam room, 3 pools and 2 water slides. They also have a fully equipped exercise room along with basketball and racquetball courts.
This property is available year round with both nightly and weekly rates available with a minimum three night stay. And as the owner of a chocolate lab I know how dogs become part of the family so I am pleased to welcome up to 2 dogs into my home. One dog crate is provided along with child gates to control the dogs if needed.

Great place for a family ski vacation. Very comfortable for 7 adults and dogs! Quiet location with good access to walking trails with mountain flavor. Extra large dining table made for enjoyable meals, games and family time plus large screen TV - wireless internet worked great. Super clean. We would go back for sure.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

We really enjoyed this very well equipped condo. The living room was large, with a nice gas fireplace, large HD TV (HDMI compatible), vaulted ceiling, huge windows. This room was amazing. Room for one car in the two car garage - owner's Jeep is housed in other spot. Three bathrooms. Huge well equipped kitchen and dining area. Three bedrooms, two with queen size beds, other with two sets of bunk beds. The location is great, a mile or two from I70. We forgot to leave the garage remote behind - David was very understanding. We would definitely go back here. Also - pet friendly!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

We just spent a fantastic week at the condo. It is well located as a base for all Summit County ski areas (providing you have a car) - we skied at keystone, Breck, Vail and Beaver Creek. The description and photos are completely accurate. The condo is extremely well maintained and clean - very well stocked with cooking equipment/utensils and food staples - probably the best unit I have ever stayed at in this respect. We cooked a few times and got take-out from Silverthorne. Can particularly recommend the Nepal Indian restaurant (close to Target). Will definitely be coming back. Many thanks!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners.

We stayed at the duplex over the 2012 Christmas holiday and fully enjoyed the location and wonderfully appointed duplex. The kitchen was larger enough to accomodate several people cooking at one time and had everything imaginable available to make the dinners special and memorable. Having availablity of three showers also helped to get everyone off to the slopes in time. Very nice in every detail.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

I stayed at this property during ski season last year and it was excellent. Though I'm from Denver, my family was in town for a ski weekend. The house is conveniently located near many ski resorts--we traveled to Vail and Breck throughout the weekend. Its proximity to Silverthorne, Dillon, and Frisco made it easy to find places to eat for dinner and rent ski equipment. Plenty of space for everyone to fit comfortably and we were all very happy with the house. I would definitely consider renting here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely, clean, well-appointed townhouse. It was everything the owner said it would be and he was always pleasant and helpful. It was in a quiet neighborhood but close to everything. It was dog friendly which we appreciated with many friendly dogs and friendly people in the area. It was near hiking trails and even had 2 tennis courts in the area for use by the neighborhood. We would definitely recommend this property. We had guests stay with us at 3 different times and they all enjoyed and remarked how clean and charming it appeared. The pictures on the web site area accurate and everything that the owner says about it is correct. Thank you, David for a wonderful experience.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, pet owners, age 55+.

Excellent family oriented property, quiet street, close to central Silverthorne and the best part of Colorado skiiing and mountain activities. Well appointed and maintained for all seasons, many amenities for families and friends. Fully equiped for our familiy of 6 adults, a 2 year old and dog. Portacrib and highchair made the packing simple. Location made it easy to drop the skiers at Breckenridge while others shopped at Frisco. After a full day enjoying outdoors, plenty of room to relax in front of gas fireplace and enjoy up to date home entertainment system or sit around the large family table and play games from a well stocked selection. All of the listing information, photos were accurate and understated the personal touches and extensive appointments that made if feel like a close friend's home from the moment you arrive. Owner was very attentive and responsive. Easy choice for our return to Colorado.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: I am a retired nuclear utility engineering manager and live in the mountains of Pennsylvania. This is my second home and it is furnished accordingly including antiques from my family. I grew up in Washington Pa and attended college at the University of Oklahoma. I served in the Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer and retired as a Commander after 28 years of active and reserve duty..
Why the Owner Chose Other Silverthorne Properties:
I have family living in Denver and wanted to see them more often. It was suggested that if I wanted to see them on the weekends I better get a place in the mountains. So here I am. In addition I have learned to love the Rocky Mountains after numerous family vacations there.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
I wanted the openness of a cathedral ceiling in the living area, a great big kitchen where the family could gather and wonderful mountain views.
